This is a true gem among the boutiques in SoHo; I’ve stumbled upon it twice when I’ve been walking by. They’re dog-friendly, which is always a plus. Today I found crocheted sea creatures in the window; as other reviewers have mentioned, there are vintage compasses, dice – even some with letters showing Scrabble® values on them – in addition to the knitwear, hats, and gift objects. What drew me in today was a Panama hat; I didn’t try it on, although I’ve been wanting a Panama for years. I ended up getting a pair of vintage Italian sunglasses that made me feel as though I was channeling Lina Wertmuller, and a pair of drilled dice – one red, one green. Meg sells these and other little chatchkes on strings hanging on the well, that you can put on your own cord or chain. Such a great store! Next time I’ll explore the knitwear.

I love Meg Cohen Design! Theis is the cutest little store in Soho! It is just lovely! And so are the people who work here. You can truly tell they love what they do and care about their customers. To put it simply they have the best scarfs, hats, and gloves in the City. I bought the most amazing pair of fingerless gloves today. I love them! Meg Cohen Design also has beautiful one of a kind vinatge jewlery. Such a great find in NYC!

This is a lovely little store that carries a bounty of high-quality cashmere goods for men, women, & children. There’s also a small, well-curated selection of quirky home goods & books for sale. A true gem of a shop — the employees are lovely & friendly as well.

I first learned about Meg Cohen’s signature double fringe cashmere scarves at a sample sale ten years ago… and the scarf still looks great. The quality of cashmere Meg uses is very high. And she only makes 100 pieces in each pattern. Meg is personally in the store on Sundays and she is lovely. Displayed around the cozy store are antiques that Meg finds interesting or collects herself, from antique banks to compasses and cuff links. My personal favorite are the vintage cuff links which snap together instead of being one solid link. Another one of my favorites are Meg Cohen’s ¾ length, ribbed cashmere fingerless gloves. They are chic, warm and perfect for an iPhone user like me!

I happened into a sample sale via word of mouth, just for a look around, and ended up walking out with three things: a scarf, a hat and a kelly hood(based on the old grace kelly look) for a friend. At the main store on Thompson St., the focus is on high-end cashmere. Scarves, hats, fingerless gloves, blankets, etc. She also designs very arty wild-looking spirally clocks and things, and offers housewares, accessories, pillows, small tables, and various things. At a recent visit to the shop, i noticed antique jewelry, scale models of english-looking banks, and some beautiful little handmade boxes made of wood and veneered with«horn,» imported from india. i got one of those too, among other things that proved irresistible. What sold me on the cashmere were the quality and the understated patterns. I hadn’t experienced that quality of fabric before, some are woven in England. This is premium stuff, unique, random, classy, and underpriced.
