I got the hot chocolate with marshmallows for 4.75 to go and although it tasted good, i wish it was hotter than what I got. Their food menu looked interesting and although i didn’t get anything to eat, i ll probably be back to try the pastries and other desserts. It s a good change from the usual starbucks or dunkin donuts

I went in the morning for a bagel with cream cheese. They said that we don’t have any at the moment. I said okay, i’ll come back later. So, I went 2 hours later. I received my bagel with cream cheese. I went all the back to my office, opened the bagel and found no cream cheese. I went back to Aroma and said you just gave me a plain bagel. They said oh sorry, and they charged me another $ 1.09 for the cheese which they shouldn’t have because of there mistake. They didn’t even bother reheating my bagel. By the time I got back to my office, the bagel is cold and time consuming for me. They shouldn’t have charged me an extra $ 1, they should had reheated it as well.

I’ve been to Aroma a number of times. I’ll start with the good. Their menu is refreshing. The bread on the sandwiches always send fresh. You can come here and have a wide variety of healthy options with minimal alterations. Their coffee and pastries are great. This is all ok if you’re getting to go. Now for the bad. The café fixtures/furnishings are worn and dated. This could have used a renovation 4 years ago. There is seating for about 10 in smaller tables. They also have 3 high tables that could hold at least 12 combined, maybe 18. For these, they have 6 stools. Hope you don’t mind standing. One of my favorite choices here is the warm chicken salad. It used to contain peanuts but for whatever reason they were eliminated. Also, on several occasions it seems more like a carrot and tomato salad as there was little lettuce. Chicken has always been adequate. This last time I pointed out the disproportion and the staff member said«thank you for letting us know». Now, I didn’t ask for anything(free) but I expected more than a thank you. I’ve also been to their Soho and UWS cafes and they all seen just as dated. Still not a terrible option but I may take it out of my lunch rotation.

Aroma is the best coffee shop originally from Israel. If I go to Aroma, I always have to have an ice aroma. For anyone who hasn’t had one before… You’re missing out. An ice aroma is basically an iced coffee that’s blended. It’s delicious! Also, I happen to love their breakfast specials and salads. My personal favorite is the Halumi salad!

Was surprised with their fancy cup! The americano was nice, good bean! It has very nice comfortable seat and plenty selection of food and drink. Better than starbucks that alway packed with lost tourists and homeless but unfortunately no rest room here. Too bad!

Great WiFi. Good booths for long sessions. Great place to work and enjoy a latte. Lots of space at this location allows for ample choice. They are quick with long line ups.

Limited seating and decently long wait times, but I love the grilled chicken sandwich with aroma sauce! Various egg sandwiches, caprese sandwiches and eggplant sandwiches are all delicious. Full sandwich is pretty hearty and will fill you up.

Delicious coffee and croissants and fast service. Not much seating inside so don’t expect to stick around if you go– plan on possibly needing to order to-go.

Good place to do a quick work meeting. Everything is clean and orderly but somewhat soul-less, so not much to write home about. Tried the fresh-pressed juice, which was tasty. Warning: they have the A/C on full blast, so bring an extra layer if you’re planning on staying a while.

FINALLY a place with some super potent espresso for their Americano. I love my coffee black when it’s GOOD coffee and this place definitely gave me the confidence that I’ll be awake, even after having a really strong margarita from El Rio. There’s not much seating so don’t expect to get one during peak hours. The only downside I felt was the prep time — it took an excessively long time to make 2 iced Americanos — it felt like it was 10 minutes. My colleagues had to wait A WHILE after getting their coffees — including my fellow officemate and Unilocaler, Jamie, who recommended this place. He was right — their coffee IS bomb! I also loved the cute complimentary aroma chocolate offered with each cup of whatever goodness you order. They have free WiFi — another plus but not a huge one, since most cafes offer that nowadays — it would just be a major minus if they didn’t have it.

I like aroma for the following reasons: — almond milk latte(yes, almond milk in midtown) — cappuccinos — free wi-fi — halumi salad — warm chicken caesar salad — cookies with dulce de leche(so Good) Only con is limited seating.

Update: I received a very thoughtful message from the restaurant after they saw this review. «Upon receiving the complaint, I contacted the produce company and informed them about the situation. I also sent them the picture you uploaded and demanded them to provide us with a thorough investigation from their end, as they provide us with the washed mixed greens. They replied to me immediately and I should get results from them within a few days. On our end, we issued an instruction to make sure that all greens are being washed, even if they are pre-washed, as in the case of the mixed greens.» Glad to see they are taking this seriously!

How I’ve missed having an Aroma by my apartment and work. It’s a total lunch spot with great combo deals. The salads are ginormous and all soups are vegetarian. I’ve tried all their salads, which are all great except the Bulgar grain salad. There’s about five scoops of tomato and cucumber to one scoop of grain with four olives. My suggestion to them is to chop up the olives, so you’re not getting a super salty whole olive one bite, then a totally bland the next bite. It’s also a great espresso bar, and they always give you a small piece of chocolate to go!

Good coffee but it was a pity the cashier was just mean to me. He treated the lady in front of me like a princess and talked to me as if I was a pest/piece of trash. I was extremely nice to him, was very polite but he was just moody, and looked reluctant to help me with my order. It doesn’t matter how good your coffee is, when you have staff who mistreat customers, you have lost them forever.

Ugh okay, so I’m totally bias and am always in favor of Aroma IN Israel as opposed to New York, but this will do. I will say, I do think the coffee is better than the food, but the food is still good. It’s a solid lunch spot offering a lot of food for a reasonable price. The food is higher quality too and the salads are MASSIVE! I happen to love the warm garbanzo one and I add grilled halloumi cheese, yum! The one thing Aroma is known for is always throwing in a few chocolates with your order. Other NYC locations always give you a lot, but this one cheaps out a little. I guess it’s more waistline-firendly that way so thanks?

This is a cute café that’s right off the bus stop and near Grand Central! I hung out here for a bit, as I had their hot chocolate. I liked how when I mixed it in, it was filled with real chocolate versus the powder! I also love Aroma’s signature of having a lil’ piece of chocolate with every drink you get!

I ordered from seamless for pick up here yesterday. Our order had an egg and cheese croissant with turkey bacon, kale salad with croutons and extra mushrooms, an almond latte and a skin blended ice coffee. When I looked online, I saw the picture of the kale salad and it looked pretty plain with just mushrooms, tomatoes, and almonds so didn’t read what was in it and just ordered it. When I picked it up, I saw it had A LOT of parmaesan cheese but I was already far from the place and couldn’t go back. I guess I should have read the description but the picture was highly misleading. My friend said the croissant was way too buttery but it was ok. She did not like her iced coffee at all though. The almond latte was really good and I would definitely come back for that if I was in the area.

I just started a new job nearby and was thinking this would be my go-to spot for morning coffee. Wrong. I have now officially given this place three chances and there has been an issue each time. I’m no umpire, but they’re out. Visit #1: Took them 10 mins to «prepare» my brewed coffee. I had to ask where it was. Visit #2: Took them 10 mins to «prepare» my iced coffee. Again, I had to inquire about it. Visit #3: My manager bought us coffees and paid with a $ 20 bill. She was given change as though she paid with a $ 10 bill and when she brought it to their attention, the server gave a look of disdain and actually challenged her on it. They counted the contents of the drawer and then disappeared into the back to review the security camera footage. Seriously? Over $ 10? We left. I won’t be going back.

I love this place. It is the only pleasant experience on my dreadful walk to my dreadful job on dreadful 42nd street.(yeah, I’m complaining about things I should be grateful for, but am pretty sure my job could win worst of the year award in NYC). First the aroma outside… heavenly. Then the delicious, healthy fresh squeezed juice I ordered that I swear cured my sore throat right away. The most delicious fresh baked warm banana nut muffin loaded with huge walnuts. The little chocolate they give me with my tea.(their coffee is okay, not great, but I’m concentrating on the 5 star items here at this place that is the only bright spot of my mornings). The nice counter person who wished me a good day and smiled — the only nice comment or smile I would be given that long, dreadful workday cooped up in an office with ego-maniac, control freak Finance nuts. Thanks Aroma.
