I think for the most part the bagels are decent, that’s why I’m not giving it one star. Their service in my opinion is horrific. It’s quick, they are ready, but on numerous occasions I have had trouble ordering. Once I came in and ordered a green tea with one splenda. As I’m ordering, in the middle of it, the guy turns away to talk to one of his co workers. Then looks back at me and says «coffee? No, I want green tea with one splenda. Then he makes it an says to me «sugar». This has happened to me on numerous occasions and it’s so very annoying. They get my order wrong about 1 out of 3 times. Last week I ordered a pumpernickel (he’s interrupted, looks back) what? A pumpernickel bagel, light on the (he looks away again) cream cheese. He says «what» So repeat real slow like I’m talking to a stupid person because I was «I WAANTT A PUUUUMPERRNNIICCKKEELL BAAAAGEEEELLL LIGHT OOONN CREAM CHEEESE. He gets pissed off and tells me to relax. GO elsewhere

I would give this place zero stars if that was an option! Ordered breakfast from here and waited TWO HOURS AND FIVE MINUTES AND THE FOOD NEVER CAME!!! The people at the store couldn’t get in touch with their delivery guy for nearly forty minutes and then said he was 1 minute away for another 40 minutes! The most horrible delivery experience. We will never order again!!!

Came here during the summer and I loved it so much I knew I had to come back.
I ordered the everything bagel (toasted) with regular cream cheese and it’s delicious. The bagel is savory, but not overwhelming. The service is friendly (but fast). I came in when there was virtually no line, so that was a plus as well. I ordered a café au lait to sip on and that was good as well.
Overall, if you’re looking for a quick but delicious bite to eat, I definitely recommend this place!

Love love love their bagels! It is really a great neighborhood spot where you end up bumping into a lot of neighborhood people. Very fast paced with a vintage NY feel. The guys behind the counter are hard working and I am amazed how they are able to remember everything everyone is shouting at them. It would easily have had 5 stars from me if it weren’t for the occasional rude comments from the cashier. I get you have to move the line along and I get there is some NY «charm» in being loud, animated and short but sometimes it is just plain rude, sloppy and not how you do business. Sorry.

I am very unhappy with my first time experience here. I ordered 2 bacon egg and cheeses over an hour ago and it has still not arrived. When I called, the employee said that the delivery guy was on the way. I’m not sure if I will order from here again. Perhaps it will be a better experience to go and just pick up a bagel than to have it delivered.

I love this place so much. Price is great, the location is near and dear to my heart, the bagels and rolls are always fresh, and the service is fast. This bagel spot is an institution on York. Whenever I am in the area, I stop by to grab a toasted roll with butter, yummmmmm SO GOOD.

Bagel Bobs is the best bagels in the city– I’ve been coming here for years and my weekend mornings (afternoons? eesh) aren’t complete without it. Friendly staff, quick moving line. These are the real deal fresh baked NYC bagels, not some tourist shlock. I like the flat bagels, the bialys and the veggie, salmon, and scallion cream cheeses. I also usually get some tuna salad to go for the week, and they have fun juice/​soda selection in the glass cases. (I like Dr. Browns Black Cherry or V8). The mini chocolate chip muffins are such a tempting treat on the way out =)

Pleasantly chewy fresh bagels, efficient/​polite service, and open super early. Yummy veggie cream cheese. They even have mini-​bagels available, a real rarity in a town where the average bagel seems to have reached hubcap size. Personally, the mini-​bagels are a perfect size for me, but their regular bagels are very generously sized for a good price.
Their home fries are pretty meh but eggs are well executed. I’ve also ordered via Seamless and they’ve delivered pretty quickly without a hitch.

If you want a good NYC bagel, that won’t take a while and not at a crazy price definitely the spot for you. Guys behind the counter were solid guys who knew what they were doing!

This was my second time at bagel bobs. The first time I got a bagel with veggie cream cheese which was great. This time I was super hungry from the gym and decided to go for their tuna melt.
(1) the cheese on the sandwich was sliced processed cheese and NOT cheddar as advertised.
(2) the cheese looked grilled on the slice of tomato; however, when I touched it, it was cold
(3) the sandwich was overall cold!
(4) I asked it to be heated and the person heated it in a microwave!!! Thus it was super hot and chewy and I burnt my tongue.
(5) the overall taste was bland and boring.
This place is right across my house, but I’ll never go into it again. :(I am so so so disappointed. I may never eat any tuna melt again!
The two stars are for the good bagel and friendly staff

Bagel Bob’s is across the street from where I stay in NYC. I’ve been going for over 15 years.
You walk up to the counter, order and then pay. You may have to wait a few minutes if it is rush hour… But it is totally worth the wait.
There are a few tables… But for no more than 15 people at a time can be seated.
I always get a toasted bagel with nova lox, tomato, caper, onion and cream cheese… So yummy.
My sister always gets an ham and egg bagel– she swears by it.
You can’t go wrong with anything here!

i’ve been living by bagel bob’s for almost a year and only tried it for the first time over the weekend. really pleasant experience after going to tal’s bagels (and even H and H on the UES).
walked in and it was really crowded but the line moved fast. nice menu with wraps, sandwiches, bagels and soups.
bagels looked and smelled incredibly fresh. I got a whole wheat everything bagel with cream cheese, lox and onion. i’m docking a star because they kind of skimped on the lox. otherwise the bagel was great. one of the best whole wheat everythings i’ve had in the city. sufficiently doughy with a crunch outside. can’t get much better than that.
i look forward to returning to try some other things on the menu. and i will definitely be returning.

I LOVE Bob’s bagels! Its sooo deliciously fresh. I love the garlic bagel with scallion cream cheese, holy crap… in heaven! We ate several other bagels and CC combinations, all very good. They are fast, so move to the side if you are deciding, then order quick! Great place for simple bagel and coffee :)

I have been going to Bagel Bob’s for quite some time. They have a large selection of bagels, sandwiches, salads, desserts, and beverages. Everything I have gotten here has been delicious and so fresh tasting. They are usually quite busy so it is almost assembly line ordering, but the ones who take your order and the cashier guy are very personable and friendly. The last time I was there they didn’t have the bagel I wanted but by the time I got to checkout, the guy who took my order noticed that fresh bagels of that kind had just came out, so he changed my order and gave me the fresh piping hot bagels I had originally wanted. This was beyond sweet. I think these guys have great customer service skills and I will continue to go here for all of my bagel needs.

Bagel Bob’s is everything you want in a deli/​bagel shop. They’re fast, they’re friendly and they’re reasonably priced. I usually order the pumpernickel bagel with butter or the Russian Panini.
I’m not a bagel snob, at least not yet, but I really like the bagels. They’re fluffy, big and kosher (if that’s important to you… I don’t keep kosher but it’s nice to know I could bring my Orthodox friends here.)
These guys are also the nicest in Yorkville, in terms of customer service. Midnight Express and Luigi’s, take notes.

Just steps away from the park make this an ideal place to grab a bagel. We went on a Sunday and experienced a few minutes of waiting despite the long line. Service was very efficient. We got an everything bagel with herb and garlic cream cheese and vegetable cream cheese. The cream cheese was plenty, not too much but not too little either. The bagel was fresh and chewy!
Funny story: I think the counter guy thought I was Hispanic because he spoke to me in rapid fire Spanish. It was funny, happened to me in Cuba too.
