This location used to be ok, but has gone significantly down over the years. They no longer toast sandwiches, honor bean cards, or green cards. They can’t even label the«ready to go» soups correctly. The best bet is to go to Panera Bread a block away, on 5th ave.

Soups are good but the seating is cramped and awkward. Nice that they have water in pitchers available to drink.

Food is overpriced as expected, but that’s the area for you. Food is good though, You do, however, need to update your hours. Location closes at 6:00 not 7:00. Sort of annoying walking out of the way after work only to find out it’s closed…

One of my favorite lunch spots in the Murray Hill area. I tend to get the soup & sandwich combo from them. I love that they offer a variety of soups and that you can actually try a small sample of each one. Tomato cheddar, sweet corn chowder, and chilli are my go to options.

Hale and Hearty? More like Pale and Farty! In its rush to expand to every corner in NYC, the soups have suffered. They are now often diluted with inferior ingredients, resembling a bowl of dirty saltwater. Sometimes I feel like I’m just eating Cambell’s. Although I was excited about this new location, I’m realizing that this isn’t much better than eating soup out of a can(at five times the cost of canned soup).

My favorite lunch spot. Small salad and half soup for pretty cheap. Good quality; fresh ingrediants. I had the seafood sausage soup and custom made my salad: mixed salad chopped with corn, avocado, olives, carrots, cucumber, quinoia with lemon vinigerette and fresh squeezed lime. Delicious!!!

oh Hale and Hearty, how I LOVE your soup and sandwich combos. I started ordering in person, in the store. at all odd hours, right when they open. or during bustling lunch rush hour. At the store, they’re fantastic. the soup scooper people are always on point, serving samples, making sure you have bread. fast and efficient. Sandwich guy is great«it’s gunna be 3 mins ok?» yes. awesome. love my sandwiches panini squished! the cashiers come with an attitude but they get the job done and stamp my frequent soup lover card. But then work started getting busy so i turned to online ordering and delivery. they’re not so great. I’ve ordered a few dozen times from their online site. I generally get a soup and sandwich combo. 3 times, i ordered a sandwich option off their online menu only to receive something totally different. When i call to inform them(not wanting a replacement or comp or anything) they get extremely defensive and tell me that I should’ve known they don’t have that anymore. UHH You guys have it as a clickable option. I’m going to order it! Not my fault. So apparently, they don’t coordinate very well with their online system. But 2⁄3 times, they said Matter-of-Factly, that I shouldn’t have ordered something that don’t serve anymore. more than 3 times. I click the sourdough option, my receipt shows sourdough. No sourdough bread in my bag :( I’m not going to make a scene in my office on the phone for the bread that supposed to come with my soup and sammich cause i ordered it. but it definitely makes me a little sad inside. Delivery times: they deliver. very quickly. even when you order online at 11:00am and request for your order to be delivered between 1:00pm and 1:30pm. your lunch will be there before 12. just cause. The soup is crack and the sandwiches make awesome dipping material for the crack-laced soup. but why are my delivery experiences so bad :-( step it up H&H I’ll keep coming back either way.

Soups apparently aren’t always«piping hot» since mine was mild warm at best. Make sure you confirm before you leave register.

This is a new location and I welcome it to the neighborhood. The soups are always piping hotttt! My fave is the African peanut soup topped with peanuts. Soooo delicious. I’ve also had the creamy tomato, crab bisque, and potato cheddar all very delicious. I’m glad they offer tasting but during busy hours you get stuck behind people that cant make up their minds. I love hale and hearty just wish that the prices were a tad cheaper. Soups and service are awesome!
