I ate here with my son a few weeks ago and had a delicious dinner. The service was exceptional and the chef came out personally to assure me that my meal was gluten free.

I had: Sangria. Quinoa salad. Salmon and tabouli. Crème brûlée. White wine port. Service was great, even got a certificate to come back. However, it’s the mall atmosphere that brings this down a notch

Stopped in for a quick bite & recharge after many hours of shopping in the area. Restaurant was very clean & the staff were very friendly. I was seated quickly and was able to enjoy my meal from start to finish in about 30 mins! Most places in the area can barely get you through a lunch in an hour so this was perfect. Food was great and had some unexpected flavors. Would def stop in again!

My brother that lives here claims this is the best burger in town. I’m waiting for my food, but am penning this because I am feeling some type of way. It’s not busy in here at all and my mother and I were seated in the BACK corner honey. No window view nothing. We initially said table for 3 and then said 4 because someone else may come. Our waiter goes,“oh if they show up we’ll move you”. I asked for us to be move BC as a visitor I would like to people watch. Update the tuna tartare was good, but our waitress didn’t ask for refills or anything. LOL the white folks to my right however got the works with their customer service. LOL I will not be back.

Kale salad was barely edible; super thick green dressing with no flavor. Some of the kale seemed like it had gone bad(which is strange since kale is so harty). Wife got a muffin, she said it was fine. They also charged 50 cents for water.

First time I was there everything taste amazingly good. However on the second time didn’t really turn out the same way. The good thing: I like their tarte flambé, not for everyone but I like it. Their cocktails are pretty good and the salmon! Gotta try it! And of course the convenience for being inside of Bloomingdales. Now the bad thing: very limited seating area, the glass they use to serve us water was dirty, ehh! Their waiters service could be better I think consider their name is quite big in food industry.

Service wasn’t that great. Space is small and menu is overpriced for what you get. There are better options in the area in my opinion. Won’t come here again.

This review is purely for the now famous 10 Layer chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and gold leaf. I came in just to try this cake after seeing it on social media. You can sit down and eat the cake, or get a slice to take away as I did. The presentation of the takeaway slice is nowhere near as beautiful as the slice shown on social media when served in the restaurant, but still looked nice. The cake itself was great. The flavor wasn’t as intensely chocolatey as I like but was really wonderful. Moist cake with delicious chocolate ganache on top and a chocolate buttercream frosting between the layers. There were several dark chocolate balls dipped in gold leaf on top. The cake is worth getting but I would sit down and order it as opposed to getting a take away slice. I also called ahead to double check if they had it because they don’t make it every day apparently.

Poor bartender was slammed with making coffee orders on a rainy day with no help. Meanwhile I sat waiting to pay out and be on my way while no one helped him and all the servers waited for their tables’ coffee orders right next to my credit card out and ready to go. The bartender worked quickly however and my grilled tacos were well worth stopping in. Just not impressed with the teamwork here :-/

Great new menu changes! I was impressed that they finally decided to add healthier options and veg options to menu. The veggie burger is great, the skinny cesar salad is lite, tomato soup is always rich and delish, and loved the marinated tofu salad. The tofu salad has a kick of spice and is definitely something new and interesting. Great lunch spot finally has less fattening options!

Ok, David Burke @ Bloomie’s… Here’s the deal. Your food is KICKASS. Your iPads are annoying and have seemed to complicate your business more than making it efficient, which I assume was your intention. Waiting 20 minutes for drinks to hear the server scream«WHOORDEREDTHEMARTINI?» from halfway across the dining area is an indication that your staff is just as confused as we are, so why the iPads? Pressing the«Need Assistance?» button, followed by 20 minutes later no assistance and having to hunt down a server to tell him I made a mistake on my order is obnoxious. It’s even more obnoxious for the server to reply it’s «too late» to change, because then I have to get bitchy which makes me look like an asshole, when your machines are the asshole. Having to ask for your delicious bread is also… obnoxious. We like your bread, what’s up with the breadmaid with the tongs who never once came our way, Mr. Burke? We had to ask for bread on two separate occasions. Thanks. I’ll sum it all up now, I think you get my point. We don’t like the iPads, they’re confusing, it makes your staff inattentive and lazy. We like the idea in concept… at Chipotle or McDonald’s. Also, who puts Kalamata olives in a dirty martini? I mean, honestly… that martini was so pink I thought I was being served a Cosmo.

Came here for a late lunch on a weekday and felt like in heaven ordering the famous truffle fries and tuba tartare. The fries exceeded all expectations I had, the flavour is simply superb! The tartare came in delicious little pastry cups with a wonderful hint of roasted garlic.

Truffle fries rain down from the ceilings and cheesecake lollipops pop up from the floors. Taste buds do the nae nae dance but instead of hearing song… you hear the sizzle of burger meats and the sear of salmon. Now i may not be a super fancy guy… i do like delciousness and tastyness… but i know protein and carb pageantry. First place in the flavortown battle.

This review is based solely on the dessert I had there. LORDHAVEMERCY. Had the 10 layer chocolate cake, a coffee and a big glass of milk. I’m weird and need milk with my desserts. Lay off me. I’m starving. Now let me preface with I am not a sweet tooth gal. I love savory foods. Not sweet. But LORDAY. That cake is so banging. So banging. I made sweet passionate love to it. I’m pretty sure I have diabetes now, but totally worth it.

Awesome place for lunch Went a month or so ago for lunch on the weekend and received great service. It didn’t hurt that my guest was a regular and knew the hostess and waitstaff. Ha! The mimosa was flowing. We shared«bacon on a string», yummers and I had a Cobb salad. Everything was awesome. I took a peek at the bill and it was quite expensive but I was treated ;-) I will def be back

Pretty, pretty, pretty good. Met a friend here for lunch during the snow storm. We were seated right away(surprising because the space is pretty small and they get a lot of traffic from bloomies shoppers). Service was good. Enjoyed the oldies music playing. On to the food My friend ordered an Arnold Palmer– $ 6! This is where I’m docking a star. Very overpriced in all categories. She also ordered the veggie burger which was basically served on two thin pita bread slices. The burger itself looked good although she was a bit disappointed that it had some curry flavor that she was not expecting. Came with a side salad that was boring lettuce with a good dressing. I ordered the turkey club BLT. REALLYGOOD. Toasted bread, melted cheese with some strawberry mayo that was a wonderful surprise. Turkey was honey turkey and very tasty– bacon was a bit too crispy. Came with homemade potato chips which I changed for fries, which were nothing to write about. Typical frozen fries. Overall overpriced but good food, great location.

I came to David Burke at Bloomingdale’s on a weekday for lunch with a girlfriend visiting from LA. We went to Equinox down the street and wanted a cute place that we could go to for lunch. There was no wait and the staff seated us immediately. The staff was all smiles(which is hard to do at a restaurant inside of one of the busiest stores at this time of season), especially the manager. He was super friendly and inviting. We were greeted within seconds by our waitress, who was also, all smiles. She informed us of the specials and when she got to the branzino I wanted to yell«SOLD!» Branzino with risotto? Oh dear heavens. My girlfriend and I eat risotto in our sleep! We started with the tuna tartare wontons which were light and yet filling at the same time. They were plated so wonderfully(see photos) with avocado, mmm mm mmm. We decided to order the fish tacos and also the branzino and split both with each other. The fish tacos you ask? OUTOFTHISWORLD. Holy cow. If you eat at David Burke and don’t order the fish taco’s, please don’t write a review, thanks! The fish melted in my mouth and it was literally bursting with flavor. Absolutely excellent. Now onto the branzino. Thank God this isn’t on the menu. Because if it was, I would be eating it every day(breakfast lunch and dinner). Seriously… this was likely the best branzino I’ve ever had in my life. It.was.soo.good! They should put this on the menu. The manager came to check and make sure everything was tasty and we were never unattended to. Great service in a busy restaurant. I imagine during holiday season and definitely on weekends this place gets super packed but the turnover seemed to be flowing nicely so I don’t imagine someone would wait long. I definitely will be returning!

I read quite a few not-so-great reviews about this place, but it was close to our hotel and I really wanted to try the cheesecake lollipop tree so we came here for dinner one night. The close proximity to our hotel was great but everything else, not so much. Our server and the manager whom we met were friendly but service was slooooowwww. Also, the food was just not very tasty. The popover was cold and hard and my lobster mac n cheese very bland. The cheesecake lollipop tree which I came here for was not very good, and I’m a girl who likes cheesecakes! I don’t know if there was even one flavor that I thought was decent. FYI the restaurant is pretty small and some of the tables are high tops. Not the coziest but they did have a TV at the bar showing an NBA game which provided some entertainment. I should have known better after reading the reviews and after a friend who lives in the area did not mention this place at all when recommending places for me to eat. Oh well, at least I can say that I tried it, but I won’t be coming back again.
