Out of this world! Highly recommend. The food, the drinks, the staff, the atmosphere… everything was out of this world. A great place to go for a fantastic meal or just a quick drink.

I can not recommend this restaurant highly enough if you are looking for a classy steak dinner. We tried a variety of appetizers and sides and they were all excellent. The steak was top notch, easily one of the best steaks I have had at a restaurant. The best part might have been the service, though. Everyone there was helpful and accommodating. Our server was the exact right level of attentive. All of their recommendations were fantastic.

I had an absolutely incredible meal here that definitely rivaled any other New York steakhouse!!! We shared the Porterhouse, and the meat was not only cooked to perfection, but was perfectly salted and incredibly tasty. We were a small group, and the portions were extremely generous. For sides, we tried the creamed spinach, carrot mouse(a surprising favorite of the group!), and the polenta. Each dish was tastier than the next! I cannot recommend the food highly enough! Also, the service was absolutely impeccable. Michael, our waiter, was extraordinarily attentive, and seemed to be there exactly when we needed something(and not more!). He was friendly and personable and really added to the experience. The manager, Niko, was also incredible– he was very kind and was able to give us great wine and post-dinner drink recommendations. The staff here are really superb! This was a truly unforgettable meal, great food, great service and a beautiful venue. A hidden gem!

Amazing!!! First, décor and the ambiance of the place is something else — just beautiful! There is a great bar area on the first floor with very friendly bartenders. I went there with a friend, and we had the sirloin steak and fillet mignon — delicious and at the perfect temperature. We also ordered some great side dishes — creamed spinach and baked polenta — loved it! The stuff was very gracious and made us feel special. We had a great time! Thank you! We will definitely see you again soon!

We were there on June 15 to celebrate a promotion and I must say I was very pleased with the service. The staff was very courteous and attentive and you can tell they were well trained. Besides that the food was excellent as well. Highly recommended!

I went to the Blu on Park last week end. It was not planned but I am very satisfied. It was I and my wife and we both had steak which we loved and were cooked as we like. One medium one Well done. We also enjoyed french fries and shared a dessert which was excellent too. We really enjoyed the service too quick, attentive and kind to any request. The atmosphere was great for me and my wife however, I definitely recommend it also to a group of friends. Indeed we will come back with ours too!

My favorite! Everything on the menu is so good! From appetizers to steaks to dessert. I was there few days ago, I had filet mignon, friend had the ribeye .The meat melted in your mouth and steaks were cooked just as ordered: medium rare. Very good food with great service and atmosphere! I will definitely come back.

I used to come here a lot when they opened. They started off really good. Service, food and drinks was outstanding. But over the past few months I’ve slowly watched this place going down. The restaurant hasn’t been open for 1 year and i noticed they changed the menu couple times, staff keeps leaving(which is never a good sign). Our favourite water is not there anymore. This is supposed to be a high end steakhouse but they don’t even have a manager as i heard. Their waiter does the job of the manager, something is not rite. I noticed the food didn’t taste as good as the last time I was there. So i talked with the waiter, he said their chef they had before is not working there anymore either. Too bad. lately the service is subpar, food is below average, their wine by the glass used to be really good it has changed as well, now it is not good at all. The place is pretty but still not worth the price. Seems like the restaurant is failing and with that being said who knows how fresh they keep the food. There are plenty of good steak houses in NYC if you want great food with professional service avoid this one!

This place is absolutely amazing. I’ve been there a couple times and loved their food and service. Just to mention few dishes, my favorites are the crab cake app, the seabass, potato gratin, potato latkes and their crème brullee. I m going back soon for sure. Highly recommend.

I’ve been wanting to check out this new addition of eateries near Lexington for sometime now and finally gave it a go on a random Thursday night for happy hour. A few girlfriends and I came here around 6pm or so and found that happy hour was still being served so we headed straight to the bar. The restaurant has multiple levels each just as flattering as the other. The bar are was nice and quaint and bartender very welcoming. We were given drink menus upon arrival and also asked for a food menu. For drinks we did glasses of Pinot Grigio, and ordered multiple entrees. I did the beef sliders(3 for $ 12), my friend ordered the oysters on the happy hour menu($ 1 per oyster) and our third friend ordered a salmon meal off of the dinner menu. The beef sliders were small as expected but certainly appetizing and served its purpose. The patty was cooked well as asked and the bun which I believed to have been brioche was the perfect pairing with swizz cheese(craving it now as I write this review). The overall presentation of the plate was also very good. My friend enjoyed her oysters, she ordered a total of 10 of them which were served in a saucer with ice. I believe the bartender shared with her the origin in which the oysters were collected from, which was a nice touch. My friend who ordered the salmon enjoyed her meal, it was a decent dinner portion and very appetizing. We were all very satisfied with our experience at Blu and plan to return for future dates.

Editing my review to give management thanks for fixing my little problem with my bill. I took my boyfriend to this place for his birthday and was really excited to take him out to this nice restaurant. I was overcharged on my bill. Management eventually gave me a call and fixed the bill, which I appreciated greatly. I’m glad to see that customer satisfaction is important to them. I enjoyed my seabass and the crème brûlée. The king mushrooms were good, but I didn’t like the tofu that comes on top of it. Our waiter was very sweet and helpful. It’s a new restaurant so I would say stop in and give them a try. It was a quiet and quaint atmosphere that my boyfriend and I enjoyed.

Horrible service. When I asked about the oysters, the answer was half shell and then after they asked the chef, it was from the east coast. It took 3 trips to know they are from Main. It took 30 min to bring the wine and the salad was uneatable. We sent back the carpaccio as well. Steak was ok, fries undercooked. I would not recommend eating there.

Nice place, relaxed and modern however it the dishes were very mediocre and sadly not impressed at all. Burata starter was not creamy and very bland and tuna tartar was more like poke. Saddest dish was the porterhouse steak — cooked well but under seasoned. Such a shame as we were very excited but honestly the food isn’t top notch.

This is my favorite dining place on the Avenue! Besides their waitstaff being awesome, the food is impeccable! You feel like you’re eating a meal fit for a celebrity without having to spend an arm and leg. I’ve ordered the lobster cobb salad twice– I just love it that much. I’ve also had one of their pasta dishes and sampled my boyfriend’s steak. Both of those were amazing as well. I’ve been there with friends, on dates and even hosted my cousin’s bridal lunch there. The place itself is just gorgeous and perfect for any occasion. You must go to Blu if you haven’t already!

The atmosphere and ambiance are new age, which makes it different from most traditional steakhouses. The food and service are as good as it gets. Our party had 3 rib eyes and a filet. Both cuts were fantastic. Steaks were perfectly seasoned(salt/pepper) and cooked beautifully. It never ceases to amaze me how often popular steakhouses will overcook rare and medium rare orders. The side orders were fine — nothing to write about but it’s not why you go to a steakhouse anyway. Most of the wines are on the pricey side(over $ 100), but they do have a handful of cheaper options. We had a bottle of Trapiche Malbec($ 64) and a Penfolds Bin 28 Shiraz($ 85). The malbec was decent. The shiraz was delicious. If we had to do it over we would’ve just ordered two bottles of the shiraz. We dealt with everyone other than the chef — maitre d /hostess, bartender and servers. All were very accommodating, pleasant and attentive.

This was the second time eating at Blu and it’s quickly becoming my favorite new steakhouse. The ambience, the service, and the food all are truly excellent. The attention to details are carefully thought out throughout the dining experience. My favorites are the buratta and eggplant appetizer, filet mignon, and creamed spinach. So delicious! Really great group dining too.

There are a few meals you have in life that leave you speechless and tonight I had that meals! The filet mignon was so juicy, tender and well flavored it took me to heaven and back! I’m usually not a meat eater but I will definitely go back for the filet mignon. For dessert we ordered assorted variety of desserts and everything from cheese cake to the crème brûlée was to die for! I highly recommend this place if you love elegance, class and enjoy a décor of old meets new!

Blu on Park overall score: 90 This joint just opened up on 60th Street, just east of Park(not actually ON Park, but close enough). Owner Amir is having a great first few weeks after opening, with a packed house on most nights. Chef Russell slings the food here, after doing a 12 year stint at The Boathouse in Central Park. Impressive. Flavor: 10 I ate here with my wife, sister in law and brother in law, so we got to try a good amount of food. For our steaks, we went with a 40oz tomahawk rib eye for two, as well as a porterhouse for two. Let me first discuss the tomahawk: This fucker was cooked perfectly. You can see that nice bright pink medium rare awesomeness stretch from end to end. The crust had ample and robust seasoning, which was kept simple to course salt and cracked pepper. Even the far end of the fat cap was still a perfect medium rare; I was really impressed with that. The porterhouse was similarly pro-executed. In fact, in the first few bites, we couldn’t readily identify which side was which between the filet and the strip — THAT’S how tender the strip side was! On second glance it’s clear that the top is strip and the bottom is filet, but the filet side was quite generous. Choice of Cuts & Quality Available: 10 Blu offers two sizes of filet, two sizes of rib eye, multiple sizes of porterhouse and a strip. Everything is aged for about 28 days(with the exception of the filet) and is prime quality. These babies come from Master Purveyors in the Bronx. I’m familiar with their products and I can tell you they are top notch. Portion Size & Plating: 10 Portions are all generous here, from apps on up the chain to entrees and desserts. The plating is simple and elegant, no fuss. Price: 8 The prices here seem to be on par with other steakhouses in the area. It was a hefty bill, but I didn’t feel ripped off. In fact, it was the opposite: I was really happy with the meal and was happy to fork over money for a well-worth-it meal. Bar: 8 This place puts up some really great cocktails, and it has a killer selection of scotches, like Ardbeg Uigeadail — a super smoky and peat-infused islay whisky. The bar is a beautiful black quartz topped stretch that is clean and chic, with gorgeous high tops and seating nearby. Definitely a cool place to hang out, especially with cocktail napkins like these — haha! Specials and Other Meats:7 There were no specials just yet, as the joint is pretty much brand new! The only other selection aside from beef was veal — the rest is seafood. I don’t mind that one bit — it’s just one spot where I need to deduct some points. Apps, Sides & Desserts: 8 We tried some oysters and the beef carpaccio for starters. Both were incredible. The oysters were west coasters that were meaty, clean and crisp: The carpaccio was filet that was sliced thin and topped with some watercress greens, meyer lemon, crispy fried artichokes and shaved cheese. Great way to prime up for more meat. For sides, we went with creamed spinach, whipped potatoes and roasted king oyster mushrooms. Let’s start with the best — the mushrooms. I typically pass on mushroom sides at steakhouses because they generally seem to be a huge waste of money. They’re usually some crappy-ass button mushrooms that are overly buttery and mixed with onions. They may taste fine, but I can do that at home for $ 3. Here, the king oyster mushrooms, first off, are expensive and more rare. Second, they’re meaty and earthy, a great compliment to a piece of steak. They roast them with garlic here and they come out absolutely perfect. Third/last, at just $ 12 I find this to be a great buy. I’ve seen these ‘shrooms go for $ 24-$ 32/lb in some grocery stores. They also offer these«unsliced» and with a few other sides as a main, vegan option entrée. Great idea. The creamed spinach was a bit lacking for me, but my wife and I both agreed that we enjoyed the texture, which was broken up here and there with some crispness. The mashed potatoes, which I didn’t photograph, were creamy and smooth, but they were nothing to necessarily write home about. When I visit again, I’ll stick with the mushrooms and maybe try the french fries instead. For dessert we shared a key lime pie that was more like a layer cake than pie. My wife and I really enjoyed the change-up for this dish. The cake had an almost nutty quality, with the texture of carrot cake. It came with a scoop of coconut sorbet that was really icy and mild — not too sweet. The manager, Carlos, was a real gentleman. He sent over a complimentary glass of after dinner dessert port for each of us, as well as a follow up reception at the bar with glasses of champagne and a cheese platter! We were blown away. If you lack a sweet tooth, like I sometimes do, then this cheese plate is the way to go. The blue cheese on there is incredible! REVIEWCUTFORLENGTH
