Yuck, Most bland piece of chicken ever and of gross parts. It looked like a chickens spine was part of the piece they gave me when I ordered ¼ rotisserie chicken($ 6) And the tomato sauce was gross. I went home and mixed sriracha and ketchup to eat the bland chicken with.

They have the best chicken — well done, yet juicy. Good value for your money too. I walk about 14 blocks from my job to grab lunch here and it is so worth it!

My wife and I got really sick from their ribs and chicken fingers. We had to go to the ER because of salmonella poisoning. Disgusting. Won’t be ordering from here again.

I was hungry and wanted a quick, cheap lunch. This place suited that need. I had the chicken gyro. The chicken was a bit dry, but not bad. Maybe I’m spoiled by the gyros in Astoria, but I wasn’t wowed by it. I would have liked a bit more meat(even if slightly dry) and less lettuce. The white sauce wasn’t bad. I thought the service was okay. Granted, it was a Sunday and the place wasn’t crowded, but my gyro arrived a few minutes after my order. Other reviews cited the attitude of the people there, but the woman who took my order wasn’t rude or surly. I guess if I am in the area and want a quickie lunch, I will go here again. If I really have an urge for a gyro or souvlaki, however, I think I’ll wait until I am back in my neighborhood.

It’s basically a fast food rotisserie chicken chain. It’s a little pricier than other fast food restaurants, but you do get something healthier. If you order the lunch special, as I did, with the ¼ rotisserie chicken it comes out to under $ 10 before tax. You get a fresh salad, a side, pita bread, your chicken, and a canned soda or water. Overall, it’s a good deal and you will be full after this. They have other options running into the $ 15 – 20 range. The place is clean and the service is fine.

I wouldn’t order, eat or give«this«CC one star, 1 dollar. They are rude, over 1 hour waiting for a delivery that never showed… they simple«lost» my order…

This food is not great. I ordered grilled chicken BBQ and got sliced grilled chicken and not even a full(salad dressing take out size) tiny cup of BBQ sauce? Since when is that BBQ chicken? Over rice? Cheap no veggies. Pita bread? Like cheap stuff all carbs. Delivery was quick but not impressed.

Food is fantastic! But the staff SUCKS!!! Always an attitude, always missing something And always have something to say! I don’t know who or how they recruit their employees but they definitely should change their technique! This the worst place for that, and there is dozen more like this in the city! But this one win! Go definitely for the food! But go for pickup don’t ask for a delivery!

This is the kind of place to go for takeout after a tiresome day at work. The rotisserie chicken is really tasty and juicy, nicely browned and seasoned skin. My go to sides are the mashed potatoes or rice. Mac n cheese is meh, kinda gross actually so avoid. I also enjoy the greek salad with grilled chicken. Big portion of well seasoned grilled chicken atop a bed of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, onion, peppers, feta and grape leaves. Comes with pita, but make sure you order a small side of tziki sauce cause it doesn’t come with but it goes nicely with the salad. The chicken and rice soup is quite good.

Must say a bit skeptical but used seamless to order a burger and was delightfully surprised and the price was awesome as well. Actually all of their sandwiches are good and come with a lot of chicken or beef. The chicken soulsvaki was excellent and ordered it many times. Give this place a definite try. A great addition to the UWS.

Chirping chicken’s food is nothing spectacular per say(good but not amazing), but for their prices and lunch specials they are pretty damn good. I have like 2 meals off their lunch special at least. With that, chirping chicken is definitely a good place when you want a good cheap dinner/lunch. Oh, and fast and friendly delivery.

Got a delivery from seamless, which was really quick. My boyfriend got two 12 piece buffalo wings and I got ¼ roasted chicken. I liked his chicken more than mine. The buffalo wings are not normal wings AKA covered in sauce wings, but fried and slightly spicy. The exterior of the buffalo wings had a nice, thick crunch to it. I totally would order them again. It’s $ 10.95 for a dozen of those. The roast chicken, on the other hand, was pretty normal. The skin is cooked perfectly and can be easily peeled off if you don’t usually eat it. The meat is kind of boring and tasteless, but really moist. They provide you with really vinegary hot sauce that you can use to dip the roasted chicken in. It provides the chicken with some flavor. I think ketchup would have been a better condiment. Next time, I’m going for the buffalo wings and perhaps a more interesting dipping sauce than the usual hot. Also note that their prices are REALLY good for the UES. Decent meal for an okay price! Approximately $ 25 for a two person meal delivery.

People have to stop rating this compared to even a 3 or 4 star restaurant, and rating restaurants compared to what their market is. This is not where you take a girl on a date as a romantic excursion. It’s a place where you grab food after a long day at work, or a long night of partying. As an establishment that’s supposed to be slightly better than KFC it’s very good. There are also HEALTHYOPTIONS available. The grilled chicken is boss, there are mixed veggies. KFC’s in the city normally don’t even have the grilled option. You get a ton of food for not that much money, even at dinner. No, service isn’t nice. It’s fast food. The people taking your order are working for minimum wage. What do you think your life is like in NYC working a minimum wage job? I’m sure these people have to deal with a lot of garbage. Additionally, most of the business is flowing through online ordering. They’re not unpleasant — just not particularly friendly. If you want friendly service, budget your finances to attend places where service makes 30k a year at a minimum. The ribs are very good.

The bottom line about Chirping Chicken in terms of their food, is that it is really delicious and their prices are great. If you get the quarter chicken combo, you are in and out QUICK. If you live on the upper east side, this is a quick and cheap bite to eat. But, if you’d like any sort of friendly customer service experience, this is the last place you want to eat. After being a faithful customer for the last half year, I am sad to say I am probably not going back to eat here ever again or at least not for a very long time. Just so you know, I have a log of at least 20 times I have ordered from them through Seamless, so I have been here quite a lot and the’ve seen me come into their place on a weekly basis. The workers have seen my face more than once and they know I work for the hospital and that I receive a hospital discount regularly with them. Been doing this since April. My last visit I ordered a quarter chicken combo meal, with all my sides and then proceeded to tell one of the Latina female cashiers that I also wanted to order two frozen yogurts. Before I could even finish, she cut me off without waiting until I finished and asked, «what kind of salad dressing» in a direct, annoyed, and unapologetic tone. No «sorry, what kind of dressing would you like?» Just straight up rude and had an annoyed face like I should have known to mention the dressing and it’s such a bother for her to ask. Her facial expression and body language said to me, «stop ordering more food. I don’t want to take more of your order.» I handed her my credit card and my hospital ID was right underneath it so she would know I’m a hospital employee. I sat down to wait after a rude experience, but then noticed she didn’t take off a percentage for my hospital discount. I spoke with another Latina cashier(they are both there all the time if you ever go on a regular basis), and she apologized and said she would give it to me next time. I asked, «Can’t you just return this and re-ring me with the discount?» «No, we’ll get you next time.» «So, the next time will I get two discounts since you didn’t give it to me this time?» «No, sorry our manager told us we can’t do that. We just have to cancel your order then.» «Why can’t you just return my order and then re-ring me with my discount again?» «The hospital never does it this way. We never do this with hospital people.» Then she proceeds to say, «you should show your ID higher so we can see.» «I did. I showed it to her(other cashier), but she was really rude and didn’t see» «Can I just cancel the order and then you re-ring it again?» The cashier was annoyed and pennies out $ 1.30 and gives it to me. No eye contact, no apologetic tone, just annoyed the whole time. Continues to say, «you know the hospital doesn’t do it like this. Next time you need to show your ID.» Meanwhile, she wasn’t even the cashier that saw the interaction and immediately assumes I didn’t show her my ID. Granted, I had it low and under my credit card, but if she wasn’t so rude and actually paid attention, she’d probably realize I’ve been there a million times before and maybe would have seen my ID. «I have been here many times and you’ve seen me before. You know I work for the hospital» She motioned me towards the bag of food by the cash register and then went to the frozen yogurt section to get me my two frozen yogurts. «You know, I come here all the time. You don’t need to be disrespectful and rude to me. I’m a regular patron that is here a lot.» I was really agitated at this point. «You’re not listening to me. You haven’t even heard what I have to say. I’m a pretty nice guy… why do you have to be so rude and disrespectful?» Not once does she apologize, not once does she try to recognize I’m a regular paying patron, nothing. She then says, «have a nice day.» I grabbed the food, then just turned and walked away. The attitude, the tone, the disrespectful attitude, complete lack of caring what I’m talking about or trying to say, the nonsensical return and re-ring process, and blaming me for not showing me ID, and basically saying«oh well. Our bad. Better luck next time,» makes me want to give them a negative rating if Unilocal would allow you too. Poor business practice, poor customer service skills, and poor attention to people or detail. Have an attitude check and turn those attitudes around if you want to have continual business. You are eventually going to lose customers because the food will not be worth the poor service.

Chirping Chicken is a nice addition to the UES. Interestingly enough, this is a Greek establishment. A lot of the sides are Greek — greek salad, lemon potatoes, feta cheese pie. The chicken and ribs are delicious(the UES needed a good rib place). The french fries are good and salty. The(feta) cheese pie was really good. The rice and beans were good and the lemon potatoes were delicious. I would definitely order from them again.
