The New York Rangers and my Irish heritage are the two things I am most proud of, so I can’t help but view Jack Doyle’s as the pub version of my personality. I been a member of the Blueshirt faithful all my life, and been a supporter of Jackie D’s since they opened in 2013. Over the past 3 years, I had pretty much everything on all of their menus(brunch, lunch, dinner and Bar– I’m committed) and have always been impressed. Their kitchen team is absolutely the best, whether it’s authentic Irish, or buffalo wings, their cook always knows how to deliver something tasty. Along with their talented kitchen staff, their bartenders and servers deliver world-class customer service. The bartenders and waitresses are attentive to every customer, and I never had to wait long for my glass to be refilled. What’s great about Jack Doyle’s is their commitment to hospitality, whether it is trivia nights, or the bar giving free raffle tickets per drink for upcoming Ranger games(I won once !) — they always know how to make you feel welcomed.

I came here a few times this past fall to watch Vikings games. They’re one of the only bars in the city that’ll show them, so automatic props to them for that. But, other than that draw, I can’t imagine stopping by here. There just doesn’t seem to be a ton of character about this bar. I think they really get by on location… being a sports bar right next to MSG, I can’t imagine it’s too hard to get people to come by. But, it doesn’t seem like the kind of place that inspires many regulars. When I was here, I pretty much only ordered off the special little menu they put out for Vikings games, which includes Grain Belt beers(awesome job repping Minnesota guys!) and some $ 5 appetizers. The $ 5 apps are awesome for a quick bite, but be aware that they’re SMALL. The chicken fingers are literally four, small chicken fingers, and the mozzarella sticks also come as a plate of 4. I mean, you can’t complain, because they’re $ 5, but just be aware of it. The plus side is that they also all come with some fries, so that’s cool. All in all, not a bad spot to watch a game, but nothing special either. Lots of screens though, and they turn the volume up for big games!

Lunch experience A-1! $ 10 gets you a sandwich and soup from several options. I will say that the portobello mushroom sandwich and the chicken tortilla soup hit the spot. Very cool traditional pub atmosphere — classic rock tunes quiet enough to have a chat.

Great Irish pub! Food is great and reasonable(for midtown). Staff are always friendly and accommodating. Wish I could visit more often but going tonight before Billy Joel.

I’m from Minnesota but now live in London. I dragged my British family here to watch a Vikings game one Sunday night. The bar itself is really nice, with a lot of space, good TVs, and an entire section devoted to the Minnesota Vikings. My family got some food before I arrived, and said it was the best burger they’ve had in a long time. I only had beer, but was pleased with the price of the Canadian Molsons. Thanks for helping alleviate some home sickness! Skol!

We came here after work on a Saturday evening, which by the way is very conveniently located 3 blocks from my job. There was a Rangers game going on that night and they had big screens and a bunch of fans partaking in the merriment. We ordered a few appetizers including the crab cakes and chicken quesadillas, both were ample in portion and tasty. They looked like they had a nice cocktail selection but it was a Tito’s kind of night. The beers on tap also looked plentiful. We will save it for the next time. I would like to go back and have a meal there next time. I would think it’s a great place for large groups as well because it’s really spacious, you won’t get that cramped feeling at the bar. We mostly stayed up front near the bar but it looked pretty hopping towards the back. The service was great, our waitress was sweet. I would definitely come back here after work with some friends and have dinner. You can’t beat the location, it’s a nice go to mid-way place to meet since it’s midtown and you have every train right there including the Jersey trains.

This was such a pleasant experience because the bar is super clean and have drink specials. It was a Saturday night and was able to have drinks while wait for my train and not pay a crazy price tag. The bathrooms were extremely clean. Best of all our bartender was knowledgeable and friendly. I did not try food but next time I will.

This is probably one of my favorite bars ever! They have $ 4 pints of Molson Canadian beer which is an amazing beer! Also the bartenders are extremely welcoming and attentive. Every time I’ve gone I was helped by the bartender, I believe his name is John, and he was just the coolest and nicest bartender. And they have a wide variety of music playing from hip hop to Spanish to classic rock. This place is amazing!

We came in for a pre-concert dinner, although we hadn’t told our waitress this. The place was warm and welcoming, and we were seated right away, despite the happy hour crowd. I ordered the Doyler, which was simply delicious and original… I never would have made a sandwich with those ingredients. The service was lightening fast which was appreciated. I really enjoyed it here and hope to get back for a more leisurely visit.

My fiancé and I were recently on a trip to NY, staying in a midtown hotel near Herald Square, feeling a bit overwhelmed by the pace and needed somewhere for a bite to eat. We stumbled upon Jack Doyles as we wandered down a quieter side street on a Sunday afternoon when we were at a loss of what to do with ourselves. We sat at the bar, where the bartender, I think her name was Shauna(the Irish girl with black hair) was so friendly and welcoming to us. She suggested us a few things to try from the menu(we tried the meatloaf and the steak, which were great) and gave us some advice on some great sites to visit for our trip. Had a great time there, and called in a few more times during our stay and found that all the other staff were great too, great menu, and loads of sports on the big screens. The place had a really warm and welcoming atmosphere every time we called in, which really made it a great place to go. Couldn’t recommend it more!

Jack Doyle’s is my favorite place to watch the Vikings games every Sunday. They specifically imported Grain Belt beer just for the Vikings fans. Not to mention the only place to get Minnesota beer here in Manhattan. There is great food and drink specials during the game and the staff is amazingly friendly.

Love this bar. Spent a lot of time during the New York Rangers playoffs here. Big, spacious bar — great beer selection. Food wasn’t it’s strong suit, but typical bar fare you’d expect from a midtown Irish pub. They run some good specials, making it a good place to hang out. Bartenders are attentative, and friendly. One of the few places in New York City where you’ll get a buyback. Will definitely be back for hockey season.

The chicken special is good. But the midtown salad is just ok, very small amount of greens and dry chicken.

Did not like the lack of toilet paper in one of the ladies room stalls but the hand dryer right near the sink was interesting. Had the chicken here with garlic mashed potatoes, asparagus & breaded chicken with flavored mayo. HUGE portion, at least for my skinny behind and the food was pretty good. Nice, spacious bar & they do have a phone charging station right next to the bar if you go to the side nearest to the door. Definitely a good place to see hockey if that is your sport of choice. They had a raffle for that here.

Great Irish pub food. Creative special menus. Awesome flavor. They can do traditional Irish pub food and specials are creative. Very good casual place.

Decent Irish pub on an otherwise barren street near Penn Station. Came here to watch a hoops game and they had plenty of TV’s though, not with the sound on since they have multiple games playing on different TV’s. I can’t remember if one of the games had sound or if there was just music playing but I think it was music. Maybe they’d play sound for big games and not just mid-season matchups. Pretty good selection of beers on tap but the wings weren’t anything to write home about. They were a little dry and could have used more sauce to moisten them up. My bartender that night was Irish which is always a welcome sign in an Irish pub. Other than that, nothing to write home about here. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here but if you need a sports bar where you can comfortably watch a game in this neighborhood, it’s a perfectly fine option.

My colleagues and I were here last night for dinner and this place was jam-packed(It was not even 6PM). We thought we wouldn’t be able to find seats. But luckily all the congestion was by the bar. There was some sort of game going on which explains why. This place is spacious! There’s seats on the first and second floor. We were seated across from the bar(1st floor) and for starters, we ordered 2 appetizers and some drinks. I got the classic mojito and my colleagues ordered Blue Moons. My mojito was way too sour and bitter. Definitely one of the worst ones that I ever had. In my opinion, the bartender went overdose on the limes. So I asked our waitress if I can exchange my drink. My waitress looked upset and frustrated that I even asked her about it. Seriously, I’m not going to lie just to give them a hard time. Although she seemed reluctant to exchange my drink, in the end she did anyways because we decided to order beef sliders on top of our previous order. Other than that, I have to give them an A+ on their quick service. Our food came in within minutes. On to our food: Sweet potatoes fries — really good! Fried calamari– average. Don’t a huge fan of their marinara sauce(kind of heavy and not saucy enough) Beef sliders– 3 mini burgers without cheese. Pretty tasty as well. Overall, this place is vibrant and prices here are reasonable. Definitely a spot to hang out after work.

Nicely appointed bar. Plenty of seating at the bar plus a number of hightops. Battender was very personable. I was in for lunch. Fish and chips were quite good and a big portion. I went with the Green Flash IPA — very good. Came to about $ 25 before tax and tip. I will go back for more of the menu. The place opens at 8:00AM for breakfast — mostly eggs and omlettes. I may stop by for the full Irish Breakfast next time. A number of mid-sized flat screens turned to sports channels. The British Premier League was on several screens when I arrived. Bartender was nice enough to switch channels to American football on some screens upon request. Only problem was that the time spent being the AV guy made it a bit slow getting a refill. They have a cell phone charging station at the front end of the bsr — with various adapters which was nice. There was sign for $ 4.00 drafts but I did not catch the details as to when and which brands. Draft beer selection is better than most. Several craft beers plus some American and British standards.
