Europan Pizza Cafe

Just lil corner to stop by for a good slice of pizza! I ordered pepperoni and chicken! This Pizza was my second slice of pizza in NYC and it didn’t let me down! Pizza was not too greasy nor salty for me! It’s the simple deliciousness!

Staff was incredibly rude. Just wanted a slice of pizza-​the attendant argued with me about what I had ordered, rolled his eyes, insulted me. The pizza was just average and pretty pricey-​$ 4.35 for 1 slice.

You know when a garbage truck passes you in the summer, and you are so suddenly overwhelmed by the horrible smell that it stays in your nose for what seems like hours? That is what it is like for your mouth after you bite into a slice of pizza from the Europan Pizza Café.
Good god this pizza is disgusting.
On the plus side, the employees are very nice, and they merchandize these huge cookies that have Oreo fragments or M&Ms in them. But if you try this place, whatever you do, do not eat the pizza.

I had a cheese slice. I thought the ingredients tasted fresh although I agree it was a little pricey $ 2.85 for a slice (no drink). I would come back and pick this over the chains nearby. Seating was limited but not crowded on a Sunday at 11:00.

margharita slice and the jumbo M&M cookie. That’s where it’s at! Not sure why some people are beating up on this conveniently located pizza joint. It’s fairly reasonably priced and compared to other pizza joints, the slices leave you feeling satisfied without the bloat (they use skim milk for the mozzarella). The Barbeque Chicken slice was flavorful as well. The slices aren’t super sized, but they’ll definitely fill you up.
The bakery section looks awesome and I wish I’d tried more things. The M&M cookie was awesome, but they make everything fresh so I’m sure the pastries would have been a solid choice as well.
Overall, this is a pizza joint that can also provide you an egg sandwich for breakfast, a bagel, a cookie and pretty much any drink you could ever want. What more do you need from a pizza joint? … how about subway access? oh, has that, too.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
I ordered a large pie last night. The cheese tasted like cheap imitation cheese. The sauce was a mess and tasted significantly worse than any jar bought pasta sauce. The pie itself was soggy.
Overall I’m glad I had this experience because I know, which pizza place in the neighborhood has the worst slice.
I would never recommend this place to anyone especially when you can get a better slice from Gotham Pizza, Delizia 92, Rizzio’s, Go 99, Two Bros, Nicks, etc.

Went in here to satisfy my inner fatty. I wasn’t too impressed, but I can see myself coming back here every now and then.
Pros:
–Next to the subway station
–Probably the cheapest lunch spot in the area
–No min amount on credit card
–Not crowded
–Nice staff
Cons:
–Mediocre food
–Limited seating

Teensy little place but located oh-​so conveniently to where I need to get to and the train so I often wind up here. One thing I can attest to is that they are fully staffed in the morning so the wait for an egg sandwich is never too long. Prices are pretty reasonable and the food is good — not knocking your socks off or anything but it does the trick The downside is that there are only two tables. On the rare occasion, when I am able to score one and actually sit down at 8:30 a.m., it feels victorious and I have this ridiculous notion that somehow the rest of the day is going to be good.
Skip the muffins or any of the baked goods, they are always rather on the stale side.

I am pleasantly surprised by europan pizza café. I’ve ordered delivery twice. Both times were fast and yummy. the Margherita Pizza was BEAUTIFUL, with big ripe tomato slices covering the pizza. Was very impressed. It was yummy too.

It was nice to walk in from the subway here to great a late night pizza. Their buffalo chicken pizza was grub!

Not a bad little place to grab a slice. Located right next to the 86^th and Lex subway opening it’s in a great spot to pick up a muffin or pastry on the way to work, or a slice after a night out drinking. The slices are pretty big here, and pretty good too. Not too greasy. This small little nook of a place is clean, has some tables to sit at, and a few small flat screens embedded in the wall. Guys who work here are pretty chill also.
Skip the dry cookies and most of the pastries, but grab a slice and sit at the counter by the window and enjoy the show walking by. Especially late at night when most everyone around here has been drinking.

I go to the one on 86^th. & Lex. I like to eat my slice while seated at the counter by the front window because it’s like being in the front row at a Broadway show. Only better… and cheaper.
And the slice is big and the cheese is nice and melty.
And the people who work there are happy.
And I feel like Louis C. K. when he eats his pizza at the beginning of his show.

I love this Pizza! It doesn’t matter what time you go…
Not only do they have very good Pizza but they also have very good pasta, sandwiches and desserts. I have also had breakfast at the store because they bake on premises and have great bagels, eggs, pancakes and coffee. I’m a regular as I pass the store every day as I go to the subway. They’re on the southwest corner of 86^th Street and Lexington.

Foods OK… but there are so many other places in the neighborhood that are better. I tried the pizza and it was fine. I don’t know if I would go out of my way to order it again. It wasn’t worth the calories. I also ordered a black and white cookie. The cookie was so stale (hard and if you break it, it crumbles and disintegrates) that I couldn’t eat it. It takes a lot for me to not be able to eat a cookie.
Fast delivery.

Dear kind man who works the late night shift at Europan Pizza Café,
Thank you for never passing judgement at 3:00am and being conveniently located just steps from my subway stop. Not only do you heat up my veggie pizza to a perfect melty consistency, but you often give me a complimentary garlic knot or cookie to tide me over for the two minutes in which I must wait (as noted by my roomie below). How did you know that I just can’t wait those additional two minutes?!?
While I am grateful for our late-​night love affairs, I must admit that I hope to never see you in the daylight. And lets be honest, despite our weekly routine, I might not recognize you if I did.

Unless its 2am, there is absolutely no reason to ever eat here.
However. if you need late night pizza, this is your place. There are plenty of tables to sit and savor your slice, however most people opt to take their pizza to-​go. The guys behind the counter are fantastic and usually sneak my roomie and I free cookies with our pizza. How great is that?
