If your looking for a place to relax and have a drink this place is pretty cool. The food options are VERY limited so I suggest you eat before you get here. They have a decent happy hour too. It gets crowded quickly so if you aren’t there early you might have to stand and wait for someone to give up their seats

Visiting from Texas and came to this bar after all day of touristy stuff and we’re glad we did. The place had a spectacular view and great drinks. All staff was very friendly and this place is a must visit for my next trip to NYC!

Nice view? Check Awesome bartenders? Check Inviting Crowd? Check After going next door to the ridiculously crowded Krush, we decided to check this place out as it was right next door. Upon entering the hotel, you’re greeted by the nice doorman who will guide you to the top of the hotel where the rooftop is. Once you exit the elevator, you’re greeted by the bouncer who will shine a flashlight onto your over 21ID and let you right in. On your right, you’ll see the bar attended by 2 awesome bartenders and to your left is a little private room for what I presume to be reservation only seating. However, there are many seating outside in the open air to enjoy your drink — especially in the summer light. Ordered 4 drinks — 2 Midori Sour, 1 Old Fashioned, One Manhattan and of course checked in on Facebook for the free shot. Also got two food items — cheese/meat and hummus platter. Total came to $ 78 and we tipped $ 20 so an average good cocktail will run you about $ 15 here. It’s really not that bad considering the seating and view you’re getting. Plus, there’s a smoking and non smoking so if you’re like me, you’ll crave a cigg or two after having a couple drinks. The bartender is also really down to earth and fun! We didn’t really know what to order after the first drink so she did a little experiment for us — which turned out to be really good(and strong). Also came to join our table for a bit. Unlike the view in some rooftop bars, you actually get a nice 360 view of NY from the 17th floor. There are bars to prevent people from falling over but you’ll still be able to see the traditional landmarks(Empire State for one) and enjoy the summer weather as well. Being so high up gives you the breeze you won’t get on the lower levels. This bar makes the list on my top favorites in NYC! Come give it a go if you’re in Ktown/Midtown. If it’s not your cup of tea, hey, at least you gave it a go.

Didn’t try it out lastnight because no one is allowed to sit at the bar even though I saw a man sitting there and the tables looked packed and I didn’t want to join a random table. made me feel super uncomfortable so went to bar across the street and sat at there bar and felt comfortable wasn’t put in a awkward situation there.

No atmosphere. Casual place with some bad music blasting. Drinks were not cheap and tasted bad(though most people don’t come here for that). Great view of the Empire State Building. Was not too crowded, even on Friday night.

Worst customer service ever! Don’t even bother coming in here. Nothing impressive, looks cheap.

Not that impressive as far as views go. The area is pretty small too, but I appreciate them limiting the number of people allowed into the bar. There are probably better views around the area(2305th Avenue for example), so I would skip this one.

What a hidden gem! I really enjoyed my time here last night. Perfect views, nice priced drinks and a very chill atmosphere. Definitely will stop by again.

Located on the 17th floor of the Nyma Hotel in Koreatown, Cloud Social is a small rooftop lounge with a half covered and half outdoor space. Views are not bad, Chrysler building on one side, partial view of the downtown skyline on the other, and the best in your face view of the Empire State building right above you. I was here for a networking event and unimpressed with the cheap red wine I received and the cold service by the bartender at the bar. She had a bit of attitude and it was only 6:30 pm. They do have heat lamps, which I wish they had turned on earlier since it was 50 degrees outside. I can’t speak to the regular crowd that hangs out here, but I’d imagine it might contain some of the European hotel guests that stay here. I feel sorry for the people whose rooms are actually on the same floor as the bar/lounge. It would be terribly noisy. Would this be a rooftop I’d come back to, no. It was just meh and kind of a one time and I’m done thing.

Been here twice. Perfect view of empire state. Fun cocktails that are decently priced for the ambiance and cocktail quality(~15−20 $/cocktail). They also have a great selection of drinks to pick from, and I’ve never been bored from lack of variety. It is perfect for hot summer evenings, and even if it’s a bit chilly out, they have heat lamps to keep it comfortable.

Pleasant weather on a Wednesday evening called for a rooftop bar. Saw this spot had good ratings in the area, so opted to come here and hope the crowd isn’t unbearable. The elevator to this establishment is slower than a snail on sleeping pills. After the hot and slow ride(ha), noticed the bar is fairly small yet not packed. Views are nice and worthy of a few Instagram shots. Since we missed happy hour, had to pay between $ 9 – 15 for drinks. Not completely outrageous considering the venue, but still hurts the wallet. Bartender is nice and the location is solid. The people smoking sucks since the outside area isn’t big enough to get away from the smell. Fine spot, might come back for HH.

Came here for a quick drink before hopping back on the train to head back to Long Island. It’s located on the rooftop of a hotel, and thankfully with signs posted on the main level, it was easy to find. I ordered a lychee martini($ 12) and was a bit disappointed with the quality of the drink. Little alcohol content, with not much flavor. Staff were nice and with it being only 3:00pm, there weren’t many patrons either.

I think this is an undiscovered gem in this particular area! It has an up close view of empire state and unlike other rooftop bars around this area, it is not crowded. I visited here on a Friday night and we got a table easily. The music was not crazy loud so it was easy to talk to my friends. Drinks are priced ok.

Came here for HH on a random Thursday and it was nice! The weather that day was absolutely beautiful and my friend and I were able to snag a table easily(since we came at around 4pm). The view of the Empire State Building was beautiful and although the sunset was blocked by a nearby building, the view was gorgeous. They have HH drinks priced at $ 7 each for Stella and Kloud beer as well as well drinks. Not bad for a rooftop bar in ktown! I didn’t really notice when it started getting crowded but by 7pm when I got up to get another drink, the line for the bar was at least 10 minutes long. The weird thing was that the line was incredibly civil, haha. When I say this, I mean that it’s not your typical battle-for-the-bartenders-attention kind of thing. People actually formed a line in the order that they arrived to get their drink. It was kind of nice actually! The venue itself was slightly on the smaller side but what can you expect from a rooftop bar in ktown? I would definitely return here!

Hidden, little rooftop bar with a very up-close view of the Empire State Building. I’ve been here more than a few times and it has never been crowded, although I do wish there were some more tables and seats available. There’s one section close to where you enter that includes a more private area with couches and a table good for a group of 7 or 8 ppl. Heating lamps are on in the winter, which is a plus.

Nice, pretty views and quiet. Weird card policy. Not the nicest rooftop bar in NYC, but I would say it’s still worth a visit if you’re nearby and looking for a rooftop bar to check out. I wouldn’t suggest going out of your way to get there. It was pretty empty the night we went(on a Wednesday) but I liked that because it allowed for easy conversation and really just a «chill» environment. I wish they didn’t have such high bars around the bar so that you could really capture the view in photo… But that’s not why I gave them 3 stars. My issue with this bar came when we went to close our tab. We were trying to catch a train and being that the bar was so empty(2 other couples) we didn’t think it would take long to close our tab. However, when we went to close out, the bartender who took our order was gone(we had one round). The new bartender found our card and then told us the woman had to close us out since she started the tab. We asked if there was a way he could do it because we wanted to catch a train, and he refused and said she should be back soon. He proceeded to help the one other person waiting to order and just avoided eye contact until our bartender magically reappeared. The whole closing our tab portion of the night really threw us for a loop. I would say if you check this place out, bring cash so you don’t get stuck waiting on the bartender.

Trying different rooftops this Winter, I came across this one while in K-town. Located inside the Nyma hotel, this cute rooftop bar kept us warm on a rainy night. Music played as we sipped rum punch, STRONG rum punch, strong enough to make you forget that baby it’s cold outside! We sat at a tall, long table with stools. This place is good for small groups. Seating is basic, nothing posh/foofoo here, which isn’t bad as long as you’re not expecting Gansevoort style décor. The barmaid was super friendly and eager to make cocktails without being overly chatty. Tonight was a quiet night, people out shopping for the holidays. It was rainy and the empire state building was illuminated in a cool halo of fog. Nice place to come hangout without the foo foo level.

Cloud Social is a hidden gem amidst a busy street in Ktown. It is my little secret and I hope you keep it that way too so it doesn’t get crowded! The views are amazing at Cloud Social. You have a super close up view of the Empire State Building(it’s only 2 blocks away!) as well as the Freedom Tower. There is plenty of outdoor seating too. There is a mix of locals and hotel guests here, and it is the complete opposite of those pretentious rooftop bars. The ambience is chill here and this is a perfect place for conversations with friends. You can go here to pre-game or end the night here. They have happy hour specials until 7pm, but if you can’t make it by then, don’t sweat it because the drink prices are very reasonable here, considering it’s a rooftop bar.

It was a pleasant surprise coming to a non-crowded rooftop bar on a Saturday evening. There are plenty of seatings to lounge around with your folks! I would have totally given 5 stars, if the drinks were actually pretty good. Drinks: –Asian Cosmo $ 12: Just tastes like a bunch of syrup as my friends describe it as «an overpriced juice.» Very weak and gingery. So if you want to pretend that you are drinking, get this one. –Old fashioned Snob Knob $ 14: tasted really watered down. –Manhattan $ 14: pretty standard. Pros: –Great view of the Empire State Building and the city –Plenty of seatings/non-crowded space –Friendly and caring bartenders –Free shots with Unilocal check-in Cons: –The drinks could be better Recommended? Yes. I would totally come back for happy hours.

Don’ t know what is social about a roof top bar . But anyway — the small bar on the 17th floor offers nice views to the neighborhood buildings and we nearly missed the magnificent sight of the Empire State Building which is to be seen from some seats close to the protection fence. The drinks were good, you may even get glasses instead of the usual plastic crap. Nice and relaxed place to enjoy a warm summer night.

Petit roftop sympathique.
