No stars at all(I had to put at least one star to post this review) I tried to order from them 3 times from seamless. I had to cancel everytime because I have to call them at least an hour after I placed an order and they told me a. They ran out of what I wanted b. The delivery guy is not delivering c.(Worst one) they’re closing so they won’t deliver. WHYCANTTHEYJUSTCALLANDLETMEKNOWRIGHTAWAY?

There are a few places in town where you can find a plain slice for a buck, almost all of them pretty much taste the same with the over sized crust and all. This review is not for the plain slice, it’s for the other options in the store. I’ve had the veggie slice, chicken slice and a few others from this place and they are really good for the price. They also have beef patties which are really good compared to beef patties at other places in town. Of you’re in the mood for a quick slice or a beef patty, this is the place to go

99 cent express pizza was pretty good and is the closest 99 cent pizza joint to Times Square. No complaints about the actual pizza except for that it was a little greasy. I’m only giving it 3 stars though because not all of the pizzas are actually 99 cents; only the cheese one is. Sausage pizza is my favorite and it was $ 1.50 and I ordered that. The guy said that they were out of that and only had pepperoni and sausage. I said that was fine assuming that it’d still be $ 1.50 but when I paid, it was $ 2.50. Just be aware that unless you are looking specifically for cheese pizza, expect to pay more for other toppings(in my case 2.5x more).

1:25am on a Thursday night. According to Unilocal, the place is closed. But then, a miracle occurs! Not only is this place open, but a cheese pizza comes out fresh from the oven. Yes. Yes, I would like a slice of that. Delicious. Crispy yet somewhat doughy crust. Delicious sauce. And of course scalding hot cheese. What’s not to like?

Thought the pizza was great for the money. Way better than 2 bros pizza. Crust was crisp and the cheese was melty. There’s a few places to stand outside the storefront.

Pretty standard pizza. For $ 1, it is hard to lose. I stopped in for one slice, paid my dollar, and waited a few minutes for it to come out of the oven. If you’ve had one Dollar-slice pizza place in the city, you’ve pretty much tried them all. It’s not the best pizza, but clearly it’s quantity over quality here, and the pizza is decent, to boot. Small place, gets kinda cramped when there’s a lot of people waiting. Of course, if you want any toppings the price doubles, sometimes goes even higher. There is not too much to say about 99 Cent Express Pizza that isn’t in the name. It’s 99 cents, it’s quick, it’s pizza. Done and done.

Can’t beat the price and if you’re on the go, it’s a great place to stop and grab a bite.

Literally this place is across street from my job, so i come here very often just because i always need to grab something quick to eat. you can’t beat this price here in the city where everything is overpriced. This place is a quick cheap place to get some decent pizza without breaking your pocket. Get a regular pie for $ 8 … or even 2 slides and a soda for $ 2.75 seriously!!! The place is small, no chairs. The employees there are cool, I go in scary costumes all the time and they love it. Lol

The name gives it all away. The pizza is cheap, hot & good. If you’re in a rush and in need of a quick slice, this place is super quick and efficient. I came here at 10:00pm on a weekday with my roommate and he could not stop raving about this place. Check it out.

I’ll be honest, this is the only 99 cent pizza I’ve tried in the city. The reason for this is because I have found this pizza to be SODELICIOUS that I will not spend my 99cents anywhere else. For real. My friends and I have nicknamed this pizza«the real crack pie»(a nod to momofuku milk bar) and will not let a drunken night in New York city end without a delicious piece of this 99 cent cheese pizza in our hands. I’m going to be honest and say that coming from Los Angeles, my standards for pizza are not very high. I know that New York is famous for their pizza and so unless you are a tourist in the area, you have probably had some damn good pizza in your lifetime. However, I did make a stop at Prince Street Pizza this past trip and let me tell you. I would rather have my 99 cent express cheese pizza(and save myself the extra $ 3).

Quick, tasty, cheap. I was debating between going to Shake Shack and Chipotle during a lunch break. Was walking to Chipotle when saw this. Unilocaled it, saw 3 stars and was about to leave, but read into the reviews. I tend to pay attention to 4 and 2 star reviews as the most objective ones, and the 4 star ones convinced me to try the 99c express pizza. I ordered slice of chicken barbecue and pepperoni; together with a can of soda it came out under $ 5.50. Cheap. The slices came out about a minute later, not too hot(just how I like it). Most would like it hotter, but I liked the speed. Quick. The slices had the right amount of grease, dough and meats were good enough. Barbecue sauce nicely matched the chicken. Overall not bad. Tasty.

99 Cent Express Pizza is exactly what it’s called, 99 cent pizza. In the midst of all the other 99 cent pizza spots around the city, this place is no different. The slices are extremely thin, and it’s lightly dashed with cheese and marinara sauce. If you’re ordering pizza here, you’re definitely foregoing quality in favor of value. However, sometimes that’s exactly what I’m going for. I’ve ordered from here off of Seamless countless times and they deliver extremely quickly. A whole large pie is $ 8, and I can’t say that I did not get my money’s worth. Don’t expect this pizza to change your life, but it definitely won’t break your bank.

Crappy $ 1 pizza with crappy delivery people and crappy customer service. I got the pizza and like half the cheese had migrated to one side, clearly the delivery guy had the pizza significantly slanted. I called the restaurant and was hung up on twice. There’s plenty of $.99 pizza places around and most of them are better than this. I also ordered a beef patty which was dry and basically split open.

99 cent pizza? Whatever, it’s gonna be super cheap and gross. Wrong. I came here from Kansas(go ahead, laugh it up), a town that you could drive through in about fifteen minutes or less. I was staying in the Boston area and took the Amtrak from there to NYC to see an old camp counselor from 8 years ago. She’s now working at the theater next door, and she recommended that I get a slice there. I’m a vegetarian and wanted something other than cheese, so I got mushroom which was $ 1.50. Still thought it was going to be gross because it was so cheap. So wrong. I had time to kill before going to see Avenue Q(hell yes, middle and five rows back!), so I popped in. Got my slice(which was HUGE), and went outside to eat. It’s kind of awkward because you have to stand outside since there really isn’t any inside seating(there is a strange counter space against the window inside, but no seats). I guess that’s common NYC though because of all of the street vendors. Even though, it was delicious. I’ve tried plenty of different pizza places in my life, but this was amazing. Perfect amount of cheese and toppings, melted just right. Nom.

Stopped by here before going to a Broadway show with 30 minutes available to eat. This place did the trick with its chicken slice and its fresh pepper slice, and kept me full for the rest of the show. Both slices were great. Inside the actual store is burning hot because it’s pretty small and there are a lot of ovens. They have a stand outside where you can eat. For $ 1.50 a slice, I was impressed and would return.

I don’t say this often, but this is pretty mediocre stuff. 99 cent pies are often mailed in, but the majority of places around the city put in a better effort. The near-Times Sq./Broadway location clearly removes any responsibility for quality. The cheese tasted plastic and the pie looked very amateurishly slapped together. It can rearlly only be justified if you’re starving, and even then it’s a bit disappointing. For an example of how to do a decent 99-cent pie, check out Arome Deli on W. 32nd St. The guys behind the counter are nice, though.

There are tons of 99 cent pizza parlors throughout NYC, so if you don’t like one, move on to the next. 99 Cents Express Pizza is one of these places that I recommend you keep on walking by. Their pizzas look fairly standard from afar, with a good amount of cheese and tomato sauce generously applied on top of the pizza pie. But upon first bite, you’ll notice the dough is slightly chewy, and the tomato sauce tastes like it came out of a large can. The cheese is somewhat of a disappointment, as you can tell it is not very fresh and does not maintain that stringy gooeyness that good pizza is known for. The pepperoni slices are not that much better, with the only difference of several thin slices of pepperoni thrown on top. It does not really hold any interesting spices or flavors, making for a rather boring pepperoni slice. Delivery is also very odd here. If you order several pies, they are placed in a black garbage bag. The delivery guy hands you the big black garbage bag with pizza boxes inside, which doesn’t exactly look or sound appetizing. We also found the top box in each bag of 6 pizzas, soggy and wet from all the heat condensation that had formed. Overall, 99 Cents Express Pizza does not warrant me to come back except for the fact that their plain slices are cheap, at only $ 1.00. But because $ 1.00 pizza slices have somewhat become the norm in this recession, I’d prefer to walk a couple blocks south and go to 2 Bros. for a much better $ 1.00 slice.

$ 2.75 for lunch = you get what you pay for This pizza isn’t great… but it isn’t bad. Thin crust, made fresh(with ingredients from who knows where) and ready in a flash. It’s closer for me than having to go to 9th Ave or down a few blocks on 8th. They’re open 24 hours, have a credit card minimum of $ 5.00(which is actually hard to reach) and seem to be a little cleaner than other 99 cent pizza joints… but that could very well fade in time.
