This is an excellent Italian, family style restaurant. It is a machine if you know what I mean, but the choices and presentation is top notch — for tourists and locals as well. Only objection is the ambient noise, very, very loud for NYC as well. Can’t loose with the Calamari or the Eggplant. Been many times, always excellent. Good bar too.

Do not eat here! I got the worst food poisoning of my entire life from this place, I had to go to the hospital! I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I have ordered from here a couple times and each time has been worse than the last. I have tried both pastas and pizzas and they have always been greasy and disgusting. And last time I ordered a pasta dish, I got such bad food poisoning that I had to go to the hospital! This place is disgusting, not clean and has terrible food. DONOTEATHERE!

Came in for hangover food. Had their sausage/pepper slice, pepperoni/mushroom slice and beef patty. The pizza did not have enough sauce for my liking. The beef patty(which he grabbed with his bare hands) tasted bland — not what I’m used to beef patties tasting like. The main reason for the 1-star review is that I had a giant roach crawl up my leg. I freaked out and jumped out of the seat, but no attention was given. The roach started crawling on the wall and back to the floor. We took our pizza and moved to a table near the entrance. I contemplated what normal people would have done… Complained? Left? Demanded money back? Take pictures for Unilocal? We continued eating since the food came from the oven. Then it came back! This time right on the counter they prepare food on. We told them about three times there was a roach there but they just looked confused. Finally one of the employees came to look and it started flying to the floor a few feet from me. «Apparently they can fly» she said and stomped on it. «Sorry about that.» At least they said sorry I guess… But never again! They have an A on the door, but I wonder about that. The establishment has its doors and windows wide open. It was warm and dim in there. It’s not pest-proof, and actually conducive to it otherwise. As I write this review, I wonder what their storage condition is like. Ugh… I think I’m going to puke again.

I’ve done it ladies and gentlemen, both found the first place truly worth of a one star review and also the worst pizza in manhattan. Let’s list all the good things here. Ok done. This place is gaudy, it’s dirty, and it just gets worse and worse. The haphazard interior with the blockaded non working bathroom, the cash only policy, the fact 2⁄3 of the display area is empty. You could effectively get bagged salad, «chicken parm»(which in this case is just chicken fingers cut up on top of a cheese slice) pepperoni or plain. Quite the selection. Brought to you by a lady who literally was resting her face on the counter texting on her phone and was unapologetically annoyed to have customers bother her trivia crack round. $ 8 for two slices. Two disgusting, garbage slices. I swear on the cutest kitten you can find that I’d have enjoyed microwaved Ellios pizza more then this, it was a disgrace. Picture store brand partially rehydrated cardboard grated cheese In a bag on top of chunky yet also still somehow watery marina sauce on some burned pita esque cracker dough. I also had the pleasure of watching the guy cutting up //serving the pizzas pull out some pre sliced frozen pepperoni in a huge 10lb bag and make up a new pie with his dirty unwashed ungloved hands. I won’t even get into the. Interesting people who seemed to be oddly hanging in and around the store and certainly were not customers. The only way a place could be this bad is if it’s a front for something else(in which case please don’t kill me) or an absentee owner who has no idea how bad it’s gotten. Either way it’s abundantly clear they absolutely do not care. At all.

Ordered through seamless and the food was atrocious. Those are strong words considering I’m from Austin, where the pizza game is pretty weak. The cheese pizza was clearly undercooked and no pizza cook should have let this leave the kitchen. The crust was a very pale white with no charring leaving the center of the pizza a bit doughy. The cheese had no brown spots and looked like it barely had a chance to melt together. Having cooked a few pizzas in my day I’m pretty sure the oven wasn’t hot enough to make a proper pizza. The worst thing is that the pizza was just so visibly not good. It should have been clear to anyone in the kitchen that this pizza was not ready to go out. I also ordered a slice of cheesecake which came with it’s own set of issues: 1. They sent me chocolate cake 2. Chocolate cake isn’t cheesecake 3. Seriously, though, the two are nothing alike 4. The chocolate cake was dry, boring, and not worth the calories. This might be my only 1-star review ever but I think it’s warranted. I come from a town with very few decent pizzas. I didn’t expect this to be as good as the lombardi’s I ate a few days ago but this was just unacceptable. There’s so much pizza in this city I cannot think of a reason anyone would ever want to order food here.

Ive been there a few times when I’ve been super hungry and wanted something quick . Not anymore ! while sitting eating my slice, I notice a delivery guy who just got back from making one helping out with his dirty hands and scooped out salad for an order that was going out, Then went to the back and stood on top of this cutting board with his sneaker to bring down a can of tomato sauce, then they used it without cleaning it GROSS!

Thought this was a fair price for a big piece of good pizza. Nothing fancy here, just the way I like it.

Only have had this delivered, so take that into account. The pies are generous in size and have a decent taste, but the crust/dough is consistently undercooked. If they just leave it in the oven for a few more minutes, it would be great. I usually pop it into the oven before eating it.

Call me crazy, but I expect my baked ziti to actually be *baked.* Instead what I got was some over cooked pasta, not enough pizza sauce, and a bit of questionable mozzarella cheese(?) on top. Close, but not good enough for the $ 12 I spent. The dish is bland and not even worthy of saving for leftovers, I’m very disappointed. I usually get the pizza here and it’s passable, hence the two stars.

It’s not exactly NY style –the crust is too thick and bready– but what can I say, I kind of love it. It’s cheap, you get a big slice, I love the sauce, and there’s lots of interesting topping choices. Go around 6pm when they put out their fresh dinner pizzas.

It is delightful to have a local pizza place that you can order from very last minute or if you cannot decide on what to eat. With that said, it is only good if the quality of the food is good. I always believe in paying more for quality especially when it pertains to what goes into your body. You can’t put a price on health(well, maybe). But when you charge a healthy price for something that is subpar then it really just isn’t worth it. This local spot uses imitation cheese, and even though that is not really a shocker for most pizza places nowadays, the imitation cheese is pretty bland and awful tasting. The dough itself is subpar and chewy as opposed to crispy. I really hope that people from out of town who have a desire to try a «New York slice» are not subjected to imitation and fake ingredients upon their first experience. It would be quite a shame.

What a shame! What a shame! I thought it was one of the most underrated pizza parlors in our area. Always stopped by for a slice… BUTHAVEYOUNOTICEDHOWTHEYHAVEREDUCEDTHESIZEOFTHEPIZZASFROMWHICHYOUGET A SLICE!!! UNREAL… Now your slice comes out of a medium pie or smaller!!! It used to be from a large pie. What’s worse is that they pretend nothing has changed. NOW what do you call that chessey or just plain cheap. How do you downsize a New York tradition. I would have preferred they charged more than try to pretend they were still serving you the same slice size. I think the word is «sleazy»… Bye, bye Broadway Pizza!

My favorite place in the neighborhood! Great specialty pizzas and salads. Always consistent and fast. Have been coming here for years and will continue to do so.

Awful. Arrived quick, but cold. I can see why the garlic knots were so cheap. they were burnt, hard, and very dry. Almost $ 20 for a pizza with tasteless and boring sauce. Save your money.

Really great service, reasonably priced and fresh, great tasting pizza. I am surprised by the relatively low rating for this place, I guess NY’ers have much higher standards for their pizza, but coming from SF, this was great and seeing such friendly and helpful staff was a huge plus. Great work Broadway Pizza! Highly recommended to anyone who happens to go in or around that area.

I really can not believe how low the reviews are for this place. I get it we are in NYC and pizza should be to die for everywhere, every minute of every day. I GETIT. But let us be honest… This high up in manhattan… There is not a lot of pizza. Mama’s is decent however the insane ruddiness and stupidity of whoever takes orders is more then enough for me to NEVER eat there again. Buca — is good if you want to go and sit down and pay to much CASH for mediocre pizza. V&T is DISGUSTING. So as far as I’m concerned they get 5 stars because this neighborhood is LACKING serious pizza. On to the real review. I’ve only ordered pizza from them twice. Both times I received DELICIOUS fresh piping hot pizza in under 20 minutes. The end.

2.5 stars, people? You’ve got to be kidding me? Are we in New York or are we back to wherever we are from that obviously doesn’t have nearly as good pizza? This is a poorly run store that looks inviting, but doesn’t even serve up New York Style pizza. The pizza was just plain pizza that you can get ANYWHERE. Here I was, walking around the UWS looking for a quick bite, and this place lures me in only to disappoint me with a generic pizza slice I could have ordered from back home in the BOONDOCKSOFMISSOURI(for which I am occasionally home sick). Maybe the secret isn’t in the water, huh? Raise your standards. Shame on you.

I should have known. I was planning on stopping in at Mama’s for a slice but thought I’d like to try something new instead. Walked over to Broadway, and Broadway Pizza was the first candidate I saw. Margot G. to me: «well, how bad could it be?» Me to Margot G.: «yeah, it’s hard to screw up a slice of pizza.» Well, it wasn’t bad. But definitely not something to write home about. The sauce was pretty bland and the crust was not all that crispy. The cheese was fine, but the rest of it elicited a «meh» response from me. Plus, the slice costs $ 2.50 whereas a slice at Mama’s costs $ 2. Or you can spend another $ 1.25 and go down the street to Koronets where the pizza is infinitely better and bigger. On the plus side, they sell Stewarts soda here. So that was good.
