Very friendly staff, the restaurant is very clean and has an elegant look. Food is very tasty and very fresh, plus the price is reasonable and not pricy at all. I will definitely go back with my family again.

Found this place on Unilocal while my friends and I were around the neighborhood. This place is surprisingly a very good find. Service was good and the bathroom is super clean! Good portion of food and desserts were pretty good. Should definitely try their crème brûlée

So, the other day, my coworkers decided to try the food at Doka’s for her birthday and what was nice about Doka is, they give you a free birthday meal. With a table of 6, the birthday girl get to choose an appetizer and an entrée of her choice. How nice is that!!! The service was really nice, waiters and waitresses were very attentive and kept refilling our water. They have a really cool bar area in the middle of the restaurant for people who just wanted a few chugs. I personally like the old rustic wooden look in restaurants with dim lights but the lighting made it difficult for me to capture nice photos of the food. You foodies know what I’m talking about. Since this place is quite new, there weren’t many people but I’m pretty sure it’s going to get populated later on. So come here quick because the food is just banging!!! So, lemme start off with the food. You’ll probably say I am lying if I say everything tasted delicious. I am not lying, everything tasted delicious! We ordered the rock shrimp, calamari, lemongrass prawns, Singapore fried noodles, Indian fried mee, Locomoco, and sichuan marlar beef. Everything I mentioned above was well seasoned, goes great with rice, cooked to perfection, and nicely decorated. But the real highlight of the dish was the Singaporean chili crab!!! Holy! I have never had anything like this before. The chili crab will change your life! You probably won’t go back to ginger and scallion crabs anymore. The tomatoey chili was sweet with a hint of tang in it. I just kept spooning the sauce over my rice. So guys, next time you go, do me a favor and order it because it will change your life.

This restaurant was perfect for my Birthday that unfortunately landed on a Tuesday this year. Although my boyfriend and I were the only ones in the restaurant until later, service was great and the food was even better. We ordered the Spring Rolls as an appetizer, and I ordered the Ramen for my meal. Great choice on my part if I do say so myself. Overall, definitely coming here again!

Came here after work just for a drink or two. We had the Doka Wings(garlic fried chicken) if you check-in via facebook or Unilocal. We ordered calamari as an appetizer as well as the Lagunitas IPA and Blue Moon as part of the happy hour. Beers are $ 5, Wine is $ 7, Cocktails are $ 8 for HH from 3−8pm. The wings that we got for checking in were two pieces, but fully marinated with bold flavor. The garlic aroma and moist chicken fell right off its bone. The calamari was good as well, not heavily battered, mixed in with peppers and onions. The waitress is very friendly and occasionally checking in to see if everything was good. I would like to come back to try the other options on the menu! Definitely give this place a try if you’re nearby and stop by for their Happy Hour — great beer selections(mostly drafts) and bartender’s picks for wine/cocktail.

Best sake, amazing staff, love the vibe. Unpretentious chill and never crowded. Been here twice and loving it! I didn’t want to write a review because I wanted to keep this place a secret.

Found the place on Unilocal while in the area w/the bf and decided to check it out. We walked up to the restaurant and while reading the menu posted on the wall, the host walked out and handed us menus and explained to us that they were an Asian fusion restaurant. Tbh it was a little awkward but we decided to go in anyway because the Unilocal rating was good. We got there towards the earlier end of dinner time(around 6) so the restaurant wasn’t crowded at all. There were several people at the bar and we were one of two people at the tables. The service was attentive, maybe a little too attentive because there weren’t many people in the restaurant yet. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, but I felt like our waitress checked in with us just a tad too frequently before we were ready to order. At first we thought happy hour only applied to beer and wine since that’s what was advertised, but then our waitress told us that cocktails were also part of happy hour for $ 8(normally $ 10). We both ended up getting the All-Doka Ginger, which is the first cocktail on the list. At first I thought it was too gingery but once I squeezed the lemon wedge it was much better.(Ginger beer + citrus is a fantastic combo.) I’m someone who prefers drinks that don’t have a very strong taste of alcohol and this one was just right for me. For appetizers, I checked into Unilocal and got the 2 free fried garlic wings. We also got satay chicken and roti canai. Everything was quite good but we felt like the portions were on the small side. The wings were great — they were fresh out of the fryer, super crispy, and perfectly seasoned. Only I checked in, but I think they allow each person to do it, so it’s not limited to 1 check in per table, which is great. Entrees — I got the loco moco and bf got the Indian pan fried noodle. I’d gotten loco moco once before when I was in Japan and was super excited to see that they had it on their menu because I love hamburg/hamburger steak. OverallI thought it was okay. I didn’t care for the tempura egg that came on top. The tempura skin/batter was bland and just fell right off of the egg. I did like that the yolk was very runny. The hamburger steak was nice and moist and the mushroom gravy was creamy. The portion was pretty decently sized but overall the dish felt kind of bland, especially compared to the Indian noodles which had flavorful spices and tanginess from the lime(tbh I think I liked it more than my own dish heh). It reminded me of pad thai but with more spices and with the yellow egg noodles used in lo mein. Usually I’m pretty wary of Asian fusion restaurants but I really enjoyed Doka Square! Good drinks & food, décor is nice and the staff is super friendly and attentive.

Finally got to try this place. The Décor of the restaurant is simple but beautiful. They have a great happy hour selection. Service was great. I wish everything on the menu wasn’t mostly fried. We got a free Crème brûlée for coming on Wednesday and spending a certain amount. It was the best brûlée I’ve had. This place will be big. Just wait for it.

Awesome on every single level! Staff is the most genuinely friendly staff I have ever encountered in all of my time in New York. It was nice to see people smile! Anticipated every single need, a couple times before I even realized I needed something. Extremely attentive. I had the wings, roti canai and spring rolls. All of them were amazing! Indian pan fried noodles for dinner. Really, really good too! Get the trio of crème brûlée for dessert. My favorite part! I’m going to try and come back as many times as I can while it’s still fairly new and not crazy busy, before people discover this hidden treasure! Ps. Great playlist, loved the Radiohead.

Good food, good service, nice décor, great location, clean bathroom and free wifi. First time coming here for happy hour. I live so close to Doka Square. I always pass by but never tried it. Today I decided to go with sis for happy hour. Ordered the famous appetizer Rock Shrimp and Lemongrass Prawn. These 2 dishes were the best. The waitress that helped our table was super friendly and nice. She got us the free wings with Unilocal check in and got us the free Crème brûlée. The décor for the restaurant was so cool. Art, cool lighting and the nice wooden feel. I feel this restaurant can get more business if there was a better happy hour menu with more affordable foods/drinks. I definitely will come back to try the other yummy foods. Would be a cool place to throw a Halloween or baby shower. Big place with lots of seating.

This locale represents the perfect date night setting and gathering place of close friends. The interior designer has managed to capture the essence of the Lower East Side, and infuse a traditional oriental affect to the open space. A seamless blend of casual and subtle class. The waiters and waitresses are very attentive. If your glass is half full, or half empty, a staff member will promptly ensure your intake of H2O is sufficient. The Asian Fusion style of the dishes will definitely appeal more to the Asian Americans who have grown up tasting the older styles of cooking with an artful delivery. I tried the Sichuan Ma-Lar Beef and my brother ordered the black pepper flank steak. Both came with an amazing abundance of taste. The texture of the meats indicate no skipping on the quality of the cut. The rest of the dish follows up just fine, plain old white rice to counter the intense flavor of the meat. Vegetables, cause duh. To put bluntly, I will be back. TLDR: great venue for quiet conversation and tasteful drinks, also a good choice for making a good first impression. If you want General Tso’s, move on. This place is a hidden gem of sorts.

I really wish I could give this place five stars. The atmosphere is great and the staff is really trying. The pork buns are some of the best that I have ever had– the meat is perfectly soft and paired with picked veggies like a fluffy Vietnamese pillow of joy. They ran out of the Chilean sea bass and garlic spear ribs, I think– both of which sounded amazing. We ended up with the locomoco and the lemongrass prawns which were both good but not amazing. I wish the lemongrass prawns had less sauce and leafy greens and more zucchini or hard veggies. Portions are reasonably sized. This place would be good for a large group because they have a reasonably sized space and they weren’t super busy, so you could easily get a big table.

Beautiful and classy restaurant on Delancey. Menu is very attractive, staff is very attentive, this is a perfect place for a fancy drink at the bar or a romantic date if you want some privacy: it’s new so it’s not packed yet. Will give some more about the food very soon.

This place is new, not a lot of people know about it but I recommend DOKA! Don’t let the empty space fool you. I’m sure in few months it will be packed with people. Their edemame is one of my favorite, it has slight spicy twist to it. I can eat this all day! I got their Sichuan beef for entrée. I couldn’t stop eating. If you like spicy like me. Def order it. On the side note their Asian wasabi Bloody Mary is surprisingly good as well. If you are skeptical of this place I would recommend coming in and get a drink with edemame it will change your mind.

So lucky we walked in here. It looked cool and the menu looked really good so we gave it a shot. It’s hard to find really excellent Asian fusion but this place delivers spicy awesomeness. We went with their recommendation on curry roti and it was amazing. Pad Thai was more delicate than usual thanks to thinner noodle. Also don’t miss the dessert — green tea crème brûlée is a truly original creation — great stuff. Everyone was super nice and atmosphere is surprisingly laid back for this sometimes too crazy neighborhood.

Came here last night with a buddy after hitting the gym. It’s quite near by so we’re glad we found a new spot we can chill at after! Very clean and beautiful space. The food is unique and has Asian inspired cuisine, kind of like tapas styled– good for sharing and trying different things. We loved the bacon baos and the potatoes! Great service– everyone was really attentive and super nice. We’ll be back again soon!
