I came here late on a weeknight with my friend after a Broadway show. The bartender was super nice and friendly. Seems to have known my friend since he goes a lot. Sadly, didn’t have any beers or anything as I was already exhausted and had a long drive back to NJ for me. I just asked for some diet coke and the bartender was on top of my refills until I was caffeinated enough for my drive. Thank you and MUCH appreciated!!! Prices seem reasonable. The clientele are a mix, which was interesting. I definitely see why my friend likes going here.

For being so close to Times Square, I’m pretty sure we were the only non-locals there on a recent Saturday night. We got a seat at the bar and enjoyed yapping with the bartenders. It had a nice laid-back vibe when we were there. Despite an incredibly diverse crowd, the jukebox was crowded with classic rock songs. It’s definitely got a divey-feeling when you walk past it… I know that I probably would’ve not gone in by myself, but I felt perfectly safe with my boyfriend with me. And I’m quite sure I would have been safe even if he wasn’t there.

It’s my midtown go-spot. This is a good place to catch up with friends; its laid back ambience allows for intimate conversation. Bartenders are awesome and polite. Drinks could be cheaper(rum and cokes are $ 8) but sometimes you need to pay for atmosphere.

Met up with a friend here on a weekend night. We found this buy accident while wandering around looking for a laid back place to grab a drink or two. We had poked our heads into a few spots but they were too crowded, too dark, too smelly or didn’t have the«right» vibe. Blarney Stone Pub is you typical neighborhood dive bar. They have TV’s but I wouldn’t call it a sports bar. The vibe is quite mellow and on the night we were there, the bar was mostly empty. There is a lot of seating at bar and at the tables towards the back. This is a great place to hang out with friends(if the intent is to speak to one another) catch a game on TV, or just relax after work or an event at nearby Times Square. They serve food and from what I could tell, allow pizza to be brought in . It must be noted here that the drinks are CHEAP, as in $ 5 or so for a cocktail. Darned cheap. Based upon what I experienced, they don’t water down those drinks either. My friend and I decided to only have drinks that we used to order in college. So yes, we ordered Midori Sour, Sea Breeze, Sex on the Beach, Lemon Drop, etc. Ugh. Sickeningly sweet drinks! We started to solicit suggestions from those around us and found out the bar doesn’t flame drinks(Flaming Dr. Pepper), have whipped cream(BJ), or possess a blender(Pina Colada). The bar patrons were a mix of tourists and locals, both young and old. A good mix, I thought. The guy sitting next to me was offering everyone some of his Thin Mints and telling me about his job as a bartender at one of the Broadway theatres. The guy on the other side of him was pretty out of it and kept trying to offer us suggestions(rather loudly) of all these crazy drinks we absolutely had to try. Everyone was pretty friendly and on subsequent trips to NYC, I have tried to plan for return visits. The bartender was really friendly and was great for putting up with us.

Passed this pub a few times whilst on holiday. Eventually went out with some«locals» had a great night, great laugh. Until I got back to the hotel and realised my purse had been dipped of all cash. Alarm bells should have sounded when the bartender switched me to water without asking. He must have known more than me by this point. Unless your face fits then I would avoid this place.

Came here with my co workers to celebrate a birthday. My co workers are regulars there &* I see why. The drinks are cheap. Every one is super friendly. The jukebox is really fun. Only downfall is whoever controls the music &* its kinda empty in there but other than that its not a bad place to hang out at

I came to New York for a quick trip and after an evening walk around Times Square decided to stop in the Blarney Stone Pub for an Irish Coffee. I had a great time! The bartender, Andy I think, was really nice and did a great job on my drinks. The other bartender Lorraine was hilarious! Prices for the drinks were really inexpensive too. I didn’t eat there but I overheard that their wings can be good but extremely hot! Finally, just beware of Creepy Jim, and don’t get him started on World of Warcraft :)!

Everyone here is super friendly. I always meet interesting people here. The drinks are pretty cheap and my favorite bartender here is Dan. He is so attentive and always knows what I want!
