We were intending to brunch at Ivy’s yesterday and it appears to be closed down! Everything inside looks trashed to be gutted and it was partially boarded up. The four stars is for my previous experiences there, having dined there at least half a dozen tines. It was a good neighborhood spot with courteous staff and will definitely be missed. My son loved their pancakes! They’re veggie burger was also a standout.

This is more of a question. This restaurant came highly recommended, and I’m looking forward to eating there. I made reservations over Open Table for an upcoming date. My question for this business is — why don’t you answer your phone? You advertise a phone number but I have been trying for days to call to confirm the reservation and no one answers.

Literally stumbled upon this place with a couple of my girlfriends one night as we were looking for a place to hang out after work. The people were nice and helpful(my friend couldn’t get the door to open so one of the gentlemen inside opened it for her) and is not just the employees. At first glance it seemed like a place where we would end up getting asked to either quiet down or leave(we tend to get loud after a while), but it ended up being a place where we felt comfortable enough to really enjoy ourselves. The atmosphere is quiet and intimate, but non-stifling or crowded. I had a cranberry vodka to start the night off; kudos to the bartender that tended that night. It was smooth enough that i didn’t feel it… much. Red sangria for the second round; a bit stronger but just as addicting. The sweet potato fries, fried calamari, and fried mozzarella sticks are a must order from here. I wasn’t too excited about the baked garlic bread with pesto sauce though because it came out kind of hard and burned. Pricing wasn’t too bad either. Go check it out, form your own opinions. :) The place worked for us, but it may not be for everyone.

Quite possibly the worst meal I have ever had. We live right down the block and have been waiting to try it. We get in and there are clearly 4WASTED men at the bar being incredibly loud and obnoxious and the waitress and bartender are partaking in their antics. Food: we got the Caprese and garlic bread to start. I’m almost positive they just buy the cheese from food emporium and the garlic bread was stale and the pesto sauce was way too buttery. We also ordered a bottle of wine which no one came to fill our glass, not even once. That goes for the sparkling water we ordered as well. For dinner I had the Lemon chicken which was again horrible. It was incredibly small and flat and way overcooked. My boyfriend had the rigatoni and the sauce was likely from a can. We sat for 20 minute after our meal with the plates in front of us and no one asking if they should take them or if we needed anything else. I Could see this happening if it were crazy busy but there were only two other tables there at the time. The waitress could care less about anything but talking to the bartender. I was surprised that the bill was around 120 for basically nothing, horrible food, worse service and an awful atmosphere. I would not recommend.

We had brunch here. The food was definitely good, and the prices reasonable. The décor is a bit below par, though, which made for a-ok experience overall.

I love this place. Great food, excellent service. Bottom line everything is good, you can eat super clean and healthy here or go completely off the rails. Case in point, the chicken parm is knockout, but so is the arugula salad with grilled chicken.

Love this place! The salads are fantastic! My favorite is the warm goat cheese salad. Friendly atmosphere and great staff :) On Saturday nights they host karaōke! Too much fun.

This is a nice place to just sit and talk. The friendly staff don’t make you feel like you need to rush your conversation, and the food was good. The best part was just the overall laid back vibe. Also, I highly recommend the mac and cheese croquettes for starters, which were amazing.

Stopped in with the family to have an early dinner. While the staff was friendly, it was a rare occasion where every dish was poor or average at best. The kid’s burger was so dry, it was like a hockey puck on a roll. We told the waitress, but she said that all kids’ burgers are prepared well-done unless you tell them otherwise. She offered to replace it, but we declined. Shouldn’t have charged us for it, IMHO. Quesadilla was salty. Turkey burger had a smooth, processed consistency. Unfortunately, it was the worst meal that I’ve had in Manhattan.

I stopped by Ivy’s last night because I knew they were having Karaōke. I felt I was treated really well by the staff– and the crowd was inclusive friendly, and really had a great time. Due to the late hour, I wasn’t eating, but I had a cup of herbal tea– and was served even that atypical request on a Saturday night with care and warmth. The company that hosted at Ivy’s, Major Mayhem Karaōke– and the host Justin, who was working that night make everyone who sings feel, that their song choice and performance are a little slice of heaven-a great experience to have anytime. I look forward to returning there soon– even on a non– music night, for an equally fulfilling experience. Ivy’s is a great place.

Lobster ravioli is the best I’ve ever had. Bartender made my French Martini(with Vanilla Stoli) perfect. The ideal dinner after a long day. Not sure what’s up with the patrons leaving the door open and not closing it behind themselves. Seriously? It’s 30 degrees outside, CLOSETHEDOORLIKEANADULT!

I had lunch here with a friend, the food was decent but not great. There are not that many choices on the menu, you can either have sandwiches/burgers or pasta, plus another 4 – 5 entrees choices. The interior is rather dark and gloomy. The staff were very friendly, though the food took a long time. Unlike all the Italian restaurants nearby, bread is an appetizer you have to order. I can’t say it was a bad experience, but there’s nothing that would convince me to go back.

I was invited by a friend & stopped by this past wknd. The place is not too big small but a decent size. Nothing crazy or special on the décor, simple but nice. We were seated right away as the place was not crowded. Once seated we started our meal with some Stella beer, not a bad choice as always. Appetizers we shared the Baked Garlic bread w a pesto dipping sauce … Yummy can’t beat warm bread the pesto dipping sauce was a nice touch. For my main dish I tried the Tri Color pasta w veggies in Garlic & Oil, I added grilled chicken good pasta, light tasting perfect for a summer night since it was not very heavy. My friend tried the Mac & Cheese pasta dish w added broccoli & grilled chicken, this comes with a small side salad. Salad was good, nice dressing on it & the Mac & cheese itself was not bad the broccoli & chicken was a nice addition but it makes the dish even heavier. Good service, prices are moderate we enjoyed our meal.

An exceptionally popular Tribeca bistro with a very crowded and noisy bar, horrendously loud background music precluding any dinner conversation(my husband and I were there for dinner and had made reservations). The decibel level could have been dampened somewhat by changes in the use of material such as acoustic tile in the ceiling and/or curtains, but the glass windows, glass mirrors at the bar, and wine glasses only serve to amplify the sound. As regards dinner, I had Chicken Picatta. It was delicious, but aside from the capers, it bore little resemblance to what one might ordinarily expect when one orders this dish which is usually in a sauce of lemon, white wine, and capers. This was in a tomato based sauce, accompanied by red peppers and tasted much more like chicken cacciatore. My husband had Rigatoni with sausage, tomato, and ricotta, which was excellent, although a bit on the meaty side. We also shared a very good appetizer of cheese quesadilla. Service was overly attentive. It is not enjoyable to have conversation constantly interrupted and since there were not lines out the door, there was no need to rush us along. For dessert, we shared ice cream which was fine. I think this is a locale worth returning to, as long as we remember to come here for the food(not conversation, and not with a headache) and to bring friends who would also be interested only in the food and in conversing elsewhere afterwards possibly for dessert.

Made reservations here for a quick lunch with two close girlfriends today. I’d come here before for drinks after work(good happy hour specials 4−7pm btw!) but never eaten the food. At 1pm there weren’t too many people and by 1:45 the place was practically empty. Our table ordered a plate of fried calamari to share and my entrée I got the Veggie Burger and my friends the Chicken Parm Sandwich and the notable Turkey Burger. The service was prompt and the food came at very reasonable times. The fried calamari was great and a very large portion. They tasted very freshly fried and there were even little octopus like pieces which makes it much more legitimate seafood, I think :) My veggie burger was delicious! The burgers dont’ come with much — tomato, onion, & lettuce on the side but if you wanted even cheese you had to pay for add-ons. Needless to say the turkey burger stole the lunch. Topped with goat cheese and sauteed mushrooms — it was so delish. Pretty good lunch, would probably come here again. Prices were a bit steep for lunch(I don’t think they had a separate dinner menu) but what else can you expect in tribeca?

The place is a cute little hole in the wall with OVERPRICED food…$ 70 breakfast for 3 people who left starving is not good. My husband is still pissed… The Pros: we were seated right away

Delicious, low-key spot for lunch. Went with group of friends — pretty fast & attentive service(waited around 15 – 20 minutes for our meal). Great appetizer selections — must try sesame chicken… although I do not recommend splitting the appetizers with others(good for a pair of 2 max) Prices are typical for Tribeca — but décor is very outdated. Great for catching up with friends/family — not for an intimate setting

Had brunch here with a Bloomspot certificate on Sunday. Very crowded and family friendly(*loud and lots of strollers*) so not an intimate brunch spot. Best part of my brunch was definitely the hot cider that they served. Very good. Had the huevos rancheros and was a bit deflated since it was $ 15 and didn’t blow my hair back. I ordered it for the chorizo, not realizing that it was more a suggession of chorizo(pea sized bits dusted on the plate) than actual links of that beautiful sausage. If you cut it THAT small, it burns quickly and loses most of the flavor and fat so it was«meh». Would return with another gift certificate, but I’ve had much better and more affordable brunch elsewhere.

A surprisingly good dinner from Seamless Web. I was in the mood for some solid comfort food: something filling, something that was not a sandwich. Scanning the menu, the meatloaf dinner caught my eye. Invariably a disastrous selection, having had enough bad experiences ordering meatloaf in a restaurant, but I still decided to give it a try — and I am glad I did! For $ 16.95, you are treated to a generous helping of meatloaf, roasted vegetables, and plenty of mashed potatoes. The meatloaf was really quite good. It was very flavorful and consistent with something someone’s grandmother might make, elevating the dish above typical diner fare. Great taste and delicious. The vegetables included zucchini, carrots, and broccoli all of which were fresh and not previously frozen. The potatoes were hearty, yet not heavy, pairing well with the meatloaf. My expectations were definitely exceeded. Ivy’s Bistro will be my standby delivery place for comfort food. One note of warning though, my girlfriend ordered one of the personal pizzas and was not so taken with this selection; so not all of the items on the menu are equally great. Nonetheless, still recommend.

When Bubby’s was full one Saturday morning with a line longer than the eye could see, I found Ivy’s. AWESOME. Food — just as good as Bubby’s but cheaper. A LOT cheaper! Service — EXCELLENT. Better than Bubby’s. Vibe — fun, friendly, relaxed, cool. I love this place. My friend’s suggested it to me and I’m glad they did. The last time I had visitors I took them here straight away instead of Bubby’s which is just around the corner and often where people head to first. Be nice, give Ivy’s a go and I’m sure it won’t disappoint.
