Excellent service, a great variety of spirits, and a good handful of beers on tap. This is the place to come if you want to watch a sports game and have some great bar food without breaking the bank. My girlfriend lost a ring, and the friendly staff called her immediately when they found it and held it for her until we returned. If you get anything with fries, ask for the Cajun seasoning. It’s a small but delicious difference!

Good place for drinks, meeting people, and party. The food is not the best but I don’t eat here anyway. I just know the ppl. Simon and Tommy are great bartenders. Great drink specials and music.

Had a good experience here! We were looking for a cheap happy hour bar and stumbled upon this place. Tues special $ 4 blue moon and bud lites; half price potato skins; $ 5 for a glass of house wine. I believe I saw Monday’s are half price wings. It was around 5:30 when we walked in and pretty dead. Like most restaurants you could only get the happy hour deals at the bar. However there were plenty of seats. Food and drinks were served quickly and the noise level was fair(you could have a convo with your neighbor without screaming). If you want a cheap happy hour with decent bar food, come here!

If I could give it five stars for the bartender, I would. Our bartender, Tommy, was fantastic. However, the rest of the staff was absolutely horrendous. We came in and had drink service from one waitress, who insisted that we cash out immediately because she was clocking out. She proceeded to wander around for a few hours, talking to friends and intermittently taking/bringing orders to everyone but us. I admit my bias to west coast courtesy, but the wait staff here blows. Our bartender ended up carrying the load while waitresses completely ignored us. I never saw a menu of any kind. It was weird.

The food tastes bad and the service is horrible. My friend had the worst shepard’s pie of his life here. The seating/tables are also terribly arranged. We were squished right up in between the table and the wall. My cocktail was small, mostly ice, and clearly light on the liquor. My bangers and mash were subpar as well.

The food here was really bad. Never seen a Shepherd Pie from an irish pub looks just like some microwavable frozen food that I can make at home. The fish and chip were bad too. The cocktails my friends ordered were too sweet that tasted like fountain drink.

I recently visited New York City. I went to Blaggards for lunch. Alicia and Alison helped us get familiar with the menu and they were very welcoming and explained the menu. The service was top notch. After having a great corned beef sandwich on rye(I thought my Nana from Cork made it), we went to the bar for a drink before heading back to shopping. Orla the bar tender was friendly and carried a great conversation. She worked extremely hard and truly think she is the best bartender in town. I give Blaggards five stars for the service. Excellent place to visit.

Came in from the cold and got a warm reception. The bartender Mark was more than welcoming. Didn’t have to wait for a drink he was Johnny on the spot with that old Irish charm. Of all the pubs in Manhattan we have found our new favorite.

A big plus for lots of seating and yummy nachos and ok fish & chips. It’s just your typical Irish bar in the area.

It’s a big midtown bar. Great if you need a place to drink with co workers after work. There are so many tables so space isn’t an issue. My only complaint is that the happy hour specials are only available at the bar. Food is well priced and you can get a burger for 10 bucks.

Had a great Friday night at Blaggards. The bartenders were friendly and accommodating. There’s a jukebox in the back and plenty of tv screens. They have a full bar and a good range of beers on tap.

I came here with my coworkers to enjoy a couple of pints after work. I was among the last group to arrive and the hostess was gracious enough to move our group to a bigger table. Unfortunately, that is when the«good service» ended. My coworker ordered cajun cheese fries but were given regular fries. It took them almost an hour before they made the correction. I, on the other hand, was never even able to order. I tried getting our server’s attention at least three times and she ignored me while spilling my coworker’s beer on him. I am not sure I would go out of my way to come here again.

Should have known better. As we were headed back to our hotel, with two hungry kids In tow, we decided to stop for food and drinks. It’s a bit slower over this way then in time square. This is exactly what we were looking for. Before coming in, we learned about the rating system for restaraunts in New York City. A is the best you can get it, b and c are lower. Upon walking in, we noticed the sign said«to be determined». Yet, with two whiny kids we still went in. This is where I say we should have known better. I immediately checked into Unilocal,& saw the poor ratings. We ordered drinks, vodka and Guinness, and those came quickly despite a long time to get our server to acknowledge us. We ordered, and the food came quickly. Remember those two hungry whiny kids I had? Well, one had a rubbery chicken tenders delivered, and would not touch them. The other had a completely burnt hamburger delivered. Needless to say, neither eat either one of the orders. I mentioned the chicken to the waitress, and she said she would comp it. After pleading with my other son who wouldn’t eat his burger, I tried it. It was so burnt that after two drinks I still have the burnt meat taste in my mouth. I told the waitress, and she said I’m sorry but I already comped the chicken. Apparently, When you choose something crappy on the menu, you can only be comped for one less than par meal. So, we ended up paying full price for a burger that had one bite out of it. Extremely disappointing, the waitress said I’m sorry, but I think we’re the ones that are more sorry that we chose this place. The music was good, the drinks were good, but Thats as far as I would go. Last thing, as the waitress came up to give us our bill, she had a bottle of Windex in her hand and a rag. From reading the previous reviews, it sounds like that rag that she uses to wash tables is the rag she uses to clean her shoes. Hopefully the money I spent, wasted, will save you some money. There are many Irish pubs always in the same area, I would choose another.

Went here to have a few drinks with some work friends around 8 ish. Cool atmosphere not crowded at all and definitely the type of place you go to talk and catch up. Drinks priced pretty moderate.

Typical Irish themed Midtown bar. Long bar, plenty of seating. I did not try for a count on the taps — but probably twenty. Lots of craft beers — thankfully I did not see Bud or Bud Lite. Several hightops. Background music was set high enough to listen to — a good rock/pop selection — current stuff, not oldies. Bartender at lunch was friendly, professional. I had a Goose Island IPA and the beef stew«special» — which is apparently«special» five days a week. Cheap, good sized serving, you will not leave hungry. But if you want a really good beef stew go over to Molly’s on Third Ave. Limited number of small flat screens. A few doors west of Fifth Ave so convenient. I need to try more of the menu. Someone said that this place might qualify as a dive bar — nope.

Good pub atmosphere with very good service. Food was good(not great). We had the fish and chips — and — bangers and mash. Tap beer selection is quite nice. And if you love a juke box filled with hits from the 1980s(which we Do!!) then you’ll like the vibe!

Super unsanitary. My friends and I came in the other night for a beer and food. We ordered the beer and I checked in on Unilocal. That’s when I saw two stars and was like ‘uh uh. We ain’t orderin food’! So, we sat there drinking our beers when I noticed a bottle of windex on display near the sitting area(I posted a pic in this post). Not only is it a poor display of care it’s also unsanitary to have cleaning products sitting within view of patrons. Needless to say we didn’t order food but we did finish our drinks. But hold on! The best is to come! While signing the check a waitress walked by the windex and rag, she picked up the rag, wipes her shoe with it and put it back. She didn’t even take it with her!!! She wiped her shoe and left the dirty rag and bottle of windex!!! At least her shoes are now stain free.
