This is a great place to eat. The food is awesome. I come here often after leaving or on my way to the Staten Island Ferry terminal in Manhattan. The lamb gryos and chicken and rice are excellent. The staff is always friendly and courteous. One of my favorite Halal carts in New York. Definitely the best Halal cart around the Manhattan terminal.

Actually loved this place for lunch. It’s a food truck but two guys working inside were friendly both times I had lunch there. $ 5 for chicken over rice with a little salad and a can of soda. I’m not sure if the sofa comes with that price. First time I didn’t mention soda paid $ 5 and left. 2nd time I said I wanted a soda too and the guy said just grab one but he still only charged me $ 5. So nice. Sat on bench close by and ate an awesome meal. Chicken was tasty with the white sauce and red sauce. The two they put on by default. Rice was good and little salad went well with the chicken and rice. There are like 4 other trucks to eat right there. They had the longest line. The others had 0 – 2 people. They had a line of about 20 people. Worth it. The line went fast too.

Perfect food for when you miss the ferry and have to wait a while before the next one arrives. Chicken and rice is hot and delicious, and the guy that is usually there is super friendly. There are better halal carts throughout the city, but this guy has a great location and it sure beats buying the overpriced food in the ferry terminal or eating the garbage at McDonald’s across the street.

My first NYC Halal Food Cart experience. Maybe it’s because I had done so much walking, but the Gyro with Rice was amazing! Loved the white sauce and hot sauce. I thought it was so good, that I tried a different Halal cart two days later, but it wasn’t nearly as good, although it was chicken. In general though, the 2nd place didn’t have nearly the flavor as this one. I recommend giving it a try, especially since the total was $ 6 including a soda! Plenty of food for me, even with my wife stealing bites of rice!

You must have seen this food cart when you happened to use the ferry to cross the harbor to Staten Island. It seems like a 24⁄7 food operation. I’ve ordered sandwiches here, even during midnight, when i felt hungry and bored with the food offered in other nearby places… for a difference, i’d try food from here. not bad! & am happy, this one is around to fill in the gaps at moments when you’re just too tired of the typical fastfood fare…
