Slowest service! I ordered only one roll of sushi…15 minutes not yet ready! The restaurant is empty!

Sad first impression My order was oyako don but it was not tasty at all and they added a lot of society to the rice. I had to complain at the staff who was very nice by the way so finally I paid 5 dollars just for the miso soup and I left the place.

Came at 12:30 pm and very busy and crowded. Waited time can take awhile during lunch. Food is decent, however, some Japanese food items are somewhat chinese style.

I was looking for a standard/default go-to kinda place for Chinese/Japanese food and I think I found it. It’s close enough that I can drop by for a to-go, the food’s decent and inexpensive, and they always give me a great portion(I usually have leftovers). However, they seemed understaffed when it came to taking orders and waiting on tables. So I understand why they might take a little longer getting people their orders. If that kind of thing upsets you, you might not think it’s worth it. The wait can be anywhere from 20 mins to 40 mins. That kind of thing doesn’t bother me though, I just make sure to go when I don’t have anything scheduled for a while lol.

Ordered from this place twice. One chicken teriyaki box that wasn’t horrible and a takoyaki box that was downright bad. They got my delivery order wrong the second time and none of the food was up to par with other Japanese lunch specials I’ve had. Skip this place.

Never have I ever been to a restaurant that was half Chinese/Japanese. I was a bit skeptical of how the food would turn out, but all went well. The servers were really nice and attentive and the quality of food was great. We ordered both Chinese/Japanese dishes. All was good prepared and overall was a great experience. The area is a bit janky looking but don’t judge it right away! Check it out. ENJOY!

Sushi was not good– dry rice that was obviously not fresh. The fish was ok but a little chewy. Super disappointing The veggie spring rolls were good so I’d like to try the other items on the dinner menu.

Ugh hate to do it but lowering to two stars because I dropped in on a Wednesday night and ordered what I thought would be a quick take out order. Ended up waiting 35 minutes for my food. Restaurant full of grumpy patrons. Phone ringing off the hook. They seem very short staffed. Hopefully it was just that one night. Standing and waiting 35 minutes for average Chinese food that costs under $ 10 is not something I enjoy

This restaurant is half Chinese and half Japanese food. I only tried the Chinese lunch special which basically tastes like Chinese take out. It’s nothing special but good for a quick sit down lunch. The servers seemed busy with to go orders and were a bit slow bringing the check. I asked for a to go box and the box I received was dirty with dust and a dead fly. They brought me a new one but I still feel the place should be cleaner.

Prices seem great for lunch, inside is eh. The usual cheap sushi/Chinese décor and look. Didn’t get the food yet but looks promising.

I came here one day for lunch and the place was pretty packed with to go orders. The waitress took a bit to seat us and was a bit slow taking and bringing in our order. She got a confused a couple of times and gave us the wrong dish, like we are sitting down with drinks why are you giving us our food in to go containers? I had ordered the chicken and broccoli with plain fried rice. The lunch special is one entrée with rice and soup but since it was hot outside the waitress let us swap out the soup for a spring roll for no extra charge. The food was okay, it wasn’t the best mostly because the food came out cold. I am guessing it is because they were so understaffed that by the time they made and bought the food out it got cold. While the the food was pretty cheap, around $ 7 lunch special there wasn’t enough rice. I was still hungry after eating here and usually I feel great eating take out Chinese food, then sluggish and then disgusted at myself for pigging out. I guess you could say that was a good thing but I ended up going into 7 – 11 to get a snack to feel satiated. If you are looking for cheap mediocre Chinese food, and don’t mind the long wait and cold food, then this place might interest you.

Really delicious, big sushi portions! Went here last evening for a quick meal with a friend and we got the following: edamame(a little heavy on the salt, but I like that), ywllowtail jalapeño appetizer with yuzu sauce(these were thick cuts of yellowtail and melted in my mouth!!), california roll, 2 pieces of salmon sushi(beautiful), the Phoeniz roll and Sweetheart roll. Everything was really delicious and completely filling. Definitely going back! The place is small, no nonsense type of décor and not mcuh on the tables other than soy sauce, but the waitresses were delightful and the food was quick.

Mediocre ATBEST. Did I eat at the same place as the rest of you? I chose to order in from here based on reviews and because I wanted something cheap. The food was not appetizing. Kani salad had way too much mayo. The proportion of mayo to the rest of the salad ingredients was like 2:1. Felt more like kani sludge. Spicy crunchy tuna was a little too warm and mushy for my tolerance level. Chewing it gave me a feeling of dread as I prayed that I wouldn’t get sick for being cheap when it comes to RAWFISH. Sometimes I think I’m really asking for a vibrio or anisakis infection. Hopefully I won’t have to learn the hard way. I guess you get what you pay for.

Sushi review: good, average rolls. Average prices. Friendly staff. I came in at 6:45pm on a Monday night for takeout and I was the only person in the place. Friendly service. About a 15 minute wait for my order to be made. Nothing stellar sushi-wise, but nothing bad either. The Chinese half of this is called Sea King 2; the Japanese half is called Daiki(or that’s what the menu says!).

Since I work around this neighborhood, venturing far is never an option especially when it comes to really good Japanese food! With that said, I sometime find myself stopping here for lunch even though it’s not my ideal choice, but I whatever it since life is such. The food is satisfying but not great and it definitely meets my need for a quick fix. Here at this restaurant, they offer two menus, one is Chinese and the other one is Japanese. Usually, restaurants like this are a complete turn off but since beggars really can’t be choosers, I’m not going to complain. The décor is horrible. It resembles more of a fast food chinese restaurant with cheesy linings of plastic marble tables, off white tiles and a flat screen tv for all to enjoy while eating. At the sushi bar, there aren’t any stools to sit, which makes me wonder why they even bother to have one set up in the first place. Either case, I’m still grateful that this place exists since my choices for great cuisine are pretty much minimal.

I’ve been here a few times Noted: — Seats about 30 people — I’ve been here many times — Overall: 3.5 stars out of 5 Food: 4 out of 5 — Hibachi Chicken and Shrimp: I couldn’t finish this plate. They give you ALOT of chicken and shrimp for $ 5.95. The quality is also better than nearby chinese fast food — Bean Curd with Chicken: The portions were large but I was able to finish this plate compared to the chicken & shrimp. Still $ 5.95 which includes soup/soda — Hot and Sour Soup: A bit too much starch? The soup was gelatinous and the soup wasn’t sour enough. I took a few sips, ate the tofu and couldn’t force myself to finish the rest. Service: 2.5 out of 5 — Average service Ambiance: 3 out of 5
