Aaron’s Steaks

This place should be shut down. Called an hour beyond the estimated delivery time. They lied twice about the expected arrival time, then refused to pick up the phone, and still did not show up. Staff was tremendously disrespectful. Do yourself a favor and don’t ever order from here, and help send these guys out of business. Pathetic excuse for a restaurant.

My husband ordered from here for delivery extra long wait time, Salad was missing toppings, he was starving so he didn’t care when it got here, I on the other hand hate paying for Extra’s and not getting them utter BS, I will never order from them again if my husband does I’ll go out to eat or make an egg

You guys weren’t lying the wait time is horrible. After an hour of waiting my food still has not arrived. 1 ½ hours it took, and the sandwich wasn’t that great. It had no flavor to it at all. I also had the sweet potato fries which were really good, either that or I was just super hungry. I honestly couldn’t finish the sandwich because of the lack of flavor. Never again!

I used to love the food from here but I just ordered and what I got was so nasty I threw half of it. The steak was greasy and black, the provolone cheese was almost non existent and the .50 cent hot sauce never made it. On top of that it was more than 40 minutes late. Never ordering from here again.

I really should have checked Unilocal before ordering delivery from this place. Ordered at 12:17 PM. Food finally arrived at 2:00 PM. A burger and cheese waffle fries. All very cold and soggy. The cheese sauce was even watered down! WTF? Avoid.

This was my worst seamless experience to date. Delivery took over an hour and 45 minutes, and when we called for an update about an hour in, they told us it was on the way. When the food finally arrived, the order was wrong (missing additional toppings from our sandwiches), and everything from the mozzarella sticks to waffle fries were soggy upon arrival. Avoid this place at all costs.

Terrible Delivery time. I waited over 2 hours for 1 steak sandwich. I live 1 avenue away… literally. I’m actually still waiting now as i write this.
Now here i am — i’m hangry and writing a bad Unilocal review. This isn’t good for either of us,

However, you do get one star because the one time i did receive my sandwich — it was pretty delicious (but not delicious enough to wait almost 2 hours for one).

Delivery took an hour. Fries were NOT waffle fries they were steak fries — a big difference. Cheese was awful, so was chili. Barely any cheese on the cheesesteak and same with the onions. Steak was also way better than the chicken. It just wasn’t good, thankfully I had a coupon.

Oh, if only Seamless and Unilocal would merge, so I would have seen these reviews before ordering. They claim to have a 30 – 45 min delivery time on Seamless. I ordered a burger and fries at 9:55pm, it finally at 11:50pm. At 11:05, I was told it would arrive in 4 minutes. At 11:30, I was told it would arrive in 2 minutes. The food was what I had wanted 2 hours earlier, but by time it arrived, I only wanted to be in bed. I will never order from Aaron’s again.

Yes, this place has some issues with delivery but their cheesesteaks satisfy my craving for one. Extra cheese is a must, though. Their meat is slightly thicker, but still chopped enough. Never had a problem with texture and the regular fries are worth a try.

It took an hour for delivery even though it’s just a few blocks from my apartment. And the bread was burned. Much better steak places in the city, go somewhere else.

This place sucks! I ordered a steak sandwich and I’ve got chopped meat sandwich. The sweet potatoes were burned. Also I’m leaving a block away from the restaurant and the delivery came after a hour! Don’t u guys buy from here!!! Never!!!

Why are these people in the food business??? Never again. Gross, inedible and an insult in NYC. Close shop, Aaron! You shouldn’t be serving food. You obviously don’t care about it. I’d like my money back… and the 1.5 hours lost of my life waiting for the cold, soggy delivery.

I’ve ordered here for delivery 3 times. Decent cheesesteak, chicken Philly was pretty gross though. Chili cheese waffle fries were above average. Never had any of the delivery issues most other people here had. At this point I’m so down on cheesesteaks that if it’s actual steak and not fried roast beef it’s an automatic 4 stars. I wouldn’t walk in here and have no clue where it is, but I think it’s the most solid delivery cheesesteak option there is on the UES.

Wow so this is my second time ordering from Aaron’s. FYI I didn’t realize this was the same place I poorly reviewed two months ago so here we go again.
Wow, 30 – 45 minute wait. I can deal with that. Especially cuz work was cancelled tomorrow and I was so pumped me and my roomie drank a bottle of wine laying on the floor of our living room.
So, yeah we’re not super upset that our joint cheesesteak isn’t here right on time. But, I am clearly worried about this delivery guy.
I mean, work was canceled. Which means people in this city are concerned. DeBlasik cares. So I called Aaron’s to express my concern and they assured me the delivery man was alive and well and on his way.
But, it’s been 1.5 hours since I placed my order and more importantly 25 minutes since someone last assured me the delivery man was alive so I just don’t know how to feel
I hope for our sake the cheesesteak gets here soon

I wish I had read the reviews first as well. It’s been 75 minutes so I call to check and they tell me they are «making it now». Are you kidding me?! Terrible service! If they are going to double their delivery time it would be appropriate to call the customer.

I really should have checked Unilocal *before* ordering through Seamless. I would have decided against it had I seen such low ratings.
This place definitely does not serve Philly cheesesteaks. They serve super finely chopped (nearly minced) meat on a footlong hotdog bun that gets super soggy. The grilled onions were not grilled, maybe sautéed or steamed or something to cook them a bit. Overall the flavor is ok, but really not worth it. Who wants a skinny, soggy imitation cheesesteak when you can get the real thing elsewhere?
I also ordered chili, which I threw away after two spoonfuls. It had almost no meat and maybe 20 beans floating around. It was more or less a slightly spicy tomato soup.
Save your money, eat somewhere else.

Read the reviews on Seamless. The sandwiches are nothing to write home about and the delivery service is REALLY, REALLY bad!
Got a call from the delivery dude saying he was downstairs in our building. Roomie went downstairs and no guy. 10 minutes later, the guy called again and said he had been waiting outside. This is a doorman building FFS! My roomie found the dude standing outside as far away from our building as he could probably get. Okay, we’re not expecting that anyone kiss our a**es or set the meal up on our dinner table but don’t lie and try to make it like you were there the whole time. You weren’t, dude. (There are other complaints regarding this in the Seamless reviews.) My roommate asked the guy why he didn’t come into the building and he said he didn’t have our apartment number. It’s stored in Seamless, prints on every order form, and was on our freakin’ order form. When my roommate walked away from the dude, he screamed after her, «WHERE’S MY TIP?» Um, we added it onto the order on Seamless but my roomie told the guy it’s not mandatory that she leave him anything. He then started to have a tantrum, whine about how he works only for tips, how he didn’t make anything from the delivery, etc. It was embarrassing since this was playing out on the sidewalk.
Re: food. The steak sandwiches are on a very narrow roll (read: cheaper to make — less meat), which is not authentic Philly cheesesteak style by a long shot. Roomie said the cheesesteak tasted just okay. I had the fries and they were good.
So not worth the problems though.

Ordered cheese steak and chili cheese fries, it was good ok but they were out of chili for my chili cheese fries and they did not have lettuce and tomatoes for my cheese steak. Over all, I was not credited back for what I did not get. They made substitutions for me that they thought would have compensated for what they did not have. When I called about the order, person on the phone was very smug about substituting items to make up for what they did not have. Will not order from them again, not b/​c of food, clearly b/​c of service.

I was visiting a friend when we decided to order food. After perusing the options on Seamless, we chose Aaron’s Steaks because I was in the mood for a Philly Cheese Steak and I saw pretty good reviews on Seamless. We ordered the steak sandwich with cheese whiz and grilled onions, breaded chicken wings regular style, and waffle cheese fries (users said to get cheese on the side to put in the sandwich bc it doesn’t come with enough cheese). The food arrived in about 30 – 40 minutes. After reading the reviews on Seamless about how the guy almost threw their food at them had me worried. He arrived and stood about 3 feet away and stretched his arm over to hand me the bag. Granted, we had a big dog in the apartment who was trying to peek out and greet the newcomer.
We opened up our food and I was satisfied with the portion size. They were good for the price. The only thing was that the wings were a lot smaller than I was expecting. Other than that, I was happy with the meal. The «Philly» cheese steak was pretty good, especially with the added cheese. I’m sure it wasn’t as authentic as one from Philadelphia, but I was very happy with it. I really liked the taste of the wings as well, but the chicken skin was still on it, which I’m not a huge fan of. The texture creeps me out a bit. However, the breading and seasoning was done pretty well. The waffle fries are good, but I’ve never really had bad waffle fries before.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. I would definitely order from here the next time I’m craving a cheese steak.
