I planned a 30th surprise party for my wife at Donnybrook and they were incredibly helpful and so easy to work with throughout the planning process. Some other perks were that they do not require a minimum and they allow catered food. They gave us a nice area in the back of the bar with no trouble getting drinks, lots of space to dance and hang out. While the space was not separated from the rest of the bar, we still managed to keep a nice sized area just for our party without any interruptions. Great place in general– good music, good drink selections, highly recommended for a party or just to hang.

This place is good to catch up with friends(but only weekdays). Nice seating options with large wide tables. The music is insanely loud on Friday nights. Ended up here a couple of times on Friday nights with friends/coworkers. Everyone agreed it was too loud. At one point my friends and I had to move the conversations downstairs by the bathrooms so we could hear each other.

The pretzel with spicy mustard and beer cheese was AMAZING. Be careful though because the pretzel could burn your fingers when you first get it, but once touchable it’s AH-MAZING

Great place to drink and cheap too! They have enough space to reserve for parties too. Friendly service and good happy hour and you can watch soccer here too.

The absolute best place to drink. Lisa the bartender is fabulous and has great drink recommendations. The hummus plate is out of this world. The punk music is fab. All around great atmosphere.

The bartenders four friends came in at 430p on a Sunday(two of them already wasted wearing«Sunday Suits») they proceeded to yell talk at each other while doing shots subsequently clearing the remaining normal people and ourselves out of the bar.(Within 10 minutes of them arriving everyone finished their drinks or didn’t even order and left.) before leaving the bartender was doing her makeup in a mirror by the bar and one of the friends went to throw up downstairs in the bathroom. Typical douche bar. We came her while waiting to get into Clinton St Baking… Don’t be us. Go elsewhere.

This place is awesome. As a nightlife guy who has done event promotions, club and bar critiques and food evaluations for various publications, I’ve got to say this place is awesome. If you want to go out and party with good looking people? Come here in LES. Forget hair of the dog or pianos where everyone is sweaty and coming from hours away to crowd your space. The bar tenders are hot and the drinks are strong. Even the brunch hits the spot to cure s hangover. Love it here

I’m averaging 3 even though my boyfriend wants to average 4. I’m sure I’ll come back after visiting again and give it a 4. It’s really about the expectation of a bar. If you’re expecting a cocktail bar which they’re kinda trying to be, it’s not that. It’s really a fashionable Irish bar with attractive Irish wallpaper and good beer. Probably 10 draught selections and a few decent cocktails. I came on a Sunday so no great happy hour, but the vibe is pretty awesome. Irish hipster with cool yellow lights. Friendly atmosphere and now that my boyfriend is moving a block away, I’m exciting it’s gonna be our go-to beer spot. Not pretentious and the(not super knowledgeable in cocktails) waitress was super nice except she charged me for my drink even after she very badly messed it up. I asked for one of their signature cocktails… Rye, bitters, Cointreau and champagne. She gave me a drink drowning in Campari. I hate campari. So normally I would have been fine accepting a spoiled drink, but not this time. She actually couldn’t find Cointreau. She asked me to help her find it behind the bar. I didn’t spy it at first glance so I just said use triple sec instead. Turned out fine but she still charged me… She would have gotten 4 stars if only she didn’t charge me for his super amateur mistake. Other that that though, I’m exciting to give it 4 stars upon my next visit!

Most underrated bar in the area and definitely my favorite. This place has a great DJ on Friday and Saturday nights! The bartenders are always pleasant and respectful(which is not common in NYC). The space is great with all the windows and the well priced drinks. It’s an awesome place to host parties! The owner is very accommodating and even contributed a portion of our tab to a charity effort on our group’s behalf.

What a place!!! Hit a bakery down the street and after, while there was rain, stopped and had a pint. Flight delayed and had drinks with Graham and Natalie. Awesome!!! The pub is losing a great man in Graham(he’s off to CA with his wife and family) but if the staff gets an ounce of his passion, this pub will continue to flourish. Natalie will carry that torch!!! Thanks so much!!!

Ahh, the DB! There’s No place like home! Best bartenders, warmest atmosphere and a great gathering spot for a football game to a birthday celebration. The owners are also tops! Best bottomless bloody Mary’s and mimosa brunch spot for the weekends. Donnybrook, I love you!!!

I’ve been coming here for at least 2 years. Its not just a cute Irish pub. It’s my go to brunch spot when I want something healthy to eat(minus the drinks lol) Ask for Frances on Saturdays, she is the BEST!

Pretty much the perfect model of a pub. Huge hall with warm wooden surroundings, and windows all around. They have the games on flat-screens, but it doesn’t dominate. It’s not clubby or annoying, just a good place to have a pint and some conversation.

I’ve never been here for food or before 10pm, but some of the best times I’ve had in New York have been at Donnybrook. Whenever I have a large group from out of town, and they want to go dancing, I bring them here. The music is always on point, playing top 40s and hip-hop, although the DJ could use a bit of work on his transitions. The great thing is that during the summer, the A/C is working at full blast, so no matter how hard you’re raging, you won’t be that sweaty. That said, the crowd is also always very manageable, since it’s pretty far east in LES, and there’s usually a scarcity of drunk douches, which is great. The crowd does skew a bit younger, but it’s never been too much of a problem. Also, I’ve never had to wait in line, and there’s no cover. Bomb. That’s really all you can ask from a dance place in LES. I like that the wooden tables are still available for those who may not want to dance, so wallflowers don’t feel weird. I also like the Irish pub feel, which gives off a comfortable, unpretentious vibe. Bouncers are always pretty friendly and have always been quick to strike up conversation. Surprising, but definitely appreciated. Prices for beer are decent, although not amazing. Bartenders are generally attentive, but not the friendliest in my opinion. Probably need some lessons from the bouncers. Can’t say I’ll be back for food, but I’ll definitely be back for a late night dance party.

Can’t say I’ve ever been here before 1 – 2 am but I like what goes on here late night! 90’s /early 2000’s /top 40, you name it, they play it. This is a spot I go to when I just want to let loose with friends and dance if there’s room. Non-pretentious compared to a lot of places in the area, friendly bartenders, just all around good scene!

From the outside, the place is hard to miss with its iconic white outside and«Donnybrook» written. A decent bar for a fun time. On the weekend, it gets a bit crowded with loud dance music, but if that’s what you’re looking for.

Terribly average food, and it is extremely over-priced for what it is. If you want food, go elsewhere. If you want drinks, stick to beer & wine. When I came here with a friend, we were looking for somewhere nearby to watch the Rangers playoff game. The boisterous, drunken hipster group next to us was so dang loud – and they were NOT watching the game – so it really took away from our enjoyment. I mean, yeah, it’s a bar… but there is still a certain amount of etiquette to be had, right? Adding to that, my food was cold(and the fries were just plain nasty). Ugh!
