Denise De La Cerda Tattoo

I went to Denise for my first tattoo after stopping someone on the street whose work I loved and asked him where he got it. He referred me to her and I loved the work on her site.
I went in with a VERY specific design that I had come up with, not realizing that I was cutting out the majority of a tattoo artist’s value of being the artists they truly are, but because of my story and the meaning the design carried, she agreed to do it for me.
It was a great experience, reasonably priced for level of experience, and I’ve received so many compliments on the vividness of the color and shading. I haven’t regretted it for a second, and I can’t wait to get another. Next time, I’m definitely having her design it as well though!

Denise is hands down the coolest artist around who uses tattooing as one of her mediums… she is a true artist and tattoos the way the greats painted… she is a best kept secret but I always am yelling her name loud and clear to those who ask constantly who did my work… the detailing… the color… the accuracy and fine lines… She works with an integrity rarely found today and does not ascribe to trend and nonsense… a true craftsman… a true artist… truly brilliant! I could go on and on… but I don’t have time… have to plan the next tatt from Denise!

I’ve been getting tattooed by Denise Since the mid-90’s when I was a wee lad. I’ve gotten full sleeves, lettering and cover ups by Denise. Denise took either my very rough doodles or just rough ideas and went beyond my highest expectations every time.
People really go nuts for her work. I get stopped on the street constantly. Heck her tattoos have probably gotten me laid more than once if we are being honest :)
Her custom work, much of which is freehand is where she really shines. She can do anything you ask but when you just let her run wild the results are fantastic. She is an extremely talented painter so her fine art sensibilities really add something wonderful to her aesthetic. She can take something that may have been done 1000 times in a traditional Asian or old school way and give it a Baroque European flair that is totally her own thing. Her ability to work with subtlety and shading is phenomenal.
She’s super honest and fair with all her clients. Her studio hygiene and quality of equipment are impeccable. She does super clean, crisp work that heals easily. She is very conscious of different skin types and ethnicities and how they react to a needle. Her hand is very light, so much that unless she is maybe working on my ribs I can actually fall asleep. I usually do not because Denise is such a great person to chill with. It’s always a great experience. When you are doing something permanent, expensive and often very personal, you want to have not only great work but a great overall vibe and bedside manner from the artist. Denise has a lot of integrity in her craft and in the relationships she builds. Now go give her all your money!!!
