I remember the first time I went here last yr in the summer! Thus was actually the first time it opened up the crowd was real chill and the dj was good! But I think they closed it down!

I went there for reggae night for the first time and had fun. The place is a little small for my taste, but had fun anyway. The ladies were beautiful, they were not stuck up at all, and the drinks were typical N.Y.C. prices. Certainly will go there again.

This place is okay, it looked all familiar because I went in the past and it was called«Spy Nightclub». So, yeah, this is mainly hip-hop, dancehall, soca etc but the DJ just played old music. The place is okay, I went with hubby and some friends for a birthday gathering and they had a fashion show, too. The models were«eh». Somewhat disappointing but it’s not like the show was America’s Next Top Model. The clothes weren’t all that either. We got in for free so I guess we got what we «paid» for, lol

I went here on a Saturday night and it was pretty cool. I added my name to the guestlist, but I still ended up having to pay twenty dollars, which wasn’t that bad. There were lots of people there which is a plus and the music was good. There was mainly hip hop and dancehall that night and the party lasts all night long. I left at about four, so I’m not sure what time the place closes. The only thing I didn’t like were the rude bouncers and the way they pat you down. Its also best to come early are you will be waiting in the line. Come too late you will be paying over $ 30 which I would never do. Wouldn’t mind going there another time. Also drinks are expensive, lol thats why I usually drink before I go out.

This place was a drag… came here the other night for the first time and didn’t experience anything special. The DJ played R&B from late 90s/early 2000’s which I wasn’t digging and there wasn’t that much a mixed diversity which I like. Only reasons I am not giving this place a 1 star is because I got in for free that night and there was more than enough room to dance eventhough, wasn’t much options of attractive females to dance with but its whatever. Just glad I didn’t waste my time to buy drinks too cause I know that I would made my time there that much more blah… smh.

Interior Design: 2 – 3 stars Music: 5 stars Crowd: 3 stars I went on a Friday night and felt a little out of place. 2 Asian girls &1 White girl in an all black crowd. Regardless, the music was AMAZING. I haven’t heard a DJ spin such a great set since I went to Duvet. At least Imperial’s crowd is much better. The DJ spun all hip-hop, from current to old school songs — but they were all good tracks. Apparently there was an vodka open bar 10 – 11PM. The back bartenders told us to get our drinks by the front because of the open bar, but when we got there, apparently we had just missed it. $ 13 for pineapple vodka. Typical price, but it mediocre in its stiffness.

omg this place is BOOTY!!! It is hood beyond belief… do NOT expect to find attractive OR well-dressed individuals in this place. $ 20 cover and $ 14+ cocktails is a ripoff for the type of crowd that frequents this hood establishment. Also, $ 40 card minimum? Really? My girls and I came here the first(and last!) time this Saturday, January 1st… the ONLY redeeming quality was the dj and the music, oh and maino’s appearance, too. Verdict: Save your money and DONOT waste your time here

I only gave this club one star because zero was not an option. This is an AWFUL establishment. A big waste of time and money! Patrons are searched less with TSA at the airport. There were constant conflicts and people were constantly being carried out by security. The owner and the remaining staff appeared disgruntled. The club itself looked like a a dingy basement and well drinks were $ 12. This place is perfect if you’re ‘hood and feel like partying in the same outfit you wore to the supermarket earlier during the day. Fun loving urban partygoers should run the other way. I wish I did.

This place is terrible. It is not worth the price of admission or your time. The space is not maintained at all. There are better places to go.

This is a terrible dirty club. If you enjoy having your ass grabbed but disgusting fake gold teeth wearing me then u may love it… but if your that kind of person you’re gross anyways. 10 $ coat check is the first sign that this is not going to be a good night. Weak 12 $ drinks is the next sign but if you’re like me and there for someone elses birthday and have to stay expect your night to get much worse. People are smoking weed and cigarettes and loser guys are walking around with their bottles trying to act like they have money. A man tried to hit me there and the staff did nothing about it. I’m female, soooo if you are looking for a trashbag loser to date go here for sure but if you want to have a good time and not feel like you’ve been rubbed down with herpes infested freaks skip it for sure. I wanted to throw up!

Thank G-d for Salsa — it keeps us grounded in the city of It; our looks and clothes don’t matter as long as we can move! I came here on their Wed salsa nite, and after myriad of posh clubs, it was a quite liberating experience to step into this ugly looking joint and veni/vidi/dance for couple hours. For guys — don’t expect to hook up or even get a phone number, but there will be plenty of decent looking mamasitas(poorly dressed though) who don’t seem ever say«no» when invited for dance. If u have taken 10+ lessons, don’t be afraid to venture in, look for girls who don’t move like crazy and go for it.

This place has really gone downhill… like most clubs in the inconspicuous Flatiron District. The crowd tends to be trashy, the carpet in the VIP area smells because it has never been cleaned since the club opened, and fat girls in short dresses decide it’s a good idea to dance in the cage with no underwear on! If you manage to get past the tacky vibe though, with the right DJ, the right people and the right amount of alcohol in your system you can enjoy your night.

Re: Upscale Crowd’s Carnival Saturday parties: Just don’t go. New York city is huge, and on any given Saturday night, there are hundreds of places to go and things to do. Why should you tolerate uneducated and underemployed, rude bouncers with fuzzy cornrows and old teeshirts from their old jobs — Aer? – demeaning and insulting you, and telling you that your guest list confirmation email from the promoter means nothing? Methinks no… especially when the crowd is basically the same group of people who hang out at 40⁄40. Euw. Save your time and cab fare, and choose a venue where you will enjoy yourself while maintaining your self-respect. That’s what I did, and my only regret of the night was that I wanted to give Carnival Saturdays a chance in the first place.

I used to come here when it was called Spy Nightclub. Now it’s called the Imperial Room. The huge speakers and the couches have been removed to make an even wider dance floor, which is a plus. For a club, it’s still relatively small but good music and the crowd varies. I’d go back… once in a blue moon.

I did have fun! But being down the block from The Taj, and the other clubs, it seemed kinda low budget. Their open bar was dollar vodka mixed drinks, and I think they made you do coat check. Umm, they played the game(with the awesome Lebron shot) so that was nice. Interesting mix. I honestly thing though, that the crowd I was with… I’d go again, with right people. The music was good too, nice hip hop mix on the Friday.

The good — Music was on point for dancing(for the most part) and there is a good amount of room to do it. You can smoke in here… which I was amazed at. big bonus points Cocktail waitresses were hot and friendly There is a cage. which can provide entertainment no matter how good or bad the the dancers within are Not so hot — The bathroom was tiny and took a while once the place packed out I’ve never been here on a regular night but I can see the d-bag potential in the crowd judging from the amount of zebra print dresses going at it on the dance floor . $ 12 drinks. it is NYC. so not a total surprise

So as per suggestion of a coworker we came here for my friend’s *gasp* 26th birthday(Yes, we’re old, but we can still tear up that dance-floor). My first clue that it was going to be a horrible night was the $ 6 coat check — apparently it’s 3 bucks per item and I failed to make that connection when I handed over my coat AND an umbrella. Oh well, I guess thats partially my fault for bringing an umbrella to a nightclub, but it was raining and g-d forbid my hair should frizz. Anyway, as we entered the club I was all pumped for the 2 hr open bar we were promised. Unfortunately, in reality the 2 hr open bar became a one hour open bar with each drink costing a $ 1 and containing ZERO alcohol. Not to mention the bartender was an ASS who refused to add more alcohol to my drink after I nicely explained it was all soda. Also, I cannot forget to pay homage to the security guy(complete Jerk) who was standing directly to the right of the bar. Apparently we were not allowed to lean against the bar because we’re taking up space. Not for nothing but no one was at the bar because the drinks were from hunger. The décor and overall appearance were nothing to call home about. Basically it was a glorified bar. The only plus was the music. The DJ was the only person in the place who knew how to do his job. I am in complete agreement with Priya S. Save your time and money, and go somewhere else.

ok, so there’s more than 2 toilets in the men’s bathroom… and this place is awesome on a Saturday, they get big name DJs every saturday nite so the music is on POINT…

I went here on a Friday and had a great time. Wasn’t sure what to expect in terms of music. I’m a hip hop junkie so I tend not to like a lot of house or techno. The music was great! The DJ played a good mix and gave the crowd a lot to choose from. There was a good vibe all around. I liked that it was so packed that I couldn’t dance. I never did see any go-go dancers though. The only thing that bugged me was that the bartender wouldn’t just give me a glass of water. I had to buy it. LAME.
