Sketchy façade, sketchy entrance, sketchy elevator, sketchy building, and sketchy stairs to get into this place. Not sure that I would like to come back to this place again for Karaōke… Anyways, the place is ok for Karaōke. They charge you the rate based on the room size and the time that you spend there. We had a room size worth of $ 60 and stayed for two hours. This equals to $ 120. Then you get to choose drinks and food worth up to $ 120. The songs seem to be up-to-date. However, the navigation system seem to be a bit hard to go through at the beginning. Once you get used to it then it should be fine. The navigation system was a touchscreen system. One thing that irritated me was the room reeked of ashtray even though my party didn’t smoke. Once our time was over they quickly delivered the check without asking us if we would like to renew our times even though the outside seemed very quiet and not many people waiting for rooms. Perhaps next time they should ask us if we would like to stay longer…

You better be Chinese to enjoy this place. Bunch of gweilo went in here and it wasn’t until someone who spoke mandarin walked in to our room that they told us there was a large drink credit complimentary with the price of the room. Racist owners, tricking people who don’t speak mandarin into spending more money, try another place.

This place is okay. It is spacious, relatively clean, has fair pricing, and does offer a good selection of Asian and American songs. And importantly it is a touchscreen — nobody has patience and is old enough to run a song book and remote control system that remains prevalent in most Manhattan karaōke places. It is decent for Manhattan but is just so much worse than the Flushing places. It’s always worth a trip to just hop on 7…

They automatically charge a 20% tip on all drink orders without even telling you. Also, they will not serve you tap water citing sanitary reasons(you have to buy bottled water). Bottom line, they’ll rip you off on drinks. If you have no other option, just do karaōke, no drinks/foot and leave. Otherwise, go to Duet.

Be warned the outside of the building, the building itself, and the tiny elevator are all incredibly sketchy. But if you can get past all of that, Inhabit is a decent karaōke lounge. The song selection is vast and up-to-date. The touch screen system is also very easy to use(I hate karaōke places that still lists their songs on a book). Our room for 10 was a comfortable size; it was very narrow but long, so everyone fit without a problem. My biggest complaint is that the sound system was not great. My ears were very much hurting by the end of the night.

The cleanest and most tech savvy karaōke room I’ve been to. My friends and I were planning to go to another place nearby, but we checked this one out on a whim and I am very happy we ended up here! Everything is controlled by touch screen monitors — background music, microphone volume, language settings etc. Initially everything on the screen is in Chinese but it is fairly easy to click around and find the right icons. There is also a second iPad sized screen near the seating area to easily skip to the next song/adjust the volume. Most importantly, nearly all songs had the appropriate music video.

Saturday night with a Orientation group. I didn’t know chinatown was in manhattan, but downtown is not within my usual places either. The building was old and smelly. If it weren’t the board on the roof I would totally miss this place. The entrance has another plate with a different name on it so it was confusing. After you get to the 3rd floor, which is where the karaōke locates, it gets clean. We were in room one and it was big enough for 15 people. The song data base needs update. I couldn’t find songs like«all about that bass» and other popular song last year. There are two other control panels on the wall. You should be familiar with this if you are chinese. It was fun watching some american freaked out with the system. You can order food and drinks. I didn’t try the 21+ check this time. I didn’t order anything but others did, and theirs looked tasty. The menu has Chinese and english on it. We were there for 2 hours and it was $ 150. I can’t say its cheap but it was Saturday night so the price might be the highest because of the timing.

This place use to be really fun. They changed owners and the it’s horrible here. The staff keep insisting you to get a bigger room… = $$$$$ Music is great but, a lot of feedback with the mic. Staff are not friendly… Maybe toward non-Asian they will be.

Unpleasant and unfriendly, when it came to telling us that there were no private rooms for us and that was the only way to be at that space.

This place is the biggest piece of shit karaōke joint I’ve ever been to. The waitstaff was rude and unaccommodating despite the fact that we reserved a huge room for 25 and spent over an hour resolving a simple issue of head count. They were also late cleaning and clearing the room for us. Then we ordered alcohol and it was not served for over an hour. Never ever coming back. Be sure to warn all your friends.

Came here with a group of 10 on a Saturday and they said they were booked out with medium sized rooms($ 60/hour) and only had $ 80/hour rooms left(this size is HUGE and accommodates up to 25 people). So we took the $ 80/hour rooms, but it was a slight waste, as our group size wasn’t too large. With your amount of charge, you’re allowed to order food/drinks up until that amount.(So for example, our room was $ 80×2 = $ 160, so you can order food/drinks up until the $ 160 value.) It does come at an overpriced charge, but it is a nice amenity to have. Note that you are not allowed to bring outside food/beverages here and they will charge you if you break the rules. Service was alright — they were fast with food/drinks, but kicked us out immediately when our time was up.

Very poor selection of songs especially if you’re American. Bad service! Low grade alcohol! Overall, bad experience.

My go-to Chinatown karaōke spot. It’s got the same songs as any Ktown karaōke joint and much cheaper to boot. They’ll credit the hourly roommate for any drinks and food you order… so in reality you can almost think of it as free karaōke. Yep.

Rooms were clean and spacious, system uses actual MV and is touchscreen. There is a sign that says no smoking in the room but the place reeks of ashtray. However the price is on the steeper side. $ 40 for a small room or $ 80 for a large room. You get $ 40 credit worth of food to spend so that’s nice. The sound system is alright. Staff was friendly except for that even a minute past our time and we were rushed out of the room. There is a 18% tip automatically included in your bill.

Came here to celebrate a birthday. The room was fairly spacious. Service was decent. There were a lot of songs to choose from. One thing I found funny was that they did not have Selena Gomez in their system. It would be great if they added her songs.

I usually go to Inhabit for company outing. Good selection of English and Chinese songs. Easy to use Karaōke machine, I think they completed imported the system from china. The cost of food is included in the cost of the room. Drinks are okay, fried chicken wings are fabulous. One note: you can bring cake, but not outside drinks to the Karaōke.

Inhabt is a great place for private group karaōke. They have multiple rooms and overall I feel like it’s pretty cheap. There is a fee per hour, but buying drinks covers that fee so in reality, it’s not bad at all. The song selection can be a bit hit or miss, but the rooms are clean and the AC is usually pumping pretty well. I would avoid the elevator at the main entrance and take the stairs.

I had a good time here celebrating a friend’s birthday. The servers were nice and we never felt rushed. They have a large selection of songs to choose from however the interface for finding songs was hard to use. On the flip side the rooms are huge and the food is solid for what it is. I would recommend the fried shumai and fried tofu dishes. Overall a good option for cheap karaōke in Chinatown.

One of the better Karaōke places in town(and seriously did someone complain about the lack of tap water??) Anyway — this KTV joint is good for the following reasons: — Folks here are really friendly and pretty good about working with people if they want to sing more(beyond the reservation time). They are nice about trying to extend your singing time if there’s any possibility of flexibility. — Plenty of booze to order = a big plus. — Good pricing model and the overall experience is pretty affordable. — Relatively close to the B/D train, which is helpful. — Rooms are pretty comfortable. I shoved 15 people in a room and it was fine. It definitely was more pleasant than some of the other KTV places I’ve been to. — Most(not all) videos feature the original music videos associated with the song, which is great. However, this seems to be more the case with Chinese than English songs(tho many of the English songs we picked — the newer ones especially — did have the original videos as well). All in all I’d definitely come back here again. It’s a great KTV experience if you have a decent-sized party. My only complaint is that ordering songs can be kind of a pain since you have to manually input it in the computer, so there’s a lot of moving around in the room(as opposed to just doing it via remote control) — but that’s a minor thing. We had a great time here and will definitely come back for our next big party.

Yes, this place is really cheap, but I feel like I need to give it a low rating because they do not give out tap water. Isn’t that like technically illegal? I just wanted a pitched of water, and they refused to give us anything but bottled. However, this place does have the actual music videos for a majority of the songs, so that is a plus(and therefore earns itself another star). I came with a group of about 15 people, and it was about 15 dollars a person.(We didn’t order that much though – 2 pitchers of Long Island Iced Teas and some of the obligatory bottled waters).
