A bit pricy but wonderful place. Stepping into this café is like being in a different world. It reminded me of being in a café in Europe. Desserts are great, and the staff are wonderful. I definitely will come again!

The pin point for this place is wrong on Unilocal. It is indeed between 109⁄110 on 2nd ave but it’s not on the corner it’s about 3 shops down from 110 on the east side of the street. It’s hard to spot! It’s small with a green exterior. It’s tiny! But super cute with bar stools and wooden floors. It’s cozy. The have a variety of pastries and teas and coffee(Toby’s Estate coffee). I went in for free Macron Day(3⁄20). I sampled the cinnamon pistachio flavor-it had glitter on the outside and a cherry with the frosting. I also sampled the vanilla cheesecake macron which was surprisingly very rich and depth in flavor. I plan to re-visit for Strawberry black tea and honeycomb brioche! (This location bakes all of their pastries for their downtown tea parlor.) The workers are very friendly!

Very good coffee and their Marcarons are way better than some of the very famous bakeries.

I really enjoy coffee! And this is cute little coffee shop in the neighborhood. But, no matter how you look at it this is still Spanish Harlem, not SpaHa just yet, and this place is a bit $$. $ 4.50 for a large almond cappuccino. Granted their coffee is pretty sophisticated but I think the price is still about a $ 1.00 too much. The cappuccinos are very good. The service here has always been friendly, and the self serve coffee area is nice with different flavored syrups. When I truly need a cappuccino fix I drop in. Happy Unilocaling :)

The one in Spanish Harlem is a hole in the wall, and too expensive, for such an uncomfortable tiny spot with high stools to sit only(4). Too expensive as well: small plain black coffee cup: $ 2.50. Again, 2.50!!!

Well, the coffee and pasties are good. Nothing life changing! Nothing worth raving about but very good. These type of pastry shop are popping up all over the place… and they can be a great! However it baffles the mind as to why a shop like this would go through the painstaking tasks of making all of the great stuff and then hire some lethargic person with that, I don’t care, crap attitude to work the counter. I don’t need coffee that badly, and you are not doing me a favor by serving me. There are many good pastry shops around. I get it… it’s hard to find good people. But for me, I would rather frequent an establishment with friendly staff and reasonably good pastry, then have a glazed eye looking chick ignore me as long as she possible can and then resentfully do her job. When did we stop understanding the importance of good customer service. Hire someone who is friendly and personable and people go out of there way to frequent the place. I would!

3rd artisanal bakery/coffee place to open around 110th since I moved here 3 years ago. Tiny space, only seating on super high burlap-cushioned stools(wear pants & scout out the one short stool). The baking from the back smells good but nothing caught my eye or tempted me, so we did not taste any of the sweets. The iced coffee was strong & smooth, a small size is equivalent to a Starbucks grande. & the cream might actually be cream! It’s not cheap, but the wifi is free & we didn’t feel like hanging out was unwanted. Not a bad spot.

Seriously amazing. The quality control on these pastries is unreal — so much love clearly went into getting everything right. Great coffee to boot and prices that remind me why I love Harlem so dearly.

Pros: Excellent Viennoiserie. Boisie is a shoebox of a café in which every surface area is used to display the wares. The front counter has boxes of colorful macarons and chunky pistachio white chocolate cookies, chocolate chip, salted dark chocolate and oatmeal cookies. The display case below showcases delicately detailed fruit tarts accented with candy blossoms, chocolate napoleons and eclairs. There are usually four or five types of sandwiches(curry chicken, ham and butter) and an assortment of bottled water and flavored soda. The front window holds all sorts of golden brioche, chocolate, almond filled or raspberry filled croissants. Cheese Danish like God intended. Plain brioche. Honey brioche. My favorite is this thing called a bostock. Basically a round disk of moist buttery aerated lightly sweetened brioche bread slathered in almond paste that is lightly browned. Honestly, I could eat that pseudo healthy looking almond toast every day untiI I die. But, then I would be 20 lbs heavier. Like I was after a year in France. Bottom line, these pastries are culinary gems with so much love. Boise brings dignity back to pastry. I usually order a large iced soy latte and it pretty much changes my whole life every time. The coffee is pricey at $ 5.50 but if order a whole lot of pastries which range between $ 2 and $ 2.50 it offsets the price. Plus, no where else in Harlem can I get an iced soy latte that good. Bosie is a rare gem of a bakery in NY. It is not so much a place where you go to hang out. But, I’m hoping that as they become increasingly popular they will expand into a more hang out friendly venue. Until then I will keep enjoying their wares at home. Cons: The only cons are preferential. 1.) The almond croissant is a touch too sweet for my taste . It doesn’t need the old lady drizzle of cloudy glaze on top. Let it be a croissant and not a Danish. 2.) Use homemade or low sugar raspberry jam in the jam filled croissant. The jam on the raspberry croissant is more of a defamation than an accent.

I have lived one block away for about 2 years and although I’ve tried to go to Bosie Bakery, I never could find it! :(The map pinpoint on Unilocal is incorrect — it’s located on the east side of 2nd Ave. Also, quite honestly, the storefront does not look like a bakery or café, nor can you read the name from across the street!(Management, you’re welcome for the feedback.) The sweets looked divine! However, my rating is solely based on the coffee, price, and service. I ordered a 16 oz. drip coffee with steamed milk — no more or less than the standard amount. Despite this, the«barista» made me a Café Au Lait. I only knew before leaving because she charged me $ 3.00 instead of $ 2.50(the ACTUAL price). Really, $ 3.00? For a drip coffee in the Spanish Harlem? Perhaps they need to move to Carnegie Hill or below!(Rent’s expensive, eh?) Typically bakeries will charge $ 0.25 extra for steamed milk, IF that! I mean, really… how much does the labor cost to steam the milk for 10 seconds to get a bit of foam? When I questioned the barista on what she charged me, she said«Oh, well it’s a Café Au Lait…» I said«Oh, I don’t want a Café Au Lait. I just wanted steamed milk in my coffee is all.» She responded, «Well, that’s what it is.»(Wrong.) So I correct her by saying, «No well, a Café Au Lait is half milk and half coffee. You charged me the same even though I didn’t ask for any additional milk.» She said«Well there’s not much in there… it’s not REALLY a Café Au Lait. It has [this] much milk.»(Shows me about the same that you would put in a regular cup of coffee.) Now with a frustrated tone, again I asked, «Then why did you charge me the same as a Café Au Lait?» She responds, «Because that is what we charge when you get steamed milk.» … Seriously? Could have just said that from the beginning instead of giving a complicated, long drawn out explanation. At the very least, don’t you think she could have warned me of the severe price hike since they clearly don’t offer that option as a standard? It’s not like it’s even written anywhere on their menu. As for the overall quality of the coffee… watery and tasteless. ‘Nuff said. Where did my $ 3.00 go?!

Saw this place as I was exploring the neighborhood and decided to give it a try. Door was locked and they had been closed for about 30 mins but the young woman inside saw me, unlocked the door, and took her time offering me suggestions. Oh and did i mention that the pastries were delicious?

Yummy pastries and a solid Americano. A first spot I’ve explored in El Barrio(–a new spot, I believe) and I love it. Friendly service too.

I actually think this place is more of a 3.5 based on my experience there, but I’ll round up. The coffee(just a drip coffee) was sour and bitter, even though I put tons of milk in it to try to fix the taste. The pastries look good but the cookie I had was hard and dry, as was the croissant. Maybe if I came earlier in the day? They get stars because they offer some fun pastries if thats what you’re in the mood for. I prefer things like croissants but if you want something more desert-like, they have some really interesting offerings — the Paris-Brest, macaroons in particular. I might come back and try espresso, since it seems like that might be the thing to get? Also, its super super small inside, so don’t plan on chillin here.

This little coffee and pastry shop is located in the front of the industrial kitchen for Bosie, which supplies the tea parlor downtown and sells to other venues too. Needless to say, their pastries and viennoiserie are delicious. Their honey-comb brioche is incredible and I love the Paris-Brest if you are looking for something decadent. Their coffee is probably the best int he neighborhood as they have a real espresso machine(the lattes can be a little milky but we can’t really complain). Living around the corner from this bakery is a treat!

Great tea and coffee with a bakery on site. Some of the best baked goods you will find anywhere along with friendly staff. A local winner.
