Avoid like the plague. I ordered the three meat combination for $ 14.95 and received a minuscule foam container with two day old hard stale food in such a small portion that it was an insult. Next time I am ordering from the corner Halal cart for $ 5. It’s three times more food and fresh.

I can’t vouch for the new location, but every time I walked in their old location just off of Lexington Ave., it was always smoky, hot, and the staff were running around each other like mad men. Not sure if they were deciding whether to take your order or assessing all ways out of the place. No matter. I tried Fava twice, once for the falafel, which were like oversized Italian meatballs, and for their lunch special, the meat was dry and greasy and their rice overcooked. Not even competitive considering the number of Mediterranean restaurants in the neighborhood; so I’m not sure if reopening next to Gyro King is the best idea, but then again, unless its a drunken crowd during a late night, that restaurant isn’t very populated either.

Unfortunately, I was pretty underwhelmed by my experience here. The tabouli had no taste and did not taste particularly fresh. The hummus and baba both had a taste that mildly stung my tongue, like there was too much lemon juice or something. The best part was the falafel, but it was pretty standard.

I ordered a veggie wrap(Tabouli, Hummus and Baba Ganoush) online. It took an hour to deliver and was the worst wrap I have ever had.

I have had better chicken and lamb over rice and gyros at carts. Prices are more than what is posted…
