If you’re reading this… It’s not too late to head to Brooklyn Roasting Company There are plenty of overpriced coffee shops in Flatiron, BRC is not one of them. Got a latte and a huge Dough donut for $ 7. The latte wasn’t as sweet as other latters, has a bitter sippy taste to it but that was perfect because the sweet cakey donut balanced out the bitterness.

Very disappointing compared to their shop in DUMBO. Service wasn’t friendly, and my drink(cortado) was not well made – thought the shot was too long. At least their was wi-fi and plenty of seating. Also glad to see they serve cold brew on nitro, even if they are pouring it incorrectly [from what I saw].

I don’t have much to say about this place. I came here for coffee and as a fan of cold brew I decided to try it out here. They have nitro infused cold brew. I’ve had this before and thought it was great. Not here. It tastes too much like a chemical than it should. Like the coffee was burnt perhaps. I’m not sure. The pastries look fine but I can’t comment as I’ve not had any. They sell dough doughnuts so they got that going for them. But if you want dough donuts, just goto their location on 19th street. They will be fresher as they are on rotation faster from people buying them more often. The only reason I would consider myself coming back is to try their lattes or espresso and enjoy their really nice big space. They have a cool table that was a roulette table with a working wheel. Despite that I feel like the space is too empty. There could be more seating perhaps. Like the roulette table could have fit 8 or even 10 stools but there’s only 6 right now. In any case. I’ll come back and try the latte and update my review if it’s any good. Cheers.

LOVE how close this awesome quality coffee is to my office. Is super lovely to drop by here to get a cup of coffee before a walk around Madison Square park whenever I can take a break!

5-Star coffee shop criteria — good coffee, free wifi, numerous outlets, ample seating, and clean restrooms BRC has all of the above. The coffee is strong and the pastries by Dough(*drool*) are irresistible. The music is also just the right style for concentrating on work or accompanying a casual conversation.

Nice, open seating area, clean bathroom with nice-smelling soap, great music selection, SOLid latte(def one of the best I’ve had), dreamy doughnut from dough(and other pastries that looked delish) — can’t ask for more! Did not use the store wifi(flatiron area had free wifi that my laptop connected to) so can’t attest to the wifi quality, but the ambience is perfect for working or catching up with friend or group works. And did I mention their latte? 5 stars through and through(:

I stopped in for a quick espresso before heading home. They’re right near the 23rd St. PATH staton and very convenient. The espresso was just perfect. They swirled the froth in a nice design and it tasted superb. Next time I’ll have a regular coffee or another espresso.

I walked by here on a Sunday afternoon craving a mocha lattee… I go to the counter and order one to fufill my craving. They call my name and I go to taste it… but it is just a regular lattee. I turned around and went back to the counter and being the friendly person that I am said sorry maybe they didnt hear me right but i wanted a mocha lattee? The girl gave me such attitude as if I was wrong? And then took some chocolate syup and dumped it in as I was still holding the cup. Ok fine, but when I finally went to drink it, it hardly tasted mocha and was cold. Maybe it was just an off day considering such good reviews but, will no tbe back here any time soon.

Interesting spot in Chelsea. My opinion? Gooooood quality coffee, good service, good taste, good space for working whatever I want without being interrupted. ONLY concern? nah I will be back and buy some coffee beans.

The people that work here are really nice! It was definitely one of the better interactions I’ve had at a local coffee shop. Some places are pretty indifferent to their customers but they seemed like they cared a lot. I got a decaf mocha and it was pretty good. Very strong aftertaste for the espresso(but not in a bad way). I didn’t even ask for less syrup and I thought the mocha was at a good sweetness level. The environment is okay for working — the music is rather loud so if you want quiet this is not the place. They have free wifi!

Good coffee spot that’s conducive to working, reading, and conversations. The staff is very warm and helpful, music selection is more of the indie rock persuasion, and there’s a considerable amount of open space compared to other coffee shops in the area.

BRC has made it to the Flatiron district, along with pastries from Dough(see: café au lait donut) and Colson Patisserie(see: almond croissant, chocolate financier). The coffee tastes great, and the baristas are skilled, efficient, and the warmest. The space is huge so feel free to find the wifi password and buckle down with a coffee & pastry. I especially like the wide, semi-circle milk & sugar station with almond & soy milks. Of the many coffee spots in Flatiron, BRC is a welcome addition and particularly spacey. PS the bathrooms are kept super clean!

I wish this place was on my way anywhere but it was just a fluke that I happened to be on 23rd street. I got the iced maple shay and, it was AMAZING. The counter employees were very friendly, and not just in a ‘customer service’ way, they were fun to talk to(and the shop was pretty busy). The shop is HUGE! I actually didn’t have trouble finding a seat at 4pm on a Monday, the décor was cute and the shop was pleasantly warm. I’d give this place another star if i could!

You don’t have to leave Manhattan to get a taste of Brooklyn Roasting Company’s coffee anymore! This space is really cool and pretty sparse. There’s a strange old fashioned unused bar in the back, as well as a roulette table(bring your own ball). There’s a jukebox in the front that probably doesn’t work but is fun to look at. The checkerboard tiled floor and wooden chairs and tables give the place an old school vibe. The staff there was friendly and took their time to help us choose beans to buy. We went on a Sunday afternoon and their pastries were BOGO so we got two Dough doughnuts for the price of one!(The passion fruit doughnut is really delicious.) Seems like a good place to relax or study or just nom on some coffee and doughnuts.

Stumbled upon this place with a crying baby and a group of friends. All I have to say is … I’m a fan The Sweet: — The coffee itself was delicious. The brew is bold and smooth. You don’t need any sugar or to load p on the crème to make it less bitter — NITRO — just get it — BK coffee shop theme — loved — coming back to try the rave reviews on the iced latte Baby Friendly: YES! And a changing table in the restroom!

I went into this place because it’s conveniently located right next to my office, but when I walked in I was pleasantly surprised! It’s really, really spacious, the atmosphere is casual and relaxed, and the prices here aren’t bad either. The service was very relaxed yet also efficient. I had no trouble finding a place to sit, even though it was late afternoon on a weekday in Manhattan. I also had no trouble finding an outlet, which seems to be something that’s becoming more difficult to do in coffee shops. For me, this place is convenient, but if in the future I don’t work so close to it, I would voluntarily make this a destination if I’m in the area and want a comfortable place to sit and drink some coffee!

So glad BRC opened in Manhattan! Saved me the trek to Brooklyn. Love the cavernous space and it’s perfect for working without being disturbed. Wifi available too. Chill out with a cold brew whiten you still can(before colder weather arrives). Nutty and strong flavors in this one. You could also get some fresh beans to go as well. Perfect for this home barista. :)

New location in Chelsea — the place is huge and very conducive to studying/hanging out. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with the wifi password on a chalkboard and bathrooms that don’t require a purchase — both very welcoming sights in this city. Bathrooms have cool blueprint wallpaper, which I enjoyed. Ordered a small cold brew from the sweet, smiling barista($ 3.50) and it hit the spot! FYI — the large size($ 4.00) is actually really large, like a Starbucks Venti. That was cool. Will definitely return when in the area.

Why must they be located a block away from my job? I am left powerless against the advances of their magical crack beans. But seriously… Starbucks who? They have the best iced lattes for miles.(It’s a surprisingly hard feat to make a good iced latte.) They have found the perfect balance… like Decaf Chopra. Spreading love and caffeine… the Brooklyn way! +20 points for Almond milk(I prefer not to drink soy) +10 for WiFi and outlets +10 for the loyalty punch card(if I would only remember to use it) +10 for clean bathrooms and quiet, spacious, good-vibey interior +10 for their dessert case and cheerful baristas Yes it’s true… I got mugged in Brooklyn!
