Efficient delivery. Great tasting food and really inexpensive. This will be my go to place when I’m home not in the mood to cook. I’ve frequented this place for a few weeks now and each time I didn’t have any problems with service nor my food. That can be difficult to come by in Harlem. So I felt compelled to write an awesome review for others to frequent here as well. When they say 20 minutes for delivery they mean it. They aren’t the best English speakers but it wasn’t difficult to put in our orders. The vegetable lomein was really good, I wouldn’t recommend the chicken and broccli but the general tso’s chicken was a more delicious fit:) Enjoy!

To be honest I thought the name of this restaurant was China Wok. However it is fairly clear it is the only chinese restaurant on the block. This is my go to Harlem chinese food spot and it fulfills all of my needs. Cheap, large portions and decent quality. I think every person that is ordering chinese takeout should judge the food based on those three categories. They are cash only and the woman that is working the register is very friendly. My only complaint would be is that the triple delight is not on the combo menu. They also have a pretty steller lunch special. Super Cheap. If you are in the Harlem area I recommend this place over China 88(Across the Street).

This is your average hole-in-the-wall ghetto Chinese joint. You know, the one where you hate to actually go inside and order take-out because all you hear is, «YOWHERETHE F*&@ MYFRENCHFRIESAT?» Place is cheap, with decent food and delivery. $ 8 minimum on the delivery, no credit cards(CASHONLY!). This is the menu I keep in the back of the drawer, saying I’ll never order from these places again, but somehow I always do. The«oldie but a goodie» movie-night-alone-in delivery spot.

Well, we are still struggling with the Uptown Chinese Delivery Dilemna, but Chung Lan Garden seems to have appeased us in the interim. Stellar chinese food this is not, but a departure from the last two places we ordered from(Jing Hui and Good Taster) whereupon tasting the food, I literally closed the containers and threw the entire mess in the garbage. I was pretty sure I didn’t order the cat in MSG sauce or the fried pigeon dumplings. Blech. Chung Lan Garden brought us straightforward cuisine — edible but not inspiring. Roast Pork over Noodle Soup didn’t really taste like much of anything, but the Fried Wontons and Egg Roll were tasty enough, if a little oily. The Sauteed String Beans were not bad — would benefit from a little spice, so I will probably order them spicy next time. I would certainly order from them again given that the options for edible(not even good, but just edible) Chinese food in Harlem has been a chore in and of itself.

«You may feel strange that I gave a Chinese fast food restaurant such a high rating. However, besides all the ordinary fast food menu, their cookers can make easy dish as you order. I love eggs so much so I am not satisfied by only Egg Foo Young. So I made order of «Szechuan stir-fried Eggs«(Hot & Spicy), «Hunan stir-fried Eggs»(Spicy & Sweet) and«Curry stir-fried Eggs»(a little weird). Among these, I love the«Szechuan stir-fried Eggs«so much that I gave it the title as «the BESTEGG Dish I have ever tried in Chinese Restaurant in New York.» I also recommend their Chef’s Special«Lake Tung Ting Shrimp» with egg white and my roommate would recommend«Deluxe Beef Noodle Soup». The only flaw is that the chef often use too much oil so I have to restrict myself from eating too often there.» Another flaw may be the environment, so it would be better and safer if you order delivery.(However, I always picked up at their restaurant in order to see the handsome waiter. ^_^)
