Very nice deli and salad bar. The Deli is cheap and fast. The salad bar is really good with a warm section that is terrific. Recently I have been on a high protein diet and low calorie diet which I mentioned to the cook. He started providing a very nice low calorie baked Chicken breast. Perfect for me! Great service and nice place

Good deli, cheap deli, quick deli. Order a sandwich and get out of there in 5 minutes, and spend $ 5. This is my normal go-to during lunch breaks… sometimes they have good deals and specials.

One of the problem’s with delis/cafes in midtown is that they all serve essentially the same purpose. They have hot bars. They have salad bars. They make salad and serve soup. There are random candies and chocolates from other countries. Cold cases filled with sodas, juices, and beer. Seating for when you have no desire to return to your office with your food. Melanie’s isn’t really different. Its prices may be more reasonable; a 20-ounce bottle of soda here is $ 1.60, whereas it’s $ 1.75 at the Guy & Gallard around the corner, and $ 2.00 at the Greenleaf Market a block and a half away. It’s clean and the staff is friendly. I’d place this as a solid bet for midtown café. If you work nearby, stop in. If you’re a tourist get a soda/water. But it’s not a destination.
