I’m not happy with the Manhattan prices(I’m used to ordering in Queens) but it’s reasonable for the area. Always happy with my order and the people are friendly and fast. Their rangoons are amazing!

This is a very friendly place! It’s a take-out place, but has plenty of seating. The lighting was interesting given the shades of ever changing neon lighting. Our food was pretty standard fare Chinese food and it was a great deal! It’s all about $ 10. 1. Egg foo young: really delicious! Like a fantastic omelette. 2. Pepper steak: this was quite good. It wasn’t over salted and the portions are great. This dish came with pork fried rice. 3. Hot and sour soup: really good actually! Not too spicy and ingredients tasted pretty fresh. 4. Wonton soup: three big wontons. Better than other take out places I’ve been to. Very good quality. 5. Chicken Lo mein: a little greasy but satisfying nonetheless. 6. Crispy noodles complimentary: standard crunchy noodles. A good lead in to he main meal. Sodas were bonus!

While the food is good the delivery guy is a con. Everythime I order food I ask to make sure they bring change first time they didn’t bring I gave them the benefit of the doubt and gave him a big tip(I always tip especially if the weather is bad I am generous) 2nd time I called u emphasised the change again and told them to please not forget of course he came and«forgot» this time I looked for change myself and could not find it and gave him the exact total he left bothered and I told him he shouldn’t of forgotten the change. When I speak to other people in the area they all tell me that’s his game so he can keep the money and that alot. of people have stopped ordering from them because of the delivery guy. SOBEWARE!

I really enjoy eating here for lunch. Delivery is very quick unless the weather is bad then definitely order early. Service is very quick and efficient. I usually just get the chicken and broccoli in garlic sauce lunch special and it always service as a tasty and filling lunch. Even when delivered food is fresh and hot.

Their lunch rush is insanely busy and they still always manage to get my order just right. Their sesame chicken is especially good.

Delicious, fresh. General Tso’s that’s actually spicy, crunchy, and white meat. Chicken and Broccoli with thick flavorful sauce. A rarely great Chinese food place, eat in, or take out.

If there was a scavenger hunt to find good Chinese takeout on the upper east side, you’ll never cross it off your list. With Beijing wok, you can maybe get half a point. Portions were good and food was a little above bland. Great for last resort Chinese takeout. Upside: get a freebie at different price totals

Local neighborhood spot for Chinese. Not the greatest but I would probably order from them again. Beef chow ho fun: tasty but noodles were overcooked. General tso’s chicken: pretty tasty too, nice and sweet Eggplant with garlic sauce: im picky when it comes to this so this one was just okay. The flavors of the sauce did not transfer to the eggplant itself thus rendering it bland. Fried rice: just so so. Thought it was dry. The servings are plentiful and can feed two for three-four days.

We ordered General Tsos Chicken, Eggplant in garlic sauce, and beef chow ho fun. The order came with our choice of two free sodas or a free fried rice — we went with the rice. Everything but the eggplant was really flavorful. Portion sizes are huge! We will order from Beijing Wok again.

Best Chinese take-out I’ve had. Their lunch specials are an incredible value and I’d always eat lunch there when my schedule allowed it. Granted, I probably gained a few pounds.

The lunch specials here are insane. You get a plate with enough food for two people for like $ 6. In New York. In frigging Manhattan. And it’s good. Like«how the hell is this six dollars» good. Like«I’m worried this is a front for criminal activity» good. They hit all my favorites: Sweet and sour, sesame chicken, chow mei fun, crab rangoons with lots of sweet n sour sauce… and they’re super-fast. Like five minutes and it’s on the counter for you. It gets a little crazy during the weekdays. They don’t have online ordering, but whatever.

The lunch special is truly a solid deal. Their portions are awesome — especially the extra soup they give; I felt like that alone could’ve filled me up a lot(too bad I didn’t realize wonton soup had pork on it and I can’t eat that). I had a shrimp lo mein and a wonton soup which cost me about $ 8(they gave little fortune cookies and this bag of cheddar chips it was so good). Wasn’t the best lo mein in the world but it sufficed. Not too shabby.

I went there for hot & sour soup, but it was not as good as I’ve expected. I also ordered sautéed beef with spicy sauce cuz it looked good from the pic. But, it was not spicy at all… I had to watch some TV series to not pay attention to its plainness. I wouldn’t have given three stars if their price wasn’t good for the portion.

The wontons here used to be a half dozen for $ 2, but the prices are now around $ 4… how time flies. Greasy spoon Chinese food in the area to replace ordering from the now closed Wok & Roll. We’ll have to try a number of dishes to see how it is!

So I moved… I’ve become a nomad… a gypsy… a hippie… So i lost my favorite chinese spot for the SECOND time now… Where I currently am staying temporarily there is a spot right across the street! YES? NOOOOOOOOOOOOO… ordered from them and never again… I ate at 7:30 pm if I gave any more info it would be TMI… So I work in the UES, and my coworker suggest Beijing Wok… and I have formed my 3rd love affair with the stereotypical Chinese take out spot of NYC… Their combo plates are yummy and inexpensive… The Singapore Mei Fun which is my favorite dish is really good if you ask them to tone down the red and green peppers… the hot & sour soup is really good too, BUT to get it no pork you have to order the large size not the small… they are always super fast AND they accept credit cards… I’m not a big fan of their shrimp egg rolls, they are a little bit on the chewy side for my taste… Overall I’m happy that I have found another spot to satisfy my greasy cravings!

Had to write a review. Been a loyal customer for my time in college. Whenever you wanna save money & eat something filling, go for Chinese food. Not the healthiest choice sometimes, but it’ll make do. Don’t know why, but the General Tso’s Chicken just tastes better here. Yes, I’m well aware of the sodium level & the fact that it’s fried chicken that’s stir-fried again to serve. Still, gotta eat my ABC food. It’s a typical take out place. Nothing special. Despite some bad reviews here and there about this place, the people are always busy. The locals know they’re a solid establishment, and that’s why business will always come through. But to thank them for having pulled many students out of hunger, you’ll be getting a 4 star from me. Biased, I know, but had to be done.

this place is just ok. It’s just another cheap, greasy chinese take out place. And they are superfast with their deliverly. One time i got my order within like 7 minutes, and it was hot and fresh. Is it healthy? no, is it salty? yes, is it good? yes. This is the place I always order from when I am craving cheap, greasy chinese food.

I have been living in NYC for almost two years now and had somehow managed to avoid ordering Chinese take out the entire time. But then, boards studying set in and I became desperate for quick and fatty foods that would supply my brain with greasy energy. And so I decided to try Beijing Wok, a popular choice among broke-ass medical students. Craving some tofu, I decided to order the Mapo Tofu, which is on the Sichuanese section of the menu. BIGMISTAKE. What came out was something that screamed«Refrigerator Clean-Out», Chinese style. There were clumps of sour-tasting tofu mixed with a frozen veggie mélange and canned mushrooms swimming in a suspiciously red sauce. The dish was negative for ginger, scallions, chili, bean paste, and garlic… basically all of the ingredients that make this dish flavorful. I also had some of the beef lo mein and all I can say is, grease, grease, and more grease. The sad thing is, I could have whipped up my own mapo tofu in roughly the same amount of time it took for me to walk to the restaurant, wait for the food, and walk back. I will remember this incidence from now on whenever I’m feeling lazy and have a craving for a quick fix of Chinese food.

It’s Chinese take-out, it’s not gourmet. If you can come to terms with that, then this is your place. This small joint is perfectly located if you work on the UES … and/or if you are a Hunter College student. More times than not, you won’t get a seat here, unless you want to play«staring contest!» with the person who decides to sit right in front of you, at the same table. It can get a little awkward. The place can get hectic, and the prices have certainly crept higher over the past few years, but it’s one of the better take-out places around the area. Just be sure to be clear on what you want, and prepare to wait a while for your food, as they are always busy. The last time I went, I got the boneless spareribs special, and I was pretty disappointed. That being said, I’ve usually had decent experiences with the lunch specials here(curry chicken, general tso’s), so I’ll give them another shot soon.
