This is a glorified French elementary school cafeteria. Rushing waiters, glass breaking, doors swinging. Unkempt bathroom, hair in my salad, still charged me. Lamb not fresh, fish was fishy. Chicken«stuffed with ham and swiss»…sliver of ham, little bit of cheese, dry chicken. 20 minute wait for entrée’s, we had to run to the theater. One of the worst meals I have ever had. One star for the host and coat check who had good customer service skills.

This is our go-to spot for dinner before the theater! The old-world style and great food is reliable and quaint. My favorite is the French onion soup and a lamb burger. Fries to die for, too.

Why is there such a dearth of good pre-theater restaurants in Midtown? I went here last night before going to see Noises Off and it just underwhelmed. With its French Bistro décor, that has seen better days, and seemingly lost soul and non-New Yorker clientele, Café Un Deux Trois was felt like a harsh hangover of a dining experience. The food wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t anything special, very basic, and overpriced for what it was. I split a chicken Caesar salad and the hamburger with my dinner companion and were underwhelmed. The one redeeming item was the chocolate mousse for dessert, but it was pretty basic chocolate mousse pudding and when chocolate is in something, I am usually bound to like it.

Major disappointment. We came to this place hoping for delicious crepes and desserts and everything we ordered was less than mediocre. The service was underwhelming(and it was not that busy, we sat at the bar) and the crowd was kind of stuck up. The place inside was beautiful, very reminiscent of a restaurant you would find near the louvre in France, but the food was not even close to being good. When we left, the owner(the server pointed him out earlier) was talking to a waiter near the door and when I smiled, didn’t return the smile, or say thank you for coming in, or have a good night… he just ignored us. Kind of weird.

Oh my. Run– do not walk– here, and order the crêpe Normande and the French toast and split them with someone you love. Absolute perfection on a plate. Service was wonderful as well as the room– from the crystal chandeliers to the old mosaic floor.

Went for brunch. Because it is a very big space, it is very comfortable there. I ordered the 2 eggs with toast. Wasn’t amazing but it wasn’t bad. Nice décor and I can see it getting busy. Nice servers but just nothing special.

The food was mediocre at best! Pancakes with bacon… Bacon was burnt and inedible. Breakfast sandwich again just mediocre. Potatoes were greasy and cold. Coffee wasn’t hot and tasted watered down. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!

I’ve eaten here twice in the last 6 weeks, once with work and once with girlfriends. A very enjoyable experience both times. Excellent crepes, good wine selection, great service, pretty room. I will definitely be back!

Best French Toast ever! It has a corn fake crust that makes it crispy. So good you don’t need the syrup!

There were 9 of us on a Sunday having brunch and going to a show at 3pm. I was worried some of the other reviews said it was slow but we had a great time here. The service was excellent and the food was very good. A bunch of us had burgers and they came with plenty of fries. We also had a bunch of drinks and my Bloody Mary was nice. They also kept the water bottles full at the table along with baskets of nice bread. It was a nice crowd for Sunday brunch and you should enjoy it.

Food was edible but portions were small for the price. Service was lacking. I asked for half and half for coffee and never received it, water was never refilled. Table next to us arrived ten minutes before the end of breakfast and were refused. Don’t waste your money…

Café Un Deux Trois beckoned us from the street. It looked dreamy — all festively decorated for Christmas — and it wasn’t that crowded late at night so we could actually enjoy a drink at the bar and hear each other speak. The clientele is a bit older here and seems maybe a bit touristy since this is right by Times Square and nearby hotels. We only had drinks at the bar, so I can’t comment on the food. Bartender was a little standoffish when he didn’t need to be, my friend was just trying to be friendly. An older gentleman(the owner or the manager) stopped by to make sure we were having a good time and that was sweet! So the inside was as dreamy as it looked from the outside and reminded me of a French café I visited in Paris. I will have to come back and try the food so I can update my review.

We stopped in for breakfast on a reservation. It took the waiter 10 minutes to get to us. After placing our orders, web Waited 45 min for cold food. Eggs, bacon, and toast really shouldn’t take so long. Manager unapologetic; gave excuses that they were busy. Of course it’s the weekend before Christmas! One would think they’d be prepared for this! Sent food back. Came back cold again. Sigh. The waiter didn’t check if it was better so I ate the food cold since we had to get back to the hotel. While we were sitting there waiting, The kitchen staff hauled out bin after bin of trash through the door into the dining area. Pretty disgusting to watch. Mediocre expensive food and bad service with management who obviously could not care less. Do not go here!

I came with my family for lunch before going to see the Rockettee. This looked like a cute festive place and we had high expectations. When our food came my aunt only received the salad that came with her quiche. We waited for her quiche to come but after a while the rest of the table started to eat their food. We asked our waiter where her quiche was twice and by the third time we just gave up. I mean, who wants their food after everyone else has already eaten. Not only was our waiter unapologetic and didn’t take the $ 10 house salad off the bill that came with the quiche, but when we asked to speak to the manager she kept saying how the kitchen was backed up. It’s a quiche, not a gourmet meal. You’re a restaurant, the least you should be able to do is bring out food. We would have been fine if they had just been kind about it. Won’t be going there agin. Warned those going in it was a bad choice. They turned around.

Great place just off of Times Square. Lovely crepes and a wicked bagel, creamed cheese and lox. This is a delightful and very large space next to Times Square. Go for a great breakfast, lunch, or dinner! You won’t be disappointed.

Despite its enormous size, Un Deux Trois has always been a reliable place to go when I find myself in Midtown with an appetite. However, my most recent experience there was not at all good. The place was almost empty(around 11:30 am) when we arrived and were seated at a small, discouraging table. In a hurry, my wife ordered the Caesar salad; I ordered the steak sandwich, medium-rare. I asked for Gruyère on my sandwich, and the waiter clearly had no idea what I was talking about. Despite its French name, Un Deux Trois isn’t really French. So I asked for Swiss cheese and the waiter said they only had cheddar. The food arrived. The Caesar was pretty tasteless. But the steak sandwich never should have left the kitchen. The first thing I notice is two slices of cold unmelted«cheese» added at the last minute between bread and meat. So unappetizing I removed them, revealing two completely different pieces of meat on the sandwich halves. One half had a super-skinny piece of so-so flank and the other half was gristly and raw. My local food cart does a much better job for five bucks! Being in a hurry, I ate the flank and ordered a Tarte Tatin dessert. Even that sucked, and the coffee was cold and old. The waiter had to have noticed we hardly ate, but he never said a word. I guess that’s not unusual for Un Deux Trois.

Expensive for breakfast, but it is NYC and it is a fancy restaurant. It was good. It was not amazingly good. I think if you want to meet with someone to talk about work, or a date it is worth it. The service was so so, the waitress was not amenable.

Nice, quiet place for a weekday breakfast! Met a business colleague here on a Tuesday morning at 7:30. All the staff I interacted with were kind and friendly. Coffee was a touch burnt, but not terrible. The vanilla cornflake-crusted French toast was absolutely amazing! Best French toast I’ve had in years. The accompanying fresh fruit was just that… fresh and delicious. This place is a gem for breakfast in the heart of Midtown.

C’est comme ci comme ca. i’m picky with my French food, and I would say that Un Deux Trois is just okay. French food is just a difficult cuisine, and can come out tasting simply overly buttery or lacking flavor. Un Deux Trois attempts to meet decent standards, but somehow falls short every time.
