Came here three days in a row! Every time was better than before. Gotta say had gone bar hopping the previous two times. And the bartenders even gave me insight on the other bars in the area on 2nd and 3rd avenue… Pretty nice décor in the inside and relatively decent prices. But the assistance of the bartenders along with their patience has got to commended… Highly recommend!

I’ve come here twice for the brunch deal and thoroughly enjoyed my meal! We got seated quickly both times, and everyone enjoyed their dishes. I got the banana croissant french toast the first time, which surpassed my expectations since I’m not normally a fan of croissants. The second time I went savory, and enjoyed my eggs florentine just as much as my first meal. I also love how generous their mimosas are! This is my go-to UES brunch spot from now on!

Stopped by early on a Tuesday for a bite and a drink. It was quiet and smelled like wet dog, or more probably like someone had just mopped the floor with dirty water. I have it a try anyway and ordered some appetizers from the sticky menu along with a draft for me and a Guinness for my friend. When the drinks got to the table mine Tasted like it was flat and mixed with water while the head in the Guinness was good, what ever was in the glass was certainly not Guinness. The waitress asked the bartender about it and we were told there was no problem with the line to the tap and that he tasted the beer and thought it just fine.(Glad I didn’t order a mixed drink if he thinks that tasted fine) We left then and there. To their credit or food was on its way out as we were and it looked good, but I wasn’t going to stay to find out. I am not a review writer but I also don’t walk out of restaurants either. This place just rubbed me the wrong way!

Good food, fast service, cold beer, hostess was incredibly nice and seated us promptly. What else can you ask for? Walked in on a whim after a day at the metropolitan and it was well worth it. Defiantly recommend to any and everyone.

Went for New Years. The place was reasonable, but the manager(some woman at the door), was rude to many of the people walking in. She could also be overheard giving an employee a hard time for something(without caring there were people standing around). Overall, 3⁄5 stars. I’d check the place out again, but nothing worth dying for.

Went to Uptown for brunch on Saturday and it was great! There’s so many options and the brunch special is any breakfast/lunch item with 2 drinks. The drinks can be alcoholic, coffee/tea, or soda. Per a person it comes to $ 17, which is very reasonable considering everything it comes with! I ordered the Cobb Salad and I loved it! The dressing was awesome and everything in the salad was delicious. The balsamic dressing was just the way I like it. I really wish the salad was a little bit larger though. I was still hungry when I finished and wish I had more! The rest of the table really enjoyed their meals also! Two people had the chicken sandwich and it looked delicious. Someone else had the salmon Benedict and really liked it. This is a great spot that’s reasonable and delicious. I’m not in the area very often, but would definitely come back for Uptown!

Had to wait for a friend here to have a dinner business party and I found myself a seat at the bar and posted up for two hours. The staff moves fast, the bartenders are excellent and I was well taken care of and she let me know what was gluten-free and I had this chicken satay skewers that were so darn good and tasty. Dipped them in this peanut sauce and bam was good, I’ve never seen Mount Gay Rum anyway latley so I had a few of those on coke and they were excellent. This place was slam packed on like a Wednesday night so I’m guessing it was the local hot spot, took a minute to find the entrance but this place was legit. Nothing«cool» about it just mostly a locals watering hole with some great gastropub dishes. I’d def come back if in the area to grab a drink. Near Upper East Side NYC

Uptown Restaurant & Lounge was so unexpectedly good. It’s a chill bar and lounge that I stumbled upon before going to the 92 Y one evening. Admittedly, its space and menu seems suitable for the Murray Hill neighborhood, but it fares well in the Upper East Side as well. I don’t know what it’s like during the weekends, or what it’s like outside of their Monday night $ 5 burger deals. I only went once for their $ 5 burger. It’s a huge space, with plenty of tables, bar stools, and television sets. It’d be perfect for any type of casual get-together. We ordered their cheeseburger and a side of sweet potato fries. It was a huge burger and the lettuce, tomato, and onion came on the side. The brioche buns were a great touch. The french fries were crispy, and were perfect. I will definitely be back.

Nice spot for a beer and get some food. I went there with my coworkers after work; we had a good time. The music is good, the food is also good, price is ok… the service a little slow but despite that we had a great time.

Nice spot for a beer and a bite. We had beer club here and everyone had a great time. The tap list isn’t too adventurous, but on a Monday when they had $ 5 drafts, nobody was complaining. They also had $ 5 burgers and people loved those too. I went with a veggie flatbread that was excellent. Staff was all very friendly. Service started a little slow but then they got caught up. Definitely a nice place and I will go back.

They love dogs. End of story. If you want to check out a nice little spot for brunch this is the place. I ate outside and it was a perfect New York day. My date wasn’t to bad her self. I got the huevos rancheros and she got the salmon Benedict with a side of strawberry pancakes. Pancakes were great, the eggs were great, and the sweet peach cooler helped make this a 5 star instead of 4. Well the 3 peach coolers did ;-)

Came here on a whim. Someone from the area suggested it so I said why not. Had a somewhat hard time finding the front entrance because it was so much going on in the outside seating area but once I did I was 8n for quite the surprise. Walked thru the long dark corridor and was greater by a friendly hostess. First check plus of the evening. Met my friend at the bar and took a Lil while to order my drink but i wasn’t really in a rush and the place was packed. Heard it was some kind of open tab party at the opposite end of the bar so it explains the craziness inside the place and out. Had a few beers, nothing fancy then ordered the chicken nachos. They were so well done, portion was amazing, and they left me wanting for absolutely nothing. My friend and i shared an order and still couldn’t finish the whole plate. Will definitely be back with friends in the near future!

Wait Time: We had a party of 3 and came at 11:45 on a Sunday and didn’t have to wait to be seated. Wait time for food was a little longer but we had a great convo :) Food: Meals are $ 16.95 and it comes with 2 drinks! Alcoholic beverages included. Extensive menu, so you’ll have plenty of options. We ordered the French toast, steak and eggs, Environment: Rustic, modern décor. Mellow music but once it gets crowded it can get loud. Loved this place! We stayed another hour after we were done eating!

WHOLEINPUT: This is my 3rd time coming to this bar/lounge and I have to say it is my favorite burger spot. I always come in weekday nights and I’ve never had a problem waiting to be seated. The spot is spacious enough for a big party and they even offer packages if you want to host a private event. Moving on, the aura is very chill and relax, something that I love feeling when I’m going out on a week day. When it comes to the menu I usually order the same burger but this time I wanted to try something different so i asked our waiter for a recommendation and I have no regrets. ITWASABSOLUTELYDELICIOUS. I don’t quite remember the name of the burger but let me say it contained onion rings and spinache mixed with swizz cheese(picture under) It was so good!!! my petite self ate the whole burger which I normally dont do. This definitely proved to me that it is one of the best burger restaurants I’ve ever been to! I love Uptown Burgers!!!

Overall, the price is what wins me over here. The service was average. I ordered the smoked salmon omelette. It just didn’t have a lot of flavor. The good news here is that the portion size is perfect and brunch comes with 2 drinks included(mimosa, tea, soda, Bloody Mary).

Came in for a Sunday brunch but it started off quite annoying with a rude hostess. Quick to say without a reservation the wait was going to be a very long wait. I tried to make a reservation but was told they don’t take them for party of less than 4. Get your story straight. Decided to go eat at the bar and was helped by Matt who was really nice and gave some great recommendations. Food was delicious and hit the spot. I’m not sure this is a place for brunch as the restaurant/bar has a strong smell of beer no matter where you are

3.5 stars. Came here for a big 30th Birthday brunch and enjoyed the food– if only the décor and service were on par… Pros: * Uptown is a huge venue with a large and bright(lit by large skylights) semi-private space that can accommodate parties for up to 30 people. My GF’s party of 25 people stood and sat comfortably in this area. * Being a complete lightweight, the bottomless brunch deal was on the pricier side but worth it for those who can really drink: $ 40 for a 3-hour open bar including 1 brunch entrée, tax and gratuity. Open Bar includes bloody mary’s, mimosa, peach bellinis, domestic bottles and drafts & house wine varietals.(NOT included: Cocktails, imported beers, shots, high end scotches and cognacs). * The food here was solid! Recommend the Boneless Buffalo Wings, Nachos Grande(served with melted cheddar & monterey jack cheese, fresh guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream & jalapenos), and Traditional Benedict(with Canadian bacon served With Breakfast Potatoes, Toast and Sausage). * HIGHLY recommend the Sweet Potato Fries, which were some of the BEST I’ve had in NYC(and that says a lot, since I’ve eaten them literally everywhere). The quality of these fries come close to those at Boka. Cons: * Service was really slow and we had to keep reminding the waitress to bring us cocktails to take advantage of the open bar. They also couldn’t bother to give us individual cups of coffee to they left a pot on the back table so we could serve ourselves. * The décor of Uptown is stale and needs a makeover. The bathrooms, walls, and overhead skylight windows look like they haven’t been cleaned for years. It feels like a decrepit dive bar that tries to glam up to become a brunch locale during the day.

Went there for my friends birthday brunch and had a great time there. We had a semi private section in the back of the restaurant. It had good natural lighting making the atmosphere very pleasant. They had waiters coming around refilling our drinks. The mimosa was good not too much juice to take away from the champagne. We had some appetizers but I didn’t get a chance to try them. For the brunch I had the salmon eggs Benedict with potatoes and bacon. The eggs were cooked to my liking. The bacon had the right amount of crispiness. My friend had the steak and eggs, he said the dish was delicious. I would definitely like to come back again for brunch to try the other dishes.

Don’t let the ice cold hostess deter you too much– it gets far better once you make it past the«gatekeeper» up front. Can only speak to this place for brunch, but it’s got a lively weekend vibe with a fixed price brunch that includes 2 drinks. They’ve upped the price in the last year, but the food offerings are tasty and it’s still a good deal if you want your Sunday mimosa fix. They’ve stopped taking weekend reservations online, but apparently they still expect you to call and make a reservation for Sat /Sun — so be forewarned!

Sunday Brunch $ 16.95-brunch entrée and 2 drinks/mimosas included. Great deal, especially for the Upper East Side. Make a reservation if you can as I have seen them turn several people away. I came here last Sunday with a group of friends, we had a reservation. My friend showed up just as they were about to give to give our table away to someone with the same name. They then checked the phone number the reservation was under and we got our table right away. Service: The service was pretty good. I read previous reviews indicating otherwise, but our server was helpful and there when you needed her for the most part. Food: Lots of egg dishes with a couple of potatoes and choice of meat. My friends seemed satisfied. Nothing orgasmic though. I had the croissant french toast. I like that it had lots of berries and that it wasn’t soggy. I added a side of bacon to get some protein in there and my tummy was happy. Drinks: Make sure you let them know you want the 2 drinks included. If you say unlimited, it’s $ 10 more for two hours, unless you want to pay $ 26.95 and get a mimosa headache. I wish they had more of a variety of brunch cocktails included like a bellini or something. We decided against the unlimited that day because we had things to do. Ambiance: Lots of wood, decent bar area, a mixture of large high pub tables and bench seating for larger groups and then single tables. The lighting was good, kind of a dark place in a good way. I really think the owners should look at redesigning their space in terms of seating. The bench seating is slightly awkward so they either need higher tables or more room behind the table to pull it out a little bit so everyone can easily fit and not knee bump one another. Honestly, I feel if they reconfigure the whole back seating area they can fit a few more tables in without it being overcrowded. Overall Experience: Good value for your money. Come here to catch up with your friends over decent food. Much better and way less greasy then the diners nearby. They have great burgers here, so I am thinking of coming here on a Monday night when they have $ 5 burgers when you order a drink.
