Bf and I went specifically for the $ 1 oyster happy hour and ended up over indulging ourselves in seafood bliss! What we ordered: Adult Caprison: Royal Garden $ 7 — Had more of a cucumber flavor than I expected, and a ton of soju. The pouch was fun. Good for anyone who likes a strong drink. $ 1 chicken wings — Perfectly fried. It came with blue cheese dipping sauce. Don’t eat them right away, or else you will burn your tongue. Fyi, the chicken wings were actually pieces of the small drumstick and the middle section of the wing. 1 Dozen raw oysters, $ 1 each– I believe they were blue point oysters from Long Island. They were very mild in flavor, not overly sweet or briny. Some of them were very huge! 1−½ dozen grilled oysters, $ 1.50 each — These were delicious! We initially ordered ½ dozen, but decided that we needed to eat another dozen of these buttery garlicky seasoned oysters. FYI, the oyster shells are very hot(since they’re coming off the grill) so use a piece of towel to hold onto the oyster shell while you spearhead the oyster! ½ dozen grilled clams $ 1.50 each — The texture and taste was almost the same as the grilled oysters. Very delicious, but we preferred the oysters. As a warning, there was a bit of sand/broken shells in some of the oysters I ate, but my bf didn’t find any in his. This happens every time we’ve ordered oysters from different restaurants, so don’t let the bit of sand/shell become a sour note in your meal. 2lbs of shrimp in spicy Claw Daddy sauce $ 14/lb — The shrimps were huge, and there was so much more shrimps then I anticipated in 2lbs! Try to eat the shrimps quickly, or remove them from the hot sauce so that it doesn’t overcook. The Claw Daddy sauce was garlicky and had the peppery Cajun flavor. Spicy wasn’t very hot, sort of like a tingle on the tongue. I believe that in order to enjoy a good seafood boil, you must be very hands on — no gloves because it gets in the way of peeling off the shells quickly. You gotta really dig your finger in to separate the head from the body of the shrimp and slurp up the sauce/protein that is there. So in the end, both my fingers and bf’s fingers smelled like shrimp and garlic up until the next day. The only thing that bothered me was that the shrimps were not de-veined. De-veining cooked shrimp is a messier and slower affair than raw shrimp. Overall, I would totally come back and eat a couple more pounds of shrimp and oysters!

Went out on a weekday evening with a few friends and we were advised by people at the table next to us not to order the Claw Daddy’s special sauce for our crab legs. Instead, we went with the garlic crab legs, Oysters, nice hot fried chicken wings and cat fish po’boy. Everything was delicious with the exception of the catfish, I found it to taste too«fishy». The spiked lemonade was good as well. They were short staffed but service was still good.

Definitely do not come here if you don’t want to get your hands dirty. Claw Daddy’s is very spacious when you’re walking in with a bunch of picnic tables to choose from as well as tables along the outskirts. I started with splitting the wings and a cup of gumbo. The wings were seasoned well and were pretty good. Wasn’t a big fan of the gumbo. This could also be because NOLA is my standard so this definitely fell short of my expectations. For my entrée I did a pound of shrimp and a pound of crawfish in claw daddys special sauce. I tried at first to use the gloves they give you but it didn’t fit my hands and it made everything even more difficult. Everything tasted great and paired well with my selected sauce. The only problem I had with my entrée were the crawfish. There just really isn’t too much meat for all the work you do. The shrimp were excellent however and will definitely be on my order next time.

My family and I came here on a Sunday night. We had made a reservation but when we got there, we still had to wait about 15 minutes. It wasn’t too bad considering how packed it was. This is a get-your-hands-dirty type of place. Definitely don’t come here on a date! You order seafood by the pound and get to choose which sauce you want it steamed in and how spicy. Any 2-pound combination comes with corn and potato in the bag so I’d recommend ordering this and sharing with friends. My family ordered a pound of clams and a pound of shrimp in mild garlic butter sauce and a pound of shrimp, a pound of crawfish, and a pound of snow crab legs in the Claw Daddy’s Special sauce. Everything was delicious but honestly after a while, both sauces started to taste the same. I wouldn’t get the crawfish again — they were incredibly small and not worth the price. The shrimp and clams were great though! I also tried the Just A Dream Adult Caprisun. This was soju with pineapple juice and mint served in a large ziploc bag like a Caprisun. Very clever and the drink itself was not bad! Tasted exactly like soju with pineapple and mint. Our bill came out to roughly $ 45 each, including tip and tax. We also ordered some appetizers too so I didn’t think this meal was too overpriced. I like this better than The Boil because you can make reservations and not have to wait 2+ hours for a table. I’d come back here again with friends.

Claw Daddy’s is a fun place to go for $ 1 Happy Hour bluepoint oysters and $ 7 adult capri suns amongst other eats and drinks. I highly recommend making reservations since this place gets pretty packed. HH is Mon-Sat 5 – 7:30pm and Sun 12 – 7:30pm. It’s also a great joint for eating seafood by the pound. The wooden and nautical theme is perfect. I found it really cool how they provide you with bibs, gloves, and wet wipes. The shrimp is popular(for obvious reasons). They offer different types of Southern/Cajun sauces and different levels of spiciness. I ordered the crawfish and it wasn’t exactly the easiest to eat but our waitress(who happens to be allergic to seafood yikes!) donned a pair of gloves and showed me how to get the meat out. Service here is friendly and top notch! Everyone here is so chill.

One of those«get yo hands dirty and dig in for a family feast!!» type of place. Looks like it would be fun if you come with your friends, not on your first date… This is for the happy hour for Saturday lunch :) We ate before already but husband was craving oysters so we walked in. Raw oysters: $ 1 each for happy hour. My fave out of all the other stuff we ordered. You get ketchup and lemon. Skip the ketchup, squeeze the lemon on it. Baked oysters and clams: $ 1.50 each. Raw is better. Took about 15 min to come out. Sauce was great, sort of like scallop dynamite. Clam was too tough and chewy :( Mac and cheese: skip it. It tastes like Kraft instant mac and cheese. Will be back to try the shrimp and cajun seafood dishes! We were too full at the time but they looked sooo good!

My daughter picked this restaurant to celebrate her birthday and since it’s been bookmarked on my page for quite awhile I was looking forward to going. I arrived before everyone so I sat at the bar — the bartender who was very friendly, explained the happy hour prices $ 1 cajun wings and oysters(grilled oysters are $ 1.50) and $ 7 drinks — works for me. So I ordered five wings and the Southern Lemonade Ice tea(note that this drink was not part of the happy hour special but it’s only $ 8 so I was ok with it). The drink comes in a pouch(think adult Capri-Sun) and spiked with Soju which is a Korean liquor similar to vodka. I REALLY liked the drink — so much in fact that I ordered a second one. The wings… OMG…can you say delicious!!! Nicely fried and a wonderful crunch to them — and not overly spicy and I loved them. The bartender was nice enough to bring me one oyster to try as we had a conversation about how I have never had a raw oyster so he wanted me to try one and needless to say I was hooked. After our party arrived we were seated. This restaurant is no frills — you sit at a table with brown paper and crayons(for coloring) and you place your order of seafood by the pound. The bring you a bib, gloves and bucket for your shells. I ordered a pound of shrimp and a pound of crawfish in the garlic butter sauce with mild seasoning. The shrimp were huge(note: they come head on for those of you who are screamish) and the crawfish were a good size. I have to say though that their seasoning is not a good as The Boil but it wasn’t bad. A two pound order comes with corn and potato and I was stuffed by the time I was done. I had them bring my daughter a red velvet ice cream sandwich with a candle since it was her birthday and I have to say that ice cream sandwich was really, really good. Overall if you’re a seafood lover and don’t mind getting dirty with your food this place hits the mark. I will definitely be back for some wings and another Ice tea!

Back again for happy hour(two months later). Food still remains consistent. Drinks are still tasty and strong! The oysters seem to be getting bigger! Haha! They offer such a good deal for happy hour and it keeps me coming back for more!

My buddies and I arrived at the restaurant just minutes right before they opened up for dinner service and were one of the very first ones to get seated in the restaurant. It was a very good and amazing experience overall. Interior: Clean, Dim, Nice and Amicable Ambiance, felt very Welcoming, Benches were a bit wobbly Staff: Amicable, Easy to talk to The food from this restaurant were all well prepared and tasted fresh. We ordered some oysters, baked oysters, wings, and the Strawberry Basil Iced Tea. The oysters were delicious and seasoned well. The wings were steaming hot and the meat literally just came off the bones. The food was just simply delicious! Not to mention that the Strawberry Basil Iced Tea was just as amazing. Every sip of the Iced Tea was so refreshing! For my main entrée, I decided to go with the Lobster Roll and a side of Mac and Cheese. The Lobster Roll was nicely made and was delicious. The seasoning for the lobster was nicely made and the brioche roll was perfect. The fries that came with the Lobster Roll was seasoned well and were crunchy, to my liking. However, the Mac and Cheese wasn’t that exciting and was not that good compared to some of the other places where I’ve ordered Mac and Cheese from. But, not too bad! Overall, I liked and close to loved all of the food that I/we ordered.

Walked in Saturday evening with a party of five(no reservations). The hostess told us there was a two hour wait. We put our name on the list anyway and waited at a nearby bar. It hadn’t even been an hour yet before we got a text that our table was ready. Yay! We were seated promptly. I was surprised the prices were quite reasonable for a seafood place. My boyfriend and I shared 1lb Crawfish + 1lb Snow Crab legs. I can’t remember exact prices but more less $ 18/lb. It was accompanied by potatoes and corn on the cob. The sauce was incredibly delicious! Yes, it takes a little work to eat the crawfish but it’s all part of the experience. The cocktails come in CapriSun type packages. I love places that have something unique to offer! If you come here hungry keep in mind that crawfish alone probably won’t satisfy you. The guys were left a bit hungry. Definitely order some sides and lots of crab legs! This was a fun and memorable dining experience. I’m already planning my next visit. FYI, they have happy hour until 7:30pm Saturday nights and much later the rest of the days. Thumbs up!

Arrived late for a 7 pm reservation, but were seated immediately. My friend and I are not drinkers and I had a wickedly good ginger/lemon infused iced tea. Appetizers was fried pickles… amazing. For those who do like to imbibe, there is an impressive selection of draft and bottled beer as well as a full bar My friend had crab roll. I had the Shrimp Po Boy. Both were excellent. The fries with the Po Boy were spicy, crispy and delicious. Friend reported the crab roll was moist and fresh — good seasoning. My Shrimp Po Boy was crammed with battered and fried shrimp — good bite to the seasoning. Service was attentive but not overbearing. The server knew we were going to a show nearby and made sure our orders were out quickly and the check presented ASAP Décor is interesting. Paper roll table cloth — I would imagine a mess of shrimp or crawfish would be messy — also had crayons for doodling. Menus were on clipboards and there was a wide range of offerings. Noise level moderate to loud but no problem conversing. Lighting dim but not dark. Check arrived tucked inside a copy of Macbeth — pretty cool touch. I will definitely try this again when we have more time to check out the main entrees

I had high hopes that Claw daddy’s would live up to par to The Boil, but sadly it’s not the same. While the crawfish and shrimp we ordered were fresh, the Craw Daddy’s sauce(a combo of all sauces) was not flavorful at all. It’s all about the sauce to me when it comes to a good seafood boil. i usually get so excited licking every piece of crawfish and shrimp but this time I left unsatisfied with just bleh. The good: — RSVP accepted! I was easily able to secure a Sunday night RSVP the night before via Unilocal. — Happy Hour everyday 5 – 7:30 that includes dollar oysters! — $ 1 oysters! Did I say that already? This was my fave. So juicy and fresh — Spacious seating The bad: — extremely slow slow service. The fault is not really the waiters as I saw ours busting her ass off. But the fact is there are not enough to serve with the demand. Please hire more staff! I always had to get someone to refill our water — Adult caprisun. I ordered«Yours Truly» which had rose petals, soju, lime, champagne. It was too strong that all I can taste was soju. My Bf told me that there should be more lime. We later found out that they didn’t even have lime in stock that day! — Cajun fries… Where’s the Cajun?! It was nicely fried and crisp but absolutely no Cajun at all. Given the price point, I found the portion awfully on the smaller side. We order this in the beginning and did not received this till after finishing our boil. –The spice level. We ordered the medium but I definitely didn’t feel the heat. Unless Claw Daddy’s changing its sauce or I want them $ 1 oysters, I’m sticking to The Boil even if it means waiting hours for a good seafood boil.

I can’t help but compare Clawdaddy’s to The Boil. My bf and I both agreed that we liked The Boil’s sauce a lot better. However, Clawdaddy’s gives way more in portions. We also ordered the brussel sprouts and biscuits with gravy which were both yummy. The gravy that comes with the biscuits isn’t really gravy lol its more of a spread(I didn’t like it but my bf thought it was good). Definitely worth going in for happy hour– $ 1 raw oysters and wings! The batter on the wings was crispy and seasoned well. It was busy, so the Service was slow– we had to ask for our drinks and oysters multiple times. I really disliked the live jazz band because the space is small and the music is just overwhelming. We had to shout to each other the entire meal.

I do love a seafood boil. When I think back to Boiling Crab days in the west coast, my mouth always salivates. Spicy, buttery, garlicky goodness! I’ve been to The Boil, which I think is a decent option, though their house sauce is creamier than I’d like. Claw Daddy’s is a great option when you don’t feel like braving the wait at The Boil, especially because you can book reservations! Always a plus. However, I found it a bit lackluster. We ordered 1 lb of shrimp, 1 lb or crawfish, side of corn, spinach, and the biscuit sliders. The Claw Daddy sauce was at a medium level, which I ordered based on reviews that the heat is real – it isn’t. I regretted not ordering a spicier level. The seafood itself was… okay. The crawfish was fine, but the shrimp didn’t taste fresh. The shell was soft, and lacked the snap you usually get when peeling shrimp. And the flesh was also soft and a little spongy. The corn was good, with all the sauces picked up on the cob. The spinach was inedible – very salty, and just a pile of mush. And the biscuit sliders were disappointing. Could’ve used either a little honey, more flavorful cole slaw, hot sauce, or just a juicier cut of chicken. It was just a dry biscuit. The restaurant and the service was a plus though. I loved the setting – lively and fun. Service was friendly and I felt well attended to. Maybe it was an off night on the food. I’m open to coming back again and going for the crab.

I consider myself a lobster enthusiast. In fact, I get quite excited by pretty much all types of seafood, although inexplicably, it’s impossible to get me to eat cooked fish – but that’s another topic. I’ve been to a few seafood joints in Manhattan, and I frequent some restaurants and fish markets in Brooklyn as well. One of my favorite spots is the Red Hook Lobster Pound, especially in the warmer months of the year. Still, nothing makes me happier than picking out a lobster and preparing it myself. I’ve cooked, steamed, and grilled my own fair share of the bottom feeders – at home, over campfires, in friends’ kitchens, just about anywhere I could! In summary, when I can have lobster, I will, and doing it myself is my favorite way. Until I went to Claw Daddy’s. Last night, I went there with just two for company, and we were seated right away. The restaurant was mostly occupied without being overcrowded, although the tables were quite close together, and it took a moment to squeeze into the booth without disturbing the couple seated next to us too much. Our server was very attentive, but in an effortless way where it didn’t feel like she was lingering to prove her customer service skills. I really loved the décor. It was warm, cozy, and classy without being pretentious. I appreciated that there were some nautical themed pieces – other seafood restaurants sometimes go so far, it’s comparable to theme parks. Claw Daddy’s was decked out to make you feel laid back, and just upscale enough to feel sophisticated. The music was great! It was a fantastic mix of classic pop and hip-hop beats, with more modern tracks laid over them. It was the right volume to encourage you to dance in your seat, but not loud enough to drown out your conversation entirely. They call some of their drinks«Adult Caprisuns,» which already won points with me, but these drinks are also satisfyingly sweet and tasty! I had a lovely glass of Prosecco, but I really loved the spiked Southern Iced Tea. Appetizers came out pretty quickly. We ordered grilled oysters and clams – half a dozen each – for the table, although I’m sure I ate most of them. I thought they were really wonderful! The seasoning was awesome, and the oysters and clams were juicy and perfectly chewy. But boy, oh boy, nothing comes close to how delicious the lobster I had was. I’m a pretty Plain Jane when it comes to flavor, so I went with the water boil method for the lobster. That’s my preferred way of making it for myself, with some generous splashes of white wine. Even their most minimal seasoning was AMAZING. I have never had better lobster in my life, which was pretty much all I could say, in complete awe, as I tore through that lobster with vigor. Heaven for me would be the first bite of that lobster. Conversation at the table stopped pretty much immediately after the food was delivered to our table – all three of us were so enraptured by our food! Everything about the experience was wonderful. The meat was perfect – moist and robustly flavored. I really loved that it was just tough enough to get into the claws and other parts, because part of the fun of eating lobster for me is cracking the shell and finding the meat as a reward! I already knew my ideal diet would be lobster for all three meals everyday, but now it needs to be Claw Daddy’s lobster specifically! I cannot wait to come here again and again. I’m looking forward to being even more bold with my flavoring choices, because I am sure there is nothing on Claw Daddy’s menu that could disappoint me. Do yourself a favor and go! As my best friend texted me today, the morning after: «I still have the sensations from that lobster in my mouth.» And Claw Daddy’s is nothing short of sensational!

This is probably the first time for me having cajun food in a restaurant. My friend picked this place since it was on his Unilocal bookmark and we had a very late lunch here yesterday. We were here at around 3pm and the place was slightly empty. We took advantage of the happy hour special and each of us got the grilled oysters for $ 1.50 each — so good and I recommend for you to try. We got a half-dozen of raw oysters as well, but I didn’t try one since I’m still a bit squeamish with raw oysters. My friend also got the Louisiana Gumbo with sausage. I got tasted it and it had some good flavors and there was a spicy kick. For the Louisiana boil, we ordered 2 lbs of shrimp(it’s $ 13/lb), with the Claw Daddy Special sauce in medium level spice. If you order about 2 lbs of seafood, then you’ll also get a potato and corn with your seafood. Anyway, the shrimps were big. The sauce was good and the spicy level was fine for me. [BTW, the restaurant also provides you a bib and gloves so you don’t have to worry about getting your clothes or hands dirty.] Positive experience. Friendly and helpful staff. I enjoyed the food. I’ll come back one day to try the snow crab legs. :)

What a gem! Visited with a friend on a Friday night. We had a reservation, which was good since the place was packed, but it looked like the wait wouldn’t’ve been too bad without one. We were quickly seated and brought menus, bibs, and gloves. Nice touch. Most people around had ordered the«Louisiana boil» bags: choose your seafood, your sauce, and your add-ins. Having lived in New Orleans for a couple years and taking a hint from the restaurant’s name, I ordered the crawfish with a side of Cajun fries.(How to eat crawfish: ) The flavors were good, but the crawfish were hard to eat since they were small. It was a little early for prime crawfish season(spring-early summer), so I’ll blame that. Next time, I’d probably go with the shrimp or crab if I was visiting in the winter again. My friend got the clams and the garlic noodles, which were delicious. Definitely a spot I’d visit again. A good place to take out-of-town guests or even have a birthday dinner since there are long picnic tables, good for groups — with a reservation. Fun drinks too. The bar has TVs so you can watch«the game.»

I’m so glad that we were able to find this spot after our terrible experience at The Boil! The décor and layout of this place is super nice and spacious. We have been here a couple of times now, since our first visit and have practically tried almost everything off their menu. I do think that this is a great spot, if you are Ok with getting your hands messy with all that delicious sauce. Seafood specials with different kind of sauces are the star attraction here, also notice that the spice level of sauces is quite on point. The medium spice level is quite spicy and extremely spicy sauce will have you keep a napkin handy for your running nose :) We really like the kick and tangy flavor of sauce, which is quite unique and hard to find at other spots. Definitely recommended are their biscuit sliders, they are quite delicious. Overall, this is a great spot for seafood lovers!

Claw Daddy’s was such a fun spot to celebrate a birthday with friends. It is relaxed and the servers were funny and friendly. It was relatively quiet on a Wednesday night which was great and we made it in time for a couple of rounds of happy hour specials-don’t miss out on the $ 7 adult caprisun cocktails(they might be made with soju but they are STRONG), and $ 1 wings and oysters. Next, we donned our bibs and gloves and dove into bags of shrimp and clams and crab legs. What a feast! All the seafood was delicious and the sauces were too — the claw daddy special was my favorite but we also enjoyed the garlic. As for spice level, I love spicy food but the medium was enough heat for me! Can’t imagine going hotter. The jambalaya and brussels sprouts were excellent sides and with dessert, three rounds of drinks, a LOT of seafood, and tip and tax, everything came to $ 60 per person. I will definitely be making this a regular dinner spot and can’t wait to bring friends from out of town.

I definitely came to Claw Daddy’s expecting it to be second fiddle to the boil. I was wrong. The first thing I noticed about Daddy’s is it was much more spacious than the boil. That space is a much welcomed difference from the boil. Claw Daddy’s(for now at least) isn’t overcrowded like the boils either. I came in at about 2:30 pm on a Sunday and there were only about 3 other parties there plus some people at the bar. As much as I love the boil, the space and crowd issue was a MAJOR annoyance. Claw Daddy’s has the advantage there. An unexpected highlight of the visit was the drinks. They serve these adult capri suns. Cocktails served in a pouch like the kids drinks. I tried 2 of these drinks and they were both delicious! I also enjoyed the novelty of the whole Capri sun thing. These drinks were only about $ 7(happy hour I think). They also have a happy special for their wings. They are $ 1 per a piece. The wings are made with a Cajun dry rub, no sauce. They were very good. A lot of Cajun flavor and nice and moist inside. The wings tasted like they were made on the spot and not sitting around for hours after being par cooked. Now to the seafood. I got the shrimp/crab legs combo. The combo was about $ 31 and comes with shrimp, crab, corn and potatoes. Everything was EXCELLENT. The crabs and shrimp were large and healthy! It all tasted fresh. I got the sauce with medium heat. I thought it was a little hot for medium but still delicious. It was every bit as good as the boil if not better. EASY5 stars for Claw daddies. No missteps here. Food was excellent, service was good and they have some really good happy hour deals. It’s a bonus that there isn’t a crazy line to eat here. I love the boil but claw daddy’s will be my first choice since you don’t have to spend half your day trying to get in there
