DONOT go here EVER DONOT go here EVER DONOT go here EVER DONOT go here EVER DONOT go here EVER DONOT go here EVER DONOT go here EVER DONOT go here EVER DONOT go here EVER DONOT go here EVER DONOT go here EVER DONOT go here EVER Did I mention not to go here EVER? I mean if you are really itchin for kosher Jew food and you happen upon the shittiness that is Dougies then this is probably what you will encounter: a) phones ringing off the hook because… b) abandoned cashiers c) cooks manning the abandoned cashiers that have no idea how to speak English or how to work the cash registers/computers d) English speaking Jews that roll in around 12:03pm even though Dougies opens at 9:30AM. e) English speaking Jews that are rude and unaccommodating. Now if the customer service is this terrible, I wonder what the food tastes like. You should read Karen Fs review for that information.

DONOTGOHERE!!! now, i tend to give other members of the tribe the benefit of the doubt always because they are part of the chosen people too and because good kosher food makes me happy. however, this was just ridiculous. first off, the guys that deal with orders decided to not show up until noon one day(even though they open at 9) so basically when i tried calling in i was put on hold for over an hour. yeh. i hate them. THEN, in a panic(because i had to order food for an event) i physically went up there to place a catering order. the poor cooks couldn’t do anything because they don’t know how to operate the register. when homeboys actually decided to show up i was given no apology for the wait and communication issues. INFACT, they ignored me and proceeded to take the next person who walked in the door and in the middle of my order answered three phone calls and completed several DIFFERENT orders. what am i chopped liver?! monica and i looked at each other in disbelief. could such horrible disrespectful service REALLY be happening? yes, yes it can, and it did. oh and when the delivery came, the fries were soggy. i hate you dougies, never again.

I just went here for the first time because my firm orders every week from them and its delicious. I walked up the steps and the place is small but it looks nice, m they just painted the store and in the process of making it looka lot nices for us. The service was fast, the pple there were friendly and patient and worked with me while i scrolled the menu suggesting variety of food that i might like. When the food came it wasas expected, a large portion which i was able to take for dinner later in the night . I am def, going to visit there again, i understand they deliver all over the city which is a plus,

Of all of the BBQ places in Manhattan I was expecting this to be one of the best because of word of mouth and the fact that it was always so busy each time I walked by. I would call them and be constantly put on hold to believe that business was really that good. So when the time came, I was able to do an online order via Seamless Web and so came my food. I have to admit the Monster Burger lunch special wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t as «monster» as I expected it to be. The homemade chicken noodle soup tasted like it came out of a Campbells can(which is not always a bad thing mind you) and the baby back ribs were great, except a bit on the salty side. The prices weren’t outrageous(e.g. $ 11 monster burger comes with a can of soda and fries) but the food is hardly impressive. I’ll probably have to give them another shot, but BBQ is one of those cuisines where mistakes are hard to forgive.

My rating is based on the quality of this restaurant relative to all restaurants, not relative to kosher restaurants. It may be amazing as a kosher barbecue joint, but I found the flavor to be just okay relative to normal restaurants. Like another reviewer mentioned, the portions here are very large, which is nice. 24 buffalo wings on a lunch special is pretty damn generous. They are lightly flavored relative to most buffalo wings, and not saucy at all. Decent, but I like the standard kind better. The burger didn’t blow me away, but it got the job done. The fries were the highlight, nicely seasoned, pretty good actually.

A damn fine burger. Really. Wow. It was the size of an appetizer-plate, smothered in BBQ sauce, and totally delicious. The ginormous portion of seasoned fries that came with my order(I got the burger lunch special) were crunchy and(also) totally delicious. A simple lunch — done well. The place itself is up three narrow flights of stairs, past a couple dusty diamond outlets. There’s a handful of tables with space to seat about eight, though when I was there in the early afternoon the only people sitting were the delivery boys and a few folks waiting for their take-out orders. Unless you like sitting under the glare of fluorescent lights on a dumpy plastic chair and listening to a harried guy take phone orders, I’d suggest getting your order to go.

The two manhattan Dougie’s closed down, now only this take-out express version is left for kosher BBQ lovers. A step above fast food; you can say«its not healthy» more than Rihanna, but it still tastes good. Delivery works smoothly and some of the lunch specials are nicely priced(under $ 9). The portions are really big — I generally can make a second meal out of the leftovers. Their lunch specials have very well-priced and include fries and a drink with the main dish. My usual order is the burger or corn dog with spicy fries. I had the meatball sandwich once and it was terrible — don’t get that. By the way, they’re on SeamlessWeb.
