First of these delivery mexicans are very rude i wouldn’t recommend ordering a delivery from them, best to call and pick up. I will start a protest against this spot tell all my friends in the area to not eat here unless they change these delivery men, calling me names in spanish thinking i don’t understand them. Cursing through the phone saying the F word.

I ordered from China Taste through Grubhub. I picked up my order and as I walked towards the restaurant I saw their C rating! I immediately thought the nastiest of things going on behind the kitchen and contemplated canceling my order. Unfortunately, my bf was starving and got annoyed when I mentioned the thought, so I said fine I’ll deal with it this time only. I got there within 25 minutes of when I placed the order, and it was ready. However, their menu on grubhub says the General tso’s chicken combo is $ 9.25 and General Tso’s chicken specialty is $ 12.60, and it says the latter is white meat. I got both since my bf prefers the dark meat, whereas I prefer the white. I thought the price difference was because of dark meat vs white meat. I was wrong! Both orders came completely the same, although I was charged different prices. They were actually both white meat. Apparently the restaurant only uses ‘white meat’, so why mislead people with their menu? Anyway, their white meat was soggy and not good at all. I ate a third of the meal. I was looking to write a review on grubhub, but grubhub doesnt even give customers the option of writing reviews anymore since they’ve removed the review button from their app. With that said, this place had great reviews, but they were probably all old! Never eating from here again!

I work in the UES and thts why I order from China Taste. I have ordered here for the past year and a half. That being said I love the food here, its super cheap, always delivered hot and fast! I get different lunch specials with wonton soup and fried rice. It never fails to fulfill my chinese food craving!

First of all it’s the worst Chinese«American» food on the Upper East Side. They should close up shop on how gross the food is. Never again

I order take out from here all the time. It seems to be one of the best places for the traditional american chinese taste ive been looking for. Hasn’t disappointed me yet… Also very affordable and quick delivery. I find the food to be very flavorful, and they give great portions for the price! Boneless spare ribs are my fave!!!

This restaurant is a takeout home run. If you want basic chinese that’s reasonably priced but good quality, order from here. Really like the chicken dishes and rice.

This is my regular«order online and deliver» place for Chinese. Good size portions, consistent, decent quality. I particularly enjoy their scallion pancakes, very nicely done. I’ve had General Tso’s chicken, chicken in a curry, garlic chicken– all were nicely done, and almost always have some leftovers. Love the convenience of ordering direct on their website. Good value good quality.

I used to get Chinese takeout a lot from this place. The food was pretty standard and a great price. I recently found a small black BIRDFEATHER in my hot and sour soup. The restaurants response to this was ‘there are no birds in our restaurant’. That was precisely my concern. Where did the birds feather come from. Also the only type of bird I can think of that would have a short black feather in Manhattan would be a Pigeon. They are vermin that can carry all types of horrific diseases. I don’t care how cheap the food is. No one should ever have to suffer the horror of pulling a birds feather out of your mouth.

My go-to Chinese delivery. We normally order the General Tso’s chicken, the Szechuan beef, and lo mein, and it’s great every time. I’ve never been to the restaurant itself, but the delivery is always fast and reliable.

We ordered Mapo Tofu and fried eggplant. Mapo tofu was made of silken tofu and some vegetables like carrot and green pea in black bean sauce. Tofu was flesh and silken. The sauce was OK but a little too sweet for me. The quantity was very generous. The eggplant was well cooked with a tasty sauce this time. Last time we ordered the eggplant, I was disappointed because the eggplant was cooked almost like raw. we ordered some other dishes like mixed vegetable or some seafood previously. They were mostly OK. I always asked them for delivery. They are usually fast and kind. The price in general are cheaper than other Chinese restaurants. I give them five star because I like their Tofu dish.

I feel used after a $ 30 all you can eat sushi and saki turned into $ 45 after«surcharges» — no value at all. The sushi and saki were low quality obviously. And be aware that there’s no opting out of the unlimited sushi/saki if other people at your table are doing it. …Think of all of the NYC deliciousness I could have had with $ 45… :(

Just had an AWFUL experience with their RIDICULOUS portion sizes. Cutting to the quick… NEVER ordering from here again. The food is decent at best. Certainly, it is not remarkable compared to any other on the UES but… I am a regular orderer of steamed shrimp and broccoli. I normally have it delivered from any one of a number of places and for $ 11 – 14, I get a decent portion of broccoli and ATLEAST six jumbo shrimp, occasionally eight. Tonight I got FOUR. Not a shareable portion for two adults at all. When I called to ask if this was in error, I got a paper thin explanation and a cold shoulder. With MEDIOCRE food, who needs a less than reasonable portion. NEVERAGAINCHINATASTE… YOUJUSTAIN’T ALLTHAT!!!

EATHERE!!! The food is good for the price. They accommodate special diets and remember customers orders and preferences. Looks like a small family run business.

Go here only if you want to risk horrible, horrible food poisoning. I should have known from their absolute don’t-give-a-shit attitude the quality of the food wasn’t going to be high, and it wasn’t, from both a taste and hygienic perspective. I had a subpar-flavored shrimp with garlic sauce and within about three hours the trials began. 102 F fever for two days in a row, hallucinations, vomiting everywhere, sleeplessness… I was about to go to the emergency room but instead called my father, a doctor, who paid me an after-hours visit at the end of the second day of the ordeal. He called two infectious disease experts he knew and they all concluded I had severe Campylobacter poisoning. Look it up, it’s no joke. A couple of Cipro antibiotics later, I was holding down saltines with only a 99 F fever, and the worst was behind me. Never. Ever. EVER again. Ever.

Pretty basic as far as Chinese food goes. It’s a typical take out restaurant that you can find in various boroughs of NYC. However, the food is better than most take out spots. I went with the basic order of chicken and broccoli and a spring roll. The spring roll was pretty standard and nothing special, but the chicken and broccoli was better than average. Again, nothing spectacular, but definitely better than average. This place also delivers so it’s a good place to get some Chinese food delivered if you’re in the mood for it. There are some other Chinese places in the area that are actual restaurants, so I’m curious to try those and form a comparative opinion.

Got out of work early today for the holiday weekend and wanted to grab a quick lunch on the way home and remembered this little Chinese place that opened up not too long ago in my hood. Let’s be real — it’s a spot for«Americanized Chinese food» and know that as you go in. No tables or chairs and just some counter seating against one wall. Standard quickie Chinese menu with all the standards on it. The place is really set up for take-out or delivery. What the heck. It was empty so I decided to stay there and wolf down my lunch. Their list of lunch specials run until 4pm. For $ 6 I had chicken and mixed veggies with brown rice and a can of diet soda. Always get it steamed with the brown sauce on the side, otherwise it’s just a plate full of fattening oily caloric glop. My plate was made fresh and tasted decent with just a little sauce used. Nothing mind blowing here but a solid cheap fake Chinese meal. I have heard they do a pretty quick delivery here too.
