Good for the best bagels in the area not the atmosphere just to pick up and go Fresh food and a big selection

They have blueberry bagel! And they have lattes and espressos, not just coffee. I appreciate that they put in some money to make the place look half decent. They put in time to decorate with art and paint the walls. They have a $ 5 card minimum. It’s currently hidden away due to city scaffolding.

delivery driver spoke horrible broken English. didn’t want to come up to my apt.(i have an elevator) & i ordered pastrami on rye sandwich and the same thing on a bagel. with a pepsi and oj. how in the entire FUCK did that come out to $ 22.50?! i saw«fresh squeezed oj» on the menu for 3.50 they send me a fucking small carton of tropicana! this sandwich is dry as hell. neveeerrr ordering from here again. I’ve had sandwiches double this size for less and they were better quality.

Can’t believe I haven’t written a review about this place! I’ve only ordered from here, and have not actually visited the place, so this review is based solely on delivery. Alright, ordered off of seamless — which is great because it makes it so easy! And who really wants to talk to someone on the phone in the morning?? My orders consist only of bagels, I’ve gotten everything bagels, everything wheat bagels, plain bagels, and garlic bagels. Primarily with scallion cream cheese, but sometimes I’ll order a ¼lb of plain cream cheese on the side… Great bagels! Each and every one of them were delectable! Soft and chewy, with a nice crust but nothing too hard to bite into. When they spread the cream cheese for you, they give you just the right amount — not too little, but also not too much. It’s really great! I love the scallion cream cheese; I find it has a lot of flavor. The plain is good as well, but i recommend mixing it up because they have so many different flavors! Overall, the delivery was fast, bagels are to die for, they’re cheap, and on seamless! What’s not to love?! Order from this place if you’re in the area and looking for some good bagels! I vote these bagels over Bagels & More!

They were open during the snow storm. They delivered a ton of stuff to me, through the snow. It was all delicious. The bagels are much larger than the bagels at Bagel Bobs. I’ve been consistently disappointed with the lack of timely and cordial service at Bagel Bobs, and when they were closed the other day during the storm, I tried Bagel Express. I used to like this place back in the 90’s. It figures that they are still around. They deliver faster, have larger bagels, and are less expensive than Bagel Bobs, who didn’t even respond to me regarding an insanely rude delivery guy I had to deal with recently, so I’m officially making the switch to Bagel Express. I spend $ 100’s a month at my official bagel place and it’s clear Bagel Bob’s does not care about its regular customers in the neighborhood, so I’m happy to have found Bagel Express, who will hopefully provide better service! One more thing, the side of home fries here is also much larger and tastier than it is at Bob’s. In short, this seems to be the best bagel place in this neighborhood!

The worst chicken cutlet wrap I ever had in my life. The cutlet was sitting at the showcase I am sure for a long time it was very hard to chew and the guy picked out a tiniest one from the basket on top of it all. Horrible service and they work like they just don’t care about customers. I will not go back

Nice, convenient bagel place. That’s what sticks out about this place. Fairly fast service. I tried the poppy seed bagel and olive cream cheese. It tasted like olive cream cheese — an almost salty sweet. The coffee was too sweet. $ 5 credit card minimum.

Best bagels on the upper east side, hands down. Also, the ABSOLUTEWORSTSERVICE on the upper east side. They consistently mess up delivery orders, and are rude when you call to tell them your order is wrong. On bacon egg and cheese bagels they seem to like to rotate which ingredient to leave off. They famously send you the correct bagel with the wrong kind of cream cheese. Or instead of a bagel they give you a roll with the correct cream cheese. It’s always a fun surprise to see what part of your order is incorrect.

Great little spot. Just discovered it. Good bagels. Good menu selection. I would suggest getting an egg sandwich combo or platter. It’s a food deal. Comes with home fries and coffee. Heads up, it’s reaally popular on the weekends, so plan on waiting a while in line. They could use a few more hands. The guys on the line are so obviously stressed out just trying to keep up with the demand of the crowd. But if you are a patient person it’s great!

I grew up a Jew in NY. I know my bagels. And these are some of the best bagels I’ve had, upper east side, or elsewhere! Whole wheat everything with lox spread is my go-to, and I’ll order another WWE with scallion cream cheese if I’m feeling ambitious or I’ve already worked out at the 92Y that morning! Prices are fine. Expect crazy long lines on weekend mornings. I’ve waited 20 minutes before on a Sunday at 10. Word had gotten out: this place is great.

Hot diggity! The best bagels I’ve ever had! The service here is quick and efficient! I ordered the Egg and Cheese on an egg bagel. It was definitely enough to keep you feeling full until at least lunch time. The bagel was out of this world: perfectly chewy/soft/moist on the inside and crispy on the outside, but not too crispy that you can’t comfortably bite through it. When I had this bagel, I doubted if I had ever consumed a true bagel. I also got a coffee and bagel with a strawberry cream cheese(generous serving, and not too dense), and it was also out of this world.

I was craving a whole wheat everything bagel and searched on Unilocal for bagel places on UES. Based on the mixed reviews regarding the service and this place being somewhat overpriced I wasn’t sure what to expect. This place is located on 2nd Ave so you will have to deal with the ongoing construction mess of the 2nd Ave subway line. Once inside the place is pretty spacious and has nice exposed brick walls. There are lots and lots of bagel options to choose from and I can see someone being overwhelmed by the vast selection. Fortunately for me when it comes to food, I have a one track mind. I knew immediately that I wanted a whole wheat everything bagel toasted with butter. My friend took a bit longer to decide, she went with an onion bagel with cream cheese. Everyone working there was very friendly and helpful to us! The total for our 2 bagels and a soda was around $ 5.50, definitely no complaints there. I loved that my bagel was drenched in butter! I absolutely love butter and they really slather the butter. My only complaint was that in my opinion my bagel was a bit too toasted, a few more seconds and it would have burnt. Other than that this place was great!

Came here for a late breakfast one day. I got two different everything bagels with lox smear. The smear could have used a little bit more salmon, but it was just the right amount and the bagel was nicely toasted. I also indulged my sweet tooth a bit with a black and white cookie and some raspberry cookie thing. Their menu is pretty huge so there’s something for everyone. The service was fast and courteous. I didn’t stay and eat, so I can’t comment on their wait staff.

Love this place! The staff is very friendly but the only trouble I’ve seemed to have here is language barrier, if I’m 100% honest. I’ve had a couple of totally different orders given to me out of misunderstandings. They’ve been really nice about it and I keep coming back since its the best bagels in the area! Its hard to tell the place exists due to the 2nd ave construction but its the best!

Great bagels and great food, but their service is really lacking especially if you’re placing an order for delivery over the phone. I order breakfast here every weekend. And every weekend, without fail, the delivery man gets lost. ** Update 12⁄19 — it took two hours to get a bagel this morning. So, it’s time to find a new bagel place. **

Never going back here. I came here a few times because I always had decent food and the line moved quickly. But I had a bad experience with their service. These items are NOT cheap and since I am trying to be healthy I wanted to get the veggie omelette but without the potatoes and bagel. Since I did not get a «sandwich» they still charged me the platter price(almost 7 dollars) for JUST the omelette(smaller than an average one). Even though I argued that I did not want the potatoes and bread, they still charged me that price because it came in a BOX and wasn’t a sandwich. Absolutely ridiculous. At least offer your customers a healthy substitute or a lower price for just the eggs. You lost two valuable customers today.

They have some really amazing bagels and spreads here! I’ve been several times already and have only lived in town a few weeks. My favorite spread by far is the salmon cream cheese. It is heavenly! Bagels are pretty cheap at $ 1 each, and adding cream cheese is around $ 1 more. They have a variety of spreads for all tastes, too, including vegan tofu cream cheese and avocado cilantro spread. They also have quite a few lunch sandwich specials that are around $ 7 and include fries and a drink. And they serve breakfast all day. You can’t go wrong here!

I’ve eaten at all the bagel places on the UES and these guys are the BEST! I don’t know what the attitude issues are that other Unilocalers are experiencing — maybe I’m going at an easier time of day. Also love the tofu cream cheese options!

I’ve been to Bagel Express countless times and the bagels never disappoint. My bagel views were changed when I discovered the everything whole wheat bagel! Pros: The bagels and spreads are fresh They have a ton of bagel and spread varieties as well as other toppings Cons: The lines are ridiculously long especially on the weekend(but they move semi fast) They are guaranteed to mess up at least one of your orders the more frequently you go there The staff isn’t friendly and they don’t have great customer service experience Even though the staff and how they organize the lines is terrible the food is worth trying just once.

The best bagel place in the area. Their bagels are fresh and delicious. It gets kind of crowded on the weekend but that’s to be expected. I’ve had their breakfast sandwiches as well and they are solid. Prices are reasonable for Manhattan.
