Very good, awesome atmosphere with a comfortable feel. Candlelight, instrumental music, cozy setting an beautiful dish sets for great food. Totally worth it. Love!!!

Service was excellent, professional and courteous all around from server to manager to busboys. Had the Calamari Duo, Spring Salad, and Pork Chops. Portions are ample, the Calamari Duo had these very nice black beluga micro-lentils which were nutty and satisfying. Pork chops were very well cooked, juicy with just the right amount of seasoning. The bacon helped make the potatoes more than just potatoes. Would definitely recommend– but I was told they closed down when I called today!

The big windows that let in the sunlight are the draw, stay for the well-prepared food and strong drinks. Brought my man here for a birthday meal, and I think that I may return for my own birthday lunch! They have a small menu with a little bit of everything for everyone. I tried the brown rice and poached eggs with an arugula salad, while my husband tried out the Ahi Tuna burger. Both are definitely worth trying.

I came here for lunch after a wonderful morning at the spa… I found this place on Unilocal and the reviews seemed good enough so I decided to give it a try… plus my stomach was talking to me… Ok so here’s the deal, there’s not much on the menu to choose from… I like variety on my menu so I can take all day deciding what I want… I’m picky. lol…I don’t eat red meat, or shellfish so you can imagine how slim my choices were… I settled on a fresh mozzarella and basil panini sandwich and I added some chicken breast to it to make it heavier… Like I said I was starved… My friend ordered the spicy shrimp with some reservation because he doesn’t like overly spicy food… but our waitress was nice and assured him that it wasn’t too spicy… After looking at the drink menu, I decided to just be simple and I asked for a rum and pineapple… They didn’t have pineapple juice… bummer…So the bartender made me a rum with cranberry and oj… It was good… My sandwich as very tasty and delicious… My friend wasn’t so lucky… He got about 5 pieces of shrimp for $ 16 and wasn’t happy about it… hahaha…I laughed so hard I almost choked on my food… Aaaahaaa hehehehe… That’s what he gets for trying to be fancy… I ended up sharing my sandwich with him because I felt bad :( This place was ok… but I’ve had better…

Came here with 5 other girls for our monthly brunch and it was awesome aside from the initial wait — docked one star. We had a reservation for 7ppl originally but one had dropped out so they asked if we were okay with a 6 person table and gave the table to a 8person party. We had to wait around by the very crowded doorway & bathroom door for 15 – 20 min, so that was not pleasant. but once seated, our waiter was very attentive and very helpful. One of the girls had to leave early so they had expedited her order(food came in 10min). She said the Cuban sandwich was good. The rest of ordered different items and shared amongst ourselves. The waiter gave us extra plates so we had an assembly line going as we put together a small plate of everyone else’s food. The things we had tried: — organic blueberry pancake — chorizo, pesto omelette — crème brûlée french toast — pappardelle — truffle eggs benedict — side order of 2 apple chicken sausages(YUM!) Everything was delicious. I especially enjoyed crème brûlée’s blackberry sauce. Pappardelle was toothy and tasty. The omelette had roasted pepper and lots of chorizo. I wasn’t a fan of the dollop of sour cream placed on the pancake but aside from that, it was delicious. For dessert, we shared an order of the fried donut(dark chocolate ice cream in the middle). It was a bit too doughy for us. We were expecting more of a yeasty donut, but the ice cream was great. This is a great place for brunch~ we were loud but definitely didn’t stand out and we were there from 12 to 2:30(sat down for 2 hrs) and we were not rushed at all.

The e-mail on this venue’s website( ) bounces back as un-deliverable every time I tried to make a reservation. Food: certainly not great. I had dinner with six other friends and nobody really finished everything on their plate. Says a lot! Rumor has it that they just hired a new chef, so perhaps the previous good reviews were not totally deceptive. I had the Mac and Cheese with Prosciutto. It was… okay. My friend’s spicy fries were great! Her burger, not so much. For the price… definitely experienced better. Service: the server was nice, but hardly ever around. Food took at least 40 minutes to get to our table. Décor: very loud venue, you can hardly hear the person next to you! Somehow, they need to renovate so that the walls absorb noise instead of reflect it.

Unpleasantly surprised by this place. With lots of good reviews I thought it might be a step above a generic, over-priced ‘new american’ city café. But alas, small portion and high’ish prices can only be overcome with delicious food… and it just wasn’t that good. Tried the meats and cheese plate — tiny little cuts of both that were only of average quality. Had a chicken Cesar after that… not much flavor and the chicken sort of tasted like it came off a George Foreman grill… Pear sidecar was pretty good though, $ 12 for that wasn’t crazy but far from a bargain either. Overall I’d really recommend you skip this one — don’t say I didn’t warn you!

09/16/2012 I spotted this place with my cousin who was visiting from California when I was bringing her around Soho. We came in for lunch. The waiter brought us water from a huge glass bottle and took our order. My cousin got an omelet with homemade potatoes and I order a raw tuna sandwich with salad. Never had it, but worth a try. For $ 8 This burger was worth it. Taste very good with the added spices so you would not be able to taste the rawness. However, the tables were too small. On the interesting note, there were many people around me drinking bloody mary’s with their brunch.

Probably my favorite restaurant in NYC. After a long day of walking around and seeing the sights, it’s nice to sit down and be treated well by a host of friendly staff, and to be surrounded with beautiful décor. I absolutely loved the interior, very chic. We came during the lunch rush hour but were seated right away. I had the chicken panini, which came with an excellent side salad, and my husband had a tuna burger with fries. Both dishes hit the spot and were excellent, but I probably would have been happy with anything else on the menu because all of it looked SOOO good. The water flowed freely via a glass bottle placed on each table. Once your bottle was empty, the wait staff immediately replaced it with a new one. I really appreciated this, because I happened to be really thirsty that day. Bathrooms are 2 floors down, and you can hear the subway rattling the doors/walls down there, but this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Overall, I love you, Corner Shop Café.

Easy breezy reservation made on Open Table via Unilocal app. I highly recommend going this route. I don’t know where to start. The food. The atmosphere. The service. Stepping in, you feel like you’ve been transported into a movie. Perhaps in Paris, perhaps in Rome. There’s no way to tell, but it’s a magical feeling. The atmosphere is impalpable. Cute bar in the back. Awesome farm style tables in the middle. Plenty of room. Two people or a small group, it’s all good. The service, echoing the atmosphere, is polished. Jennifer was exceptional. Honest, thoughtful, and funny. They pay attention to you. Mark, the manager, is awesome, and runs a tight ship. The food is time-honored, but well done. Fresh, simple, options for everyone. We loved the ahi tuna and beef burgers. The roasted chicken was spot-on. Cocktails are delicious. Great dessert list — we loved the rice pudding. This should be your spot for out-of-towners, a first date, or a long, casual dinner with close friends. I can’t wait to return.

Ackkk… I hate writing reviews for places that you just wanna like so badly for those places that are almost there and pretty much there but with a few awful drawbacks. The goods: Atmosphere, thank you for having taste and making this place visually amazing. Servers, thank you for being so nice and friendly but understaffed. The bad: STAYAWAYFROMTHESEAFOOD dishes… we had an extremely delicious Calamari dish, however the«special» octopus salad was profoundly un fresh I actually spat out the octopus for fear of getting food poisoning. They took it back and asked me to order something else. I proceeded to order the yellow tail mahi burger… for the love of god this chef sucks at cooking, it was extremely undercooked and raw in the center and they had to send it back to have him re cook it. The only factor that is keeping this a 2 star review is the fact that their staff was friendly and seemingly genuine and helpful and also compensated my awful experience with 2 complimentary desserts. Recap: No hand soap(gross) un fresh seafood UNACCEPTABLE false marketing serves lunch until 5pm but we came in at 4:35 and you said we can’t have lunch. The truffle mac and cheese was divine and so was the calamari and desserts.
