Love the ambience and the vibe, but I came here last night and got some sort of food poisoning from the food. The food came out so fast after ordering, it’s definitely not fresh.

I used to come here all the time! They have a great night life and DJ. Their drinks are very strong, but you pay a lot of money them, so it’s worth it. I came here last tuesday and got a burrito and ate outside. The burrito was just alright… nothing to write home about. As I recall, most of the food was just okay. But I would definitely come back here at night for music and drinks.

I love this place, only because I know what to expect each time coming here. Subpar service, unlimited chips and salsa and some really awesome(slightly expensive) frozen margaritas!!! This isn’t gourmet Mexican food by any means, but at the end of a long day it’s perfect!!!

BUMPCINCODEMAYO — It’s all about the SEIS!!! I came here for a Happy Hour the day after Cinco de Mayo to celebrate my Mexican Heritage! I don’t have the Birth Certificate but I had the drinks and Guacamole to prove it!!! The margaritas came with rocks or frozen and were $ 7 each… Happy Hour was until 8 pm which included a pretty good array of drinks and appetizers for $ 7/each… The place was super crowded which partly could’ve been from the rain outside and noisy but when you drinking you tend to speak up! The margarita’s hit the spot, the best one to me was the Miami Vice, lol it distracted me from it’s alcohol content! The guacamole was addictive and sooo delicious — it makes you sad when it’s all done, almost like you have a dipping problem… And we were even adventurous and went off happy hour menu and ordered 10 wings — which I will not do ever again. They weren’t nasty but $ 20 for 10 wings — the Brooklyn in me cried just a little bit… The service wasn’t the best but it was crowded so whatever… big set back is that in that big place there’s only two small bathrooms that’s for employees and patrons!!! So it would probably be best if you go jump on that bathroom line before the urge gets too intense, at least then you’ll have the will for the tight wait against wall — and you’ll probably make a friend or two!

My friends and I came from happy hour and had a good time. There is a selection of happy hour drinks for $ 5. Happy hour is until 7. We ordered guac and wings. They were all pretty good and came out quickly. The waiter was pretty attentive and we got all our drinks in. Can’t comment much on the real food as we didn’t have any. The $ 5 drinks did their job.

Horrible horrible horrible!!! Bad service, loud, ordered a beef burrito which turned out to be a rice sandwich… sent it back twice… still can’t find the meat. Will not be back!

I usually come here every other week on a weekday. Their sangrias and mojitos aren’t that great. Margaritas are okay. I give them five stars because of their service and food. I work around the area and when I want to have a quick bite, Caliente Cab it is!

Landed in this establishment after our first option was way too packed. It was a fun looking Mexican eatery, and we were drawn in by the cheap drinks. The mini margarita was only $ 5 and it was strong! I ordered the mini tacos. It was a good portion of food, with great spicy and savory flavor. The hot sauce they provide adds an additional kick. While it was good, it wasn’t great. I would return again for drinks, but maybe skip the food.

We came to celebrate #nationalmargaritaday and went in and was told the wait would be about 25mins which was great because me and my group had gone over to two other places and the wait was an 1 – 2 hour wait(ridiculous). We were seated and water was brought to our table right away. But it took almost 10−20mins for a waiter to come by and take our order and drinks. Sadly a lot of the flavor for frozen margaritas were out So I tried a raspberry margarita which was 5 stars. It was really good. For my entrée I ordered what’s called a «Mission» burrito and it was delicious. It was really seasoned well and it was so filling and cheesy(which I loved). Overall the experience was good. The food and drinks really good. I would definitely be returning.

Came in here with a friend after a night at the movies. We were seated right away, but it took a little time for our waiter to come by. We ordered our drinks, guacamole, and meals. I had the enchiladas verdes and my friend got the taco salad. The guacamole was very good, but a huge portion for us. We ordered guac for 2 and it could’ve fed 4. My enchilades though were just Ok. The rice and beans weren’t very good and the enchiladas were more like tortillas wrapped around large pieces of chicken. Definitely not worth the price. Atmosphere was pretty good. We sat outside, as it was a beautiful night. The inside is small and dark, but i’m sure makes for a decent ambiance. Service wasn’t great. Our waiter was pretty unfriendly and didn’t come by a lot. Our water was also never refilled. Overall, not worth it. There are a lot of really great and inexpensive Mexican restaurants around the city, so i’ll be going to one of those.

Went last week and was really taken aback by their lack of booze. Every time I ordered a drink I was met with«we don’t have anymore ___________.» So the manager comes over to explain that something was going on with their booze distributor and they were running out of everything. Okay. If I owned a restaurant that was half bar, and I was running out of booze on a Friday night, I would take my credit card to the nearest liquor store and buy a bunch of staples to help get me through. Besides, «managing» kind of entails doing what you need to do to make sure the place is stocked and running smoothly, so I wonder what’s going on there. She wasn’t even apologetic, didn’t take an appetizer off, nothing. I suppose it’s a chain so maybe she doesn’t have a lot in the way of power. In any case, I’m turned off by this place now. We did order some mix of appetizers and I thought it was greasy/fatty but very tasty.

This was the first Caliente Cab Company I tried for lunch. I was with my daughter. We were in the mood for burritos. We heard through some friends it was pretty good. The first time we went we were really pleased. Service was fast and friendly. The food tasted fresh and was served hot. Any special requests were as we ordered. We had deserts that were great. I can’t remember what the desert was but I left saying I would definitely return. Now time passes… I return a couple times and each time the portion size and quality are deteriorating. On top of that the wear and tear at this location created a less than desirable atmosphere. The food came out cold, the refried ice cream was some ice cream balls rolled in coconut and thrown on a plate. Not appealing to look at or anything special. Overpriced for service and quality. If they have improved please let me know. It’s been a couple years. I haven’t been back. If you want the Caliente Cab Company experience go to the West Village!

The Food isn’t that great, but the drinks are really good. My boyfriend and I love the margaritas. We usually go on weekdays, not a lot of people and friendly service. It gets really crowded on the weekends. Great place to go if your in the mood for frozen margaritas and guacamole.

When it’s nice out I would come here for a drink on their large outdoor patio but that’s about it. If you order a margarita at the bar it’s $ 5 but at a table it’s 12… what? Don’t bother getting the food. It’s pretty bad.

You definitely know what you’re getting into when you walk into this place but it was still worse than I expected. The only time I’d been here before, a happy hour was advertised on a sign outside and I ordered a margarita while sitting on the patio. Turns out if you order a margarita not at the bar, it is not on happy hour and is extremely overpriced. It was good though. I recently ate dinner here and ordered the veggie enchiladas. The enchilada sauce tasted like vegetable soup, which was weird and off-putting. This is one of those places that uses bagged mixed frozen veggies, so carrots, green beans, etc. Everything was salty. Ordered bottled beer, drank it, looked at the bottle and realized it expired in June. Not great. Over priced, bad food, very loud if you sit inside.

I came with a large group on a Friday evening and I was pretty sure they didn’t want to accommodate us, so we ended up leaving and going to another bar. There is a bar in the back, but it’s not really a bar where you end up socializing because it’s too bright. It’s a combination of a bar and restaurant, and the two areas really aren’t separated enough, so you don’t quite feel like you’re at a bar.

Awesome margaritas!!! This is the spot to unwind after a long day at work. For $ 14 you get a tall margarita glass and they have different flavors such as mango, passion fruit coconut, regular, guava etc. A very chill spot to enjoy some mexican drinks and fare. Definitely try Caliente Cab!!!

Okay so I was searching for the«perfect margarita» around the Murray Hill area and I happened to come across the Caliente Cab Co. I was hesitant to come in because it seemed pretty empty for an 8:00pm on a Thursday night. I soon got over that because I was desperately wanting a margarita. I took a seat at the bar and the bartender came right over to me, handed me a menu, and informed me that they were known for their margaritas. Immediately, I fell in love. Funny enough, my first drink was not a margarita but a Frozen Bandera which is made to look like the Mexican flag. I felt like I was obligated to order it because the only other people at the bar were drinking them. It was one of the best decisions I’ve made to-date. It was the perfect amount of alcohol and sweetness to get you to the«buzzed» state(or if you’re a lightweight– drunk). After I finished the Bandera, I moved to the Dos XX Margarita and it was filled with tequila. My first reaction to when it arrived in front of me was«what the hell did I just order» followed by «you’re going to have to carry me home.» Don’t get me wrong, I’m a big dude and I can handle my alcohol but this put me over the edge. I was definitely all red and giggly by the time I walked out of there. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great frozen drinks at a decent price. P. S. The complimentary chips and salsa were an added bonus to my alcoholic beverage!

Need a quick Mexi style after work spot that is conveniently located in Manhattan, this is the spot. Nothing really special or bad about this spot. The service is ok and the food is ok. I’ve tried the fresh guacamole and it was passable based on others I’ve tried and being an avocado lover. This spot is mainly known for its frozen margaritas which comes in their special glass which is cool. My favorite is the Mango frozen and the Miami Vice is ok. My personal experience is when you get mixed flavors it tends to be weaker so I stick with one flavor. I personally think they could make them a bit stronger. From a menu perspective they have tons of different Mexi type food, wings and other American style food so good for different palettes. Again this is a cool spot to host a few friends, sit outside on a nice day & sip on a frozen or traditional margarita. I’m giving this spot a 3 since I can’t say I’ve had a bad experience nor really a good one so very neutral view from me. FYI — They have 2 unisex bathrooms so be prepared to wait gentlemen if it’s busy.

This place isnt what it used to be anymore. The food doesn’t have any type of Latino seasoning in it and they served me artificial calamari mehhhh. its over priced. The best part are the tall margarita drinks and their dessert. The service is ehh. This place has changed for the worst. What happened Caliente?
