I was at Hudon Eats meeting a friend and was in desperate need of some coffee. On the first floor of the building I stumbled upon this coffee bar and ordered a cappuccino. I was a bit surprised by the price(close to $ 4), but as soon as I sat down and tasted the coffee, I was blown away. I am a coffee lover and I cannot tell you the last time I had such a good cappuccino. The flavor was strong and yet not too bitter with the perfect amount of foam. Since trying the coffee, I now know it was started by Hugh Jackman and a percentage of proceeds go to a nonprofit(made me feel better about the high prices!). I am just sorry this coffee isn’t closer to my apartment or I would go as frequently as possible!

Small café that serves exceptional coffee. I go here every weekday morning for my caffeine fix because I prefer their coffee over the other nearby shops. Favorites include their flat white, iced coffee, and mocha. + Coffee and tea selections + Friendly baristas who make great latte art + Takes credit + Harbor/park view

Awesome! Greatest coffee in Tribeca? Possibly. The baristas are fantastic as well. Love the location on Duane Street. In warmer months, the seating outside is very cozy. In the colder months, try the pumpkin latte. I sometimes get decaf skim and it still tastes amazing.

This is where I get my coffee when I’m at work. Their coffee is really good, it has enough bitter taste & it blends in well with the cream. They have some doughnuts & croissants too. My favorite donuts here is the poppy seed & hibiscus doughnut. Hopefully they will gonna add more variety pastries so more choices.

Love Laughing Man. Come to the location in TriBeCa all the time, as well as the one here in the WFC. They make the most sublime flat whites in the world.

I don’t know what the hype is about. Their espresso is just ok, but throw in a disorganized barista(lots of coffee grounds on the counter makes me thing that they do not clean out their tools properly) and it’s downright bad. My cortado tasted burned and the barista slammed the drink on the counter so hard that some of spilled all over. He did not even offer to clean it up. Add to that: this place is hard to find, there is practically nowhere to sit, and it looks like a zoo because they don’t clean up. I’m not likely to come back.

Got a quick coffee here and wasn’t really satisfied, so decided to try out another place. The location of the coffee shop is great! Right off the ferry and you could grab a quick coffee!

Great coffee and an assortment of delicious pastries! Grabbed a cappuccino and a doughnut to eat by the water. Coffee was made with care and hit the spot. There were 5 – 6 donut flavors to choose from and some scones. Prices weren’t bad compared to similar spots I’ve been to in dtown Boston. There were some inside tables right inside the building Laughing Man is in and it was pretty quiet on a Sunday. I imagine this place is much busier during the work week.

Amazing, amazing coffee! I prefer lattes over plain coffee, and Laughing Man has perfectly smooth lattes with a hint of natural sweetness(also heard their flat whites are wonderful, but I was intimidated by the 2 shots of espresso rather than 1 shot). The cup sizes are extremely small though, while the prices are a bit steep for the sizes. But the quality is worth it. The location is also on the pier next to the ferries — a great place to order a cup of coffee and sit by the water.

Stumbled across this tiny café while visiting New York. When I say tiny, I mean tiny… It’s quick and easy and simply delicious. Enjoyed a flat white with almond milk. Originally they messed up my order and used dairy-based milk but had absolutely no problem fixing my order. The barista was very kind about it. Highly reccommend if in the area. On the plus side, each drink comes with a double shot of espresso!

I went to Laughing Man last week with a girlfriend. It was a really hot day but I knew I had to get a hot drink so I could see whether it was a good coffee place or not! What I really wanted was a large ice tea! However, the guys behind the counter were super cool, and friendly. So, 5⁄5 for the service. As for the coffee, it was pretty good. It’s probably not worth the trip down(30mins) for me to go back on a regular basis but definitely a great place to know if I am ever around that area — just so I have a good go to coffee place. So I would definitely return and recommend.

Delicious cortados and flat whites! The only suggestion I have is that they should put the prices next to each drink on the chalkboard wall.

Part curiosity, part convenience, Laughing Man was the culmination of an afternoon stroll through Battery Park. This tiny coffee shop is nestled in the New York Mercantile Exchange building; with minimal signage, this isn’t somewhere you just happen to stumble upon. You really need to know it’s there to take advantage of all it has to offer. Sprawled across a massive blackboard behind the barista, the menu definitely isn’t easy to decipher. Despite the erratic layout, I appreciated the fun, upbeat nature of the various cartoons and doodles; plus, it gave me something to look at while waiting for my drink. You can tell that each order is carefully crafted as it’s made in front of you, a process that can easily take twice as long here compared to Starbucks or another coffee chain. I received my large iced mocha with almond milk(large is the only size currently available for iced beverages), and was surprised at the price when it was rung up at the register: $ 5.47. Similarly, my friend’s large flat white was $ 4.86. Nevertheless, the initial sticker shock wore off later on when I learned that«100% of Laughing Man Worldwide revenue goes back to education, community development and new business development.» Taste-wise, my mocha was fantastic. It wasn’t overly chocolaty or sweet, and the espresso was at the forefront, as it should be. When in the area, be sure to grab a coffee at Laughing Man and enjoy the breathtaking view of the Hudson River waterfront!

The clean minimalist space seems slightly out of place at NYMEX, but the character and caffeine fit. On a hectic morning, the last thing I want is a generic cup of coffee — a velvety and delicately foamed flat white from Laughing Man is a much better way to start the day. Throw in a doughnut, and it’s even better.

Love their teas and coffee. Backed by hugh Jackman, who doesn’t like this place. It has character and strong caffeine which is a must for all who work in world financial centers at 2pm Plus! Their donuts are HUGE and amazing. What more can you ask for? I work near here and would definitely come back on a frequent basis for coffee breaks. I like. only caveat is that it is a bit hard to find. Tucked away in a maze like building. Worth a find tho!

Whipped up an excellent, rather large cortado for me. Great espresso. My friend ordered a flat white — absolutely delicious, I can understand the notoriety that surrounds not only the flat white, but the place overall! Service was great, maybe a bit stand-off ish for us non-New Yorkers, but it was good for what is was. This place is truly a gem. Would def stop in here for a coffee, keep walking and grab a bagel, and then park myself in a park and feast on all the yumminess!

I stumbled upon this place one day while walking around the area. It’s right infront of the ferry docks and can easily be passed by if you were in a rushing and not taking your time looking around. I had the iced white bai mu dan tea and that was really refreshing. I also tried the iced flat white and it was so smooth and delicious. This place is one of the better coffee places that I’ve been to. There is normally plenty of seating since the location is pretty hidden, which I don’t mind. I enjoy less crowded places. I will definitely return to have my fix for the iced flat white.

It was a gorgeous and warm Mother’s Day where everyone seemed to be out and about. We popped in to grab a beverage and find a place for my young son to go to the bathroom… Warning– there are no bathrooms here. The coffee, however, was truly excellent. My iced latte was one of the better ones I’ve ever had.

Best coffee spot in town! Me and my coworkers come to this location daily. Laughing man latte and flat white is truly not matched by any other. Their iced latte is a must try, you will be disappointed by any others you try after, so proceed with caution. The staff is awesome and friendly here and always let us try some samples of new snacks they sell. Last but not least the donuts are amazing! mix bw a zepelli and a donut and the flavors are always cool like hibiscus tea and pumpkin
