Barbara’s Flowers is one of the most professional florist. I met with Tara and she offered me the best customer service. She was able to pull together a beautiful bouquet for my mother’s birthday at the very last minute and my mom loved the flowers. I absolutely appreciated her welcoming and professional charm and demeanor. I took a hand full of business cards to help support this business. I would recommend Barbara’s flowers to any and everyone.

You have to pre order white roses a day before, but I was able to get a beautiful arrangement for my best friend who just had a baby boy. They were very helpful and swift.

Such an awesome vendor. As a wedding planner, they are always my go to for flowers and design. So incredibly helpful, insightful and creative. I look forward to working with them again.

Now I preface this by saying I have always had an awesome experience when using Barbara’s flowers, so as I plan my wedding who else would I call but the florist who always delivers with superb service and stunning arrangements at a price point that do not make me cringe or break the bank?
That said, I have being trying to schedule a consultation with them for my wedding in November since mid-​June. I have spent the last 6 weeks calling, stopping by, speaking to the other staff — anything to get Tara on the phone to see what can or cannot be done, Hell even to see if my date was doable and available.
After stopping by twice and calling more than a dozen times I received an email today from the gentleman on staff — not even Tara herself, who is the person I was promised would get in touch with me telling me they’d be unable to service me on my wedding date due to a few annual standing contracts. YOU MAKE ME WAIT 6 WEEKS TO TELL ME YOU CAN’T DO IT, DUE TO EVENTS YOU’VE HAD ON THE CALENDAR FOR OVER A YEAR!!! WTH!!!

Barbara’s was wonderful! I went for a last minute floral arrangement and it was absolutely beautiful. The two men working there were very knowledgeable and accommodating.

I gotta say they did do a great job. The flowers were perfect, because I ordered the flowers from Los Angeles for my gf in New York. It was the way I imagine it to be and most important, it put a very big smile onto my gf face. Thank U.
The flowers lasted over 7days, I’m going to order some more in the near future, an amazing beautiful woman like my gf, deserves beautiful flowers.

How great is Barbara’s Flowers?
I’ve been a member of Unilocal since 2008 and am writing my first review because they’re so good I feel like I have to.
Everything from their flexibility in pricing based on arrangement to quick responsiveness and eagerness to please was impressive.
I’ll definitely be ordering from Barbara’s flowers again.

Tara and her team at Barbara’s Flowers really outdid themselves at our wedding. Tara and her design team were extremely accommodating to my specific requests, especially when comprehending my vision, and couldn’t have been more generous with their support and suggestions to complement my vision.
I wish there was something negative that I could write so this review doesn’t read as ingratiating, but there really isn’t anything that I could say. The flowers were fresh, the arrangements were gorgeous, and the tablescape/​wall accent décor was breathtaking. Tara helped me decide on every element from the linens and chairs to the tablescape and wall accents too! I really don’t know what I would’ve done without her!

I have worked with Tara on multiple projects both professionally and personally and have experienced creative magic and artistry at its best. Tara and her team deliver a breathtaking presentation on every occasion that incorporates your vision and a splash of enhancement with the element of surprise and delight. Barbara’s Flowers (BF) came through on short notice. FTD would not deliver because the order was 20 minutes after its cutoff. Discovered BF online and called them directly. Initially, they said that it was past the cutoff time and that the driver was gone making the last deliveries for the day. However, because of the proximity of the destination, the salesperson said that he would ensure that it got there that evening in time for the birthday festivities. And sure enough, I got a call an hour later from my friend, who loved the beautiful, unexpected birthday bouquet. Great job BF. You are my BFF.

We worked with Tara to create the floral arrangements for our wedding. She was on a list of venue-​approved florists, and I scheduled a phone meeting with her and two other florists from the list. Here’s where other florists failed and where Tara excelled:
Knowledge: She was the only one who sounded like she knew what she was doing. She really understood the space and could offer me specific advice as what might look best. Tara is also just really charming and lovely. She strikes a great balance between artist and business person, and based on my discussions with other florists, it seems that can be hard to do.
Attitude: She listened, intuited what I was looking for, gently made suggestions and recommendations so as not to invoke Bridezilla, and respected our overall feeling re: the aesthetic. Other florists made it clear that they wanted to do what they wanted to do and would «yes» me, but then go on to describe what they normally do or what they like to do. Tara is the only one who internalized OUR vision & delivered on that.
Customer Service: With other florists, calls were not returned, proposals were not sent, and it took weeks to get anything in writing from them. Hello? I’m trying to give you many thousands (gulp) of dollars. Act like you care. Tara sent me a neat, clean, concise, and professional proposal by e-​mail very shortly after having talked to her. Prices were fair and well-​explained and broken down into ceremony flowers, reception flowers, etc. so we could easily trim costs if we needed to.
Delivery: Our flowers were there and ready to go. I never had to worry about Tara’s competence and that was a great stress-​alleviator on our big day. Everything was exactly right and represented what we had discussed.
Overall, excellent experience with Barbara’s Flowers.

Barbara’s is fantastic!
I was heading up to my girlfriend’s place one day and decided to get her flowers. I called them about 15 minutes ahead of time and they created a perfect spring bouquet that my girlfriend adored. And the price was unreal… other shops in manhattan would cost double or triple what Barbara charged. As this shop is perfectly placed right between my place and my GFs, I will be returning quite a bit in the future. A solid go to for all things floral.

They delivered in spades — anniversary flowers delivered 60 – 70 blocks south on short notice. also very receptive to ideas on the phone and made suggestions that led to some spectacular, very non-​average flowers.

i hired Barbara’s flowers for a small intimate but VERY important event a few months ago and i am so happy I did. They were able to accommodate me on my very short notice and were extremely professional but most importantly everyone was very nice and understanding of my needs (budget, mother in-​law, and timing). I will use them for all my floral needs from now on, they made me look like the party planner of the year!

I got married almost 2 years ago and unfortunately made the mistake of hiring a terrible wedding planner that left everything to the last minute. Fortunately for me, she had an amazing assistant that had the brilliant idea to contact Barbara’s Flowers. A mere 2 weeks before my wedding, I met with the owner’s daughter who immediately saw my vision and made it come true… and right on budget! My flowers were AMAZINGLY gorgeous and to this day I think of them as my «floral angels». Thank you so much for making my wedding day into a fairytale.

Great prices, beautiful presentation and friendly people. I wanted some flowers to add a touch of spring to my apartment, told the guy that I wanted to spend $ 40, and walked away with a beautiful bouquet of purple lilies, orange roses, red orchids and pretty light and dark tropical greens. It was beautifully arranged and wrapped with bamboo and bright green tissue.
I really love it, and it would easily cost $ 80+ somewhere else in NYC or from 1−800-flowers. I didn’t love that they don’t have their cut flowers out on display — it’s obvious most of their $$ comes in from events and deliveries — but I’m glad I trusted them with my money anyway.
If you’re looking for something very specific I’d give them a call and make a special request in advance, rather than trying to stop in on the fly. I don’t think their inventory is consistent or expansive, more overage from their large orders.
They will definitely be my go to florist, I’m more than glad to spend my money locally and get a very pretty bang for my buck.
