This is my go to Mexican food /delivery for lunch. The tortilla’s are homemade, I am from Nevada originally — I enjoy their food — fast delivery service too. Would recommend.

Less than 8 bucks a meal… how can you even complain? Especially when the food is smack in the middle of Manhattan. The delivery is always sooner than expected time. They never messed up a single notation I put. The food is a bit on the saltier side for those of you sensitive to salty food. I simply get extra lettuce and less meat: D Good job guys, I hope you guys stay for a while!

I’ve been coming here for more than 10 years since I work right across the street. The best thing they make here is the tortilla! It is freshly made to order and it smells and tastes soooo good. I usually order the mexican rice with chicken and add a side of chilli along with 4 tortillas. I make my own fajitas out of all of that. Yum!

You can’t go wrong with the price and the fast service. We had shrimp tacos. The shrimp was lightly battered and fried and they were good. Two to a taco. What I didn’t like was that the tortillas were hard, corn tortillas rather that the soft flour tortillas.

super fast and easy. The thing to do is order nachos from here and then put General Tso Chicken on top from next door.

Quesadilla with black beans was delicious. Grilled chicken tacos were awesome! The guacamole was mediocre, and obviously not made from fresh avocados. Delivery was quick. I’ll order again, but skip the guac.

I order from this place every other day and they have the best deals on tacos and fajitas. Always fresh and speedy delivery is what has been addicted. Also the tortillas are the star of the show!

Great takeout, Great prices. For $ 30 you can feed a family of three and still have left overs. I love the burritos! The meat is moist and the serving size large. Make sure you order some fries on the side. They manage to pack them so u get them crispy and hot. This review is for takeout

This place makes their own tortillas fresh. Wow, what a difference. Had a few $ 2 tacos there today. I work across the street, this place is a great option for the area. Two tables make it not much of a place to hang out, but you’re really just there for the fresh mex!

If I could give this restaurant 0 stars I would. I ordered their cheese enchiladas, with a delivery time of 25 – 40 minutes. Didn’t arrive until an hour later. The cheese enchilada is two taco tortillas with unmelted cheese in them. Barely warm. Disgusting. DONOTWASTEYOURMONEYHERE. Also, I have called two days in a row to talk to the manager about this. Both times I have spoken to a woman names Tina who has told me the manager was not there, and then hung up on me. The worst service I have encountered in New York.

I ordered this on seamless and it took a little bit to come. I ordered the grilled steak with rice(comes with two taco wraps). I also ordered a jack cheese — egg quesadilla, hoping it would taste like Lime Jungle’s mama empanada. The quesadilla is made with the taco wrap… this isn’t like regular Mexican taco wraps… it’s really thick. The quesadilla tastes like the buttered thick taco wraps with scrambled egg inside. It’s really heavy and I feel my insides dying. The grilled steak with rice tastes absolutely horrible. I’ve had Chinese Mexican food before… but it was actually good and didn’t feel like I was dying. I couldn’t finish it, I had to toss it.

I ordered Special Combo 9 from this place for lunch and it was definitely delicious and affordable. For $ 6.39 I enjoyed grilled chicken & steak with lettuce & tomatoes, black beans, Mexican rice, 2 pieces of fresh tortillas, and a water. I expected the portion to be a bit small side, but I was wrong. I got a ton of rice along with the chicken and steak. They also included a side of salsa and sour cream for my meal. No complaints here… I will definitely be ordering from here in the near future!

This review is for fan #113! Fresco Tortillas is fresh and quick, inexpensive and the staff are super nice. My main gripe, though, is that the spice factor is zero. The accompanying hot sauce is only sweet. There might be a way to get it spicy, but I cannot find it. Don’t go in here expecting straight-up Mexican or even Tex-Mex(though that’s what it’s closest to). It’s not Chino-Latino and comparing it to Chinese food is absolutely racist. They make their own tortillas fresh, so that’s cool — it actually reminds me of a fresh roti place in that matter. I’m open to coming back, but I would order something more salty than the shrimp burrito… maybe steak or something. I need maximum flavor.

I love coming here for lunch. Of course it’s not real mexican, but it’s great food so I don’t know what everybody is complaining about. The wraps, salads, burritos, etc. are great and it’s not too expensive. «Yay, I’m a fan!» and I’m the duchess :)

I loved the idea of takeout Mexican«fast food» and was very excited to try this place out. My roommate and I shared a chicken burrito, a chicken quesadilla, and rice and black beans on the side. Everything was bland and very dry. Final consensus — Chinese takeout is delicious, but whatever they do to make Chinese takeout delicious does not work on Mexican food. Pay a few more bucks(if that) and«splurge» on Burrito Box or Chipotle, both in the neighborhood!

These restaurants are disgusting. Never eat at them. It isn’t Mexican food. It’s Chinese people making imitation Mexican food cheaply and badly charging Manhattan prices. The salsa is just nasty. It tastes worse than the salsas from the supermarket. I once found a fly in my burrito in a Fresco. I will never return.

It’s a Chinese-owned Tex-Mex take-out and free-delivery«restaurant.» It’s really affordable, the portions are huge, and although it’s not the most amazing food I’ve ever had, every once in awhile I find myself really craving their Steak Nachos and/or Steak Burrito. They do their Steak really well here. Not like Peter Luger’s, by any means, but definitely not your typical Greasy Gristly Salty Sugary Chinese, either. They give you a lot of meat, which is really smoky and lean and tender. And they also don’t hold back on the beans or cheese or condiments.

Um, people? YOU’REREVIEWINGTHEWRONGPLACE. «Fresco Tortillas» is a Tex-Mex-Chino joint that used to be between 56th and 57th street next to a Thai restaurant, on the side of the street where Subway is. The place with the burgers is «Fresco 57», a completely different(though delicious) entity, located next to a Boston Market on the west side of 10th Avenue. THIS is what you mean: Please read and check the map before you review. If it’s listed on Unilocal as being Tex-Mex and you didn’t see one bean in the restaurant, that might mean something.

To be perfectly honest, I didn’t even know this place was Tex-Mex; I’ve only ever had their burgers. Heard about them, went to find out. Now have been back three more times. GREAT burgers for the price. Nice big burger(with toppings) and is delicious if you don’t mind well-cooked. I cannot highlight enough the importance of price in my rating. I think it’s less than $ 5 just for a burger, and less than $ 8 total to add fries and a drink – but really, I can never finish all that anyway. UPDATE(7÷1÷11): Sorry, Unilocalers! This review was meant to be for Fresco 57( ). Thanks for the kind heads-up from a Unilocaler who sent me a private message. For the future… in order to see a review saying«YOU’REREVIEWINGTHEWRONGPLACE», one would have to return to the page of the restaurant they already reviewed… why would one do that? Private messages are the way to go.

So, I finally got out of class early enough to head over to Fresco! for a bite to eat. in between my dreadful math class, and right before another class. I really needed a meal that would make me happy enough to get me through my next 4 classes. Fresco! managed to help me out with this slight issue. For a fast-paced place like Fresco!, the food, service and atmosphere could not have been any more satisfying. For $ 7.50, I got the Cabo Chicken Sandwich combo(w/fries and a drink, $ 4.95 for the sandwich alone), the sandwich consisted of grilled chicken, tomato, avocado, smoked bacon and I opted for a sauce-change and got the Chipotle Mayo. The chicken was awesome, cooked great with tasty seasonings and a friendly portion of the mother-clucker. The avocado was nice and fresh, soft and lime green, NO bruises. The bacon has good flavor, but was a bit tough. The tomato was not as fresh as I’d prefer, but good enough. The Chipotle Mayo went well with the rest of the sandwich and kept it from being too dry. Nice, soft and delicious sesame bun, as well. The fries were awesome, definitely made it worth paying extra for the combo, and they give you a ton! The fries reminded me of the fries from Katz’s, big, thick and fresh. I’ll definitely be back to Fresco! the next time I have enough time in between classes to eat a quick lunch. I was surprised the food was so good for such a deceiving little joint, which is kept very clean. They also offer wraps, salads, burgers and other sandwiches. PS The chairs are REALLY comfortable.
