Awful! I haven’t used Unilocal to write a review in a LONG time, but this experience warranted a negative shout out in a public arena. I just ordered off of seamless and thought my order must have been missing something. I got a sandwich and soup combo and it was not only ridiculously small, but also tasteless and not fresh at all. The chicken salad sandwich had literally FIVE minuscule pieces of chicken and no side of bagel chips that were on the menu as coming with it. When I called the restaurant they were rude and said«sorry that’s what the order was» without any willingness to provide service. AVOID!

Epicure is not the fanciest deli in the area, but you definitely get your dollar’s worth. The sandwiches are always tasty and the workers are always polite! I’m not sure what the other reviewers are complaining about. Get one of the homemade soups or the roast beef sandwich!

Never stopping here again! I paid for a bacon egg and cheese sandwich this morning on my way to work. I was super hype because I was starving. Long story short I had no breakfast because my sandwich had mold all over it and I had to throw it out. I couldn’t even go back to the store because I couldn’t leave work sighh Hate throwing away money like that!

Ordered and was told food would arrive in 15 to 30 minutes. 75 minutes later food never arrived. Called and was told was short staffed. Had to cancel order. Avoid like the plague.

Amazing fresh smoothies: pineapple, peach, banana, and orange juice — with fresh fruits chopped right there and great texture. There was a mix up with my panini and soup order but it got sorted out. Would go back again for smoothies for sure.

Wrap with eggs & potatoes: egss soaked in fat, no salt. Tasteless. Potatoes — probably worst I’ve ever eaten. And the coffee tasted also very badly.

This place is mediocre. It’s a good bang for your buck if you already know what to expect from the average NYC deli. Other than that, it’s all for the tourist.

Been here for four days and I stopped here for breakfast. Much better than McDonald’s and about the same price. I recommend the Mediterranean omelette!

This deli might not be the quickest place to get a bit to eat, but in an area saturated with fast food places, it’s certainly going to be the freshest meal you’ll find in the neighborhood. Their fresh juice bar is fantastic, has a wide variety of fruits and veggies, and is affordable. Breakfast wraps are made to order and they have plenty of healthy whole wheat and egg white combos to choose from. I find the staff very friend and willing to let you question and try everything until you’re satisfied with your choices. It’s your standard deli set up, so apart from the freshness of their ingredients, there isn’t much else that sets this place apart. I gave it 3 stars for that reason, and that their service tends to suffer when they are very busy. Over all it’s a good place to grab a healthy snack in an area where there aren’t many nutritious options.

Gonna start this off with positives, they make a decent breakfast wrap and they have whole wheat and non-whole wheat wrap options. A lone boiled egg is also only .75 cents. This is good. Now for the negatives, this place is dingy. A haven for flies even when it’s not hot or humid outside. The bags of chips are dusty. DUSTY. WHAT?! That’s not a good sign at all! I ate lunch here twice. First time was a turkey sandwich. Not much cheaper than other delis in the neighborhood, I told them honey turkey and surprise, they gave me regular. I understand that mistakes happen, however when there are only 2 people there at 12:30pm(prime lunch in midtown and this place being empty often is also not a good sign). The second time I got a quesadilla, it was pathetic — greasy and kind of cold. Breakfast here is pretty cheap and your standard fare, I do like their breakfast wraps. But seriously, with so many deli options around here, go somewhere else.

They’re slow, even when there’s very few customers there. They only have one cashier and you always end up waiting in two lines: One to order, and then another one to pay. Don’t stop here on your walk to work. You will end up wasting too much time and getting to your office late. Their food is very pricey for no good reason. A much better bet would be Café Bonjour, which is on 39th St, the very next block south. Faster, cheaper, and better food. Bagel/Coffee at 5th Ave Epicure = $ 3.15 vs Bagel/Coffee at Café Bonjour = $ 2.

Got a free chicken burrito with level up promotion, but it was more like a pressed panini and it dripped juices everywhere. So I can’t complain about the taste, but the presentation was complete catastrophe from a burrito.

Participates in LevelUp so I went for the discount and both the online menu and board said $ 4.25 for a turkey sandwich so I was in. Unfortunately that was for a pound of turkey not a sandwich $ 6.50 and some passive aggressiveness later I ate a good sandwich but same old same old if you are going to any deli in the city, not worth a trip out of your way.

these idiots make cooking an egg sandwich look like freaking brain surgery. ordered a bacon egg and cheddar on a toasted roll. after mass confusion and repeating my order 3 times, i still ended up with the wrong stuff on my sandwich. and… it wasn’t busy. you people suck. sincerely, disgruntled guy sitting in his office eating gross american cheese on his eggs

I work in the area and have been trying to expand beyond the usual destinations for lunch. In this case, I’m sorry I did. IN A WORD, DISGUSTING. I stood around waiting to order — while the men behind the counter chatted among themselves, and when I finally got service, the jerk acted all exasperated and huffy like he had better things to do. I tried the half-sandwich-and-soup special, and after ordering, noticed the film on the soups and that the tops of the sandwich fillings(tuna salad, egg salad, etc) were dark and obviously hadn’t been used recently. Upon eating my sandwich, I discovered a large piece of plastic mixed inside the chicken salad, that is in addition to the wilted lettuce and brown avocado. I wouldn’t eat here again. Ever.

I got a salad and freshly squeezed juice here for lunch. The romaine was wilted and slightly brown at some of the edges, and the rest of the ingredients weren’t that fresh either. There was only one nonfat dressing on the menu, which I requested, but they switched it and when I got back to the office I found that they had given me a greasy one instead. The place looked disorganized and slightly dingy. Never again.

This place was pretty empty, but it was close to where I was today, and I had a hankering for an onion bagel with lox and cream cheese. The price was right at $ 5. That is if I had gotten what I ordered. After I got home, inwrapped it from the aluminum foil, I found my onion bagel with cream cheese and lox SPREAD(3 or 4 tiny pieces of lox mixed in with the cream cheese). I suppose I would have been alright with that if the bagel hadn’t turned into a brick in the 5 minutes it took me to walk home. The bagels at Hot ‘n Crusty in the shuttle passage of grand central(2 blocks away) was gourmet dining compared to this, and equal in price. They have a ton of other stuff on the menu, but if you’re looking for a bagel, look elsewhere.

Less than five bucks for a bagel with nova? Awwww yeah! The nova isn’t the best in the world but the price is amazing and the bagels are tasty.
