If you need a solid sports bar to drink and watch games in Hell’s Kitchen, Lansdowne Road should make the short list. The smallish Irish bar sticks out as different as the sole one story building on Tenth Ave and probably the smallest building in the neighborhood. The interior is very typical Irish bar/sports bar with all wooden décor and lots of TVs. There in ample space inside considering how small it looks from the exterior. The beer offerings are solid; nothing that stands out as exceptional, but just enough to keep a beer snob happy. They also have a full bar with a few specialty cocktails available as well. They have happy hour that runs from 4−7pm daily. In addition they have a «daily double» where they have one draft and one bottle for $ 5 all day. The offerings change daily so check the website if you are curious. The food is standard bar food. Everything is fried and greasy, but they also have salads for the healthy bar goers. The standouts of the food were the sweet potato fries, potato skins and onion rings. All fried perfectly and definitely hit the spot. The one disappointment was the wings. The way the other Unilocal reviews hyped them, I was looking forward to a transformative wing experience. The wings were decidedly mediocre by my standards. They were fried into submission, dry and chewy. The flavors were ok. We got the hot wings and garlic Parmesan. The hot wings were spicy and the garlic parmesan wings were savory, but the meat was rubbery and dry from over cooking. All in all, a solid place to catch a game and beer.

Unpretentious pub with killer whiskey list, harder to find in NYC than one might think … Good bar food as well … Some whiskeys seem to be getting phased out, along with popular happy hour specials. Please keep small batch bourbons and unique Irish whiskeys accessible to all!

A nice, casual place to hang out and catch up with friends or catch a game. I came here to meet up with friends and had a great time. The servers are on top of things and very friendly. Our drinks were perpetually filled and the good times kept rolling. At times, the volume of their music crept higher making it harder to hear each other. However, there’s something endearing about screaming at each other. A pro-tip if you’re ever hanging out with me: if I can’t hear you the first two tries, I’ll agree to whatever you say next because I gave up. The server was accommodating when we brought the volume to her attention. A fun, local, friendly experience.

WINGSWINGSWINGS! Get the WINGS! Seriously, one of the best wings in the midtown west area. I usually order plain wings(extra crispy!) with sauce on side. Draft beer should come with the wings, for sure. Would be great to add fries. Everything here has good quantity with decent quality/price. OMG, can’t believe I haven’t written a review for Lansdowne yet even though I visited multiple times for the last 3 years! Very spacious — great spot to enjoy watching sports. Don’t miss happy hours.

Pros — A pretty big space that could accommodate plenty of people. Their breakfast burrito is served all day and it is delightfully amazing. They put tater tots IN the burrito. Luckily I had just ran 4 miles so I had absolutely no regrets. Cons — They charge for seltzer water. Designated drivers beware!

I stopped in here to have a quick drink with coworkers last night, left to get dinner, and then immediately came back with the entire office. The place was very accommodating to our needs and it was definitely a great spot to be in, for the sake of getting pretty cheap drinks. I would definitely suggest coming here, if you don’t want to break the bank to get your drink on!

landsdowne has become a go to for NFL sundays. they have a ton of TV’s with a DJ playing tunes in between commercial breaks. there’s lots of seating, though it definitely fills up(especially when the giants/jets are playing) and they also have great food and service. this bar has really awesome and decently priced wings. they also do a wing night here on monday evenings. everyday they offer a «daily double» which is a $ 5 draft and bottle beer option. The choices on the daily double are always quality, i.e. last time i was here it was brooklyn lager for the draft and sierra nevada seasonal for the bottle… really can’t go wrong. the other fun part about watching football here on sunday is they play a spin the wheel kind of game. if the play happens that the wheel landed on, the whole bar gets FIREBALLSHOTS! too fun.

Landsdown Road… Perfect place to grab a beer after work, and that’s just what we did. Out of town for a couple of days and Unilocal was there to steer us in the right direction! The bar was full but there were plenty of high tops and tables to sit at. The vibe was more of the stand around the bar crowd when we showed up but definitely filled in by the time we left around 7:00 on Wednesday night. Ok now we lucked out because I am a real big fan of wings and these guys had some damn good ones(I don’t have any pictures because they were gone before I thought of it). We ordered them hot and extra crispy which I believe is the way they are meant to be had! They came out as good as any bar wing I can remember and we put them back with ease. I usually bookmark places I want to try on Unilocal, but I actually bookmarked Landsdown Road after we left so that I remember to go back. Solid well deserved four star place, thanks for the solid tips Unilocalers!

Came here after comic con. Liked the food, happy hour was really cheap. I think it was around $ 4 drinks, can’t beat that. Also the service was good, we were also watching the game. I would definitely return.

Solid 4* Hells Kitchen establishment. Not as good as Scallywag’s but on a par with Dalton’s to make up the top 3 Irish(?) bars in the area. The beer is comparatively cheap and Monday nights are a no brainer with $ 0.50 cent wings. The BBQ wing sauce is great and they have the rare ability to get the wings nice and crispy on the outside and sweet and juicy on the inside. Ice block on the bar is a nice touch but not practical. Staff are nice enough and plenty of TV’s to ensure you’re game is on.

Decent Midtown Sports Bar Was here with a few friends to watch an NBA game. They have plenty of TVs, a lot of seats, full bar, and decent menu. We shared a few of the appetizers like nachos with toppings, hot wings, and Buffalo balls. I also got a chicken guacamole sandwich with sweet potato fries for myself. All of the food was decent for bar food and large portions. They had a nice beer selection so had a little Corona Light draft action. Service was attentive.

I happened to be in New York on Super Bowl Sunday and had no plans for Sunday evening, so wanted to look for a festive place to watch the game, and decided to try Landsdowne Road based on the Unilocal reviews. They get five stars for the videos and quality of audio. I got there an hour and a half before the game started and got a really good seat at the rear bar right in front of a large high definition screen. The beer selection was just kind of average. I got a Sierra Nevada pale ale on tap. I’ve had better Sierra Nevada Pale Ales from a bottle. I had their soft pretzels as an appetizer and the buffalo chicken sandwich. The pretzels were large, warm and salty, and I liked the real hot horseradish mustard it came with. The chicken sandwich with fries was average quality. I ordered medium in terms of spiciness and it wasn’t really spicy at all, so one would have to order hot if they want to taste the buffalo sauce. Service at the rear bar was excellent. Despite the large crowd, the bartender kept good tabs on the patrons, and I was never lacking anything. In summary, the food and beer is average sports bar fare, but the ambience and video quality puts this bar ahead of others. It was very crowded and I’m glad I got there an hour and a half early. The patrons were enthusiastic about the game that gave it a very festive feel.

This is a great place to watch a game. They have tons of TVs and if one of them isn’t showing the game you came to watch, just ask em and they’ll change it for you. The cocktails are good but not strong at all. I had 2 and didn’t even have a buzz. Shared the nachos with my boyfriend and they were really good and filling. It wasn’t at all crowded on a Saturday afternoon so that was nice. The waitress was attentive and friendly. The last time I had come here(last year), it was a bit more rowdy. The crowd was very«bro». I came on a Friday night with my friend and we were sitting near the bar watching a game. Several times, people bumped into us or our table and almost spilled drinks on us. My friend even got hit by a coaster flying through the air. It wasn’t the best atmosphere but it was fine the other day. Not sure if that was just how it was that night or if it’s usually like that on weekend nights.

Great Service, awesome bartenders who make great drinks. My partner has been here several times and loved it now I see why. Had a great time, music very diverse and very diverse crowd. We ordered the chicken tacos & a medium hamburger that were delicious. The burger came out medium well but overall still a great experience. I love the ice on the bar that keeps the drinks cool that’s new for me. I would definitely come back again. Very affordable for a night date out in the city. Go Packers Go! Randomly saw this above me in the bar which I love being a Packers fan in playoff contention for 2015.

I mainly come here since they are in my neighborhood and the wings are scrumptious. Everything else you need to know: –They close late every night at 4am, wings served until 3am. –Happy hour 5−7pm on weekdays, half priced drinks –They have 50 cent wings on Mondays, minimum order of 10. –The medium wings are pretty hot. Order the hot wings if you want to have fire breath. –They play a good selection of music. –They have tator tots, major plus for fatties like me. –They have a lot of tv’s with every major game on. –They have a dart board in the back.

we came here to grab some drinks, food, and to catch the opening night NBA game. There are plenty of TVs here, and they had on the world series and the NBA games so that was awesome! We got the chicken balls, buffalo nachos, and BBQ wings. We got spicy on the wings and the balls, and please be mindful of the spice because they pack it in but i loved it! My favorite items were the chicken balls and nachos. Nice portion and good bar food. Service was on point too!

Stopped by here to get a quick bite on a Friday night during happy hour(so prices for the beer were pretty good! It was half off which came out to be $ 3.50 per beer). This is pretty much just your average sports bar. Nothing bad about it but nothing amazing either. This is a place I would go to if I was watching a game because there are lots of TVs. We ordered the Buffalo Nachos and the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. The nachos were okay. The amount of diced tomatoes and ranch dressing in the nachos was overkill and could of used more chicken. I also was not a fan of the guacamole on the side, it didn’t taste fresh. However, the portion size was huge and can even be a meal substitution or be split between 3 or more people. The wrap was really leaky, soggy and messy. I don’t know about you but I like my wraps dry. The fries were the best part about this entrée. The service is pretty quick and the staff is friendly. Great place to watch any game since they have multiple games on at a time and it’s very spacious. Bathrooms are relatively clean — none of that gross urine smell which is always a plus. Oh and they play really good music here too!

Pros: * Spacious and clean interior with sound levels low enough so you can carry a comfortable conversation * Games such as dartboards in the back * Enjoyed the wings(BBQ and Garlic Parmesan) and the Pulled Pork Nachos. Wish they had honey BBQ wings! * Fast and friendly service Tips * The Pulled Pork Nachos is HUGE– can share between 3 – 4 people!

This place does it right. It’s a neighborhood sports bar with large, high-def TV’s everywhere. They play all types of music, from country to pop to pop-rock. In visiting New York, I was told to visit this section of Hell’s Kitchen, which is certainly off of the beaten path of Broadway. This place stood out. I arrived on a Friday night, and a rain storm had just hit NYC, which provided me more reason to have a bite to eat and some beers, and stick around for a while. The beauty of NYC is that you can walk everywhere, too, and this is the type of place to navigate to in order to see NYC in its true glory. Really good atmosphere. Friendly place. Looking forward to returning when I’m back in the city.
