Not impressed with the food or the service here, the meals were pricey and it tasted like something a 10 year old could make. I will not be returning to this restaurant any time soon.

This place is a total rip off — extremely expensive with mediocre food. Two days ago, I had a bagel(not that good), a cup of coffee, and a small juice. The tab: Just shy of $ 16. Really! And, the service, while polite, was slow and non-responsive regarding fulfilling delivery of items ordered, i.e., cold toasted bagel without the cream cheese that was ordered; failure to deliver cream cheese despite multiple requests. My advice: pass this place.

After trying this place twice now i have to say I’m sad and remain disappointed. I really wanted to like 3 guys as it’s soo close to where i live and i usually love diners! But to be honest both times were consistently mediocre. The service is sketchy, my server kept disappearing and I resorted to asking another to find him for me. The food did come out promptly from the kitchen but very small portions although after looking at some other reviewers photos of healthier sized portions I realize this maybe dependent in who is in the kitchen on that day And i find it really pricey especially the drinks as they come in super small glasses like the ones my grandparents used when i was a child and there are no refills on sodas, very unusual for a diner

My daughter picked this disaster unbeknownst as I had no idea that it was the same chain as the one on 96th which also was terrible. I asked to have the omelet not burnt, it was. I asked to enclose a fork with the doggy bag of rigotini with meat sauce, they didn’t. They were inflexible about substituting the home fries, with something else, so I asked for and got the tomatoes in the omelet instead of the mushroom. I didnt touch the homefries. The eggs were barely scrambled since they were 2 different colors. Nor toast was served either. 3 hrs later my wheezing indicated that were preservatives or sulfites in the food. My grandson would have choked on the monstrous size pasta. He wasn’t informed that it would not be spaghetti. The short staff were inarticulate unhelpful and all they could do is pester you about the coffee, which wasn’t bad. They take advantage of the shortage of affordable eateries in Carnegie hill and the tired school kids. Why cant Brooklyn eateries move there to serve the school kids and their families.

Service was AWFUL, was overpriced, portions were small, food was bland. Ate here with my SO, my best friend, and my SO’s sister today. Two of us ordered eggs, the other two salads. Ordered coffee, and got a 4 ounce cup. Never asked if I wanted a refill. Our eggs came out, without the toast — cooked the way I wanted(over easy) but the portions were small — maybe got a tablespoon of hashbrowns, and the toast took about another 20 minutes(are they growing the wheat outback and waiting for it to grow?), and everybody knows the best thing with over easy eggs is to dip the toast in the yolk, which I was unable to do thanks to this restaurant’s buffoonery. Got hash with the eggs, and it was very bland. The salads we ordered came out with the toast, about 20 minutes after the eggs(I guess the lettuce needed to grow first, with the wheat for the toast). For $ 20 a piece the salads didn’t have much besides lettuce, some feta, and dressing. I don’t mind paying higher prices, but if I’m going to pay $ 20+ for a salad at a diner, I expect the service to be a little better than terrible. For a better experience, I’d recommend New Amity a few blocks down.

Great diner in the heart of the Madison Avenue shopping district. Service is fantastic except for that annoying Greek bald waiter whose name I think is John. He squeezed too much lime in my seltzer water to go… Burgers are fantastic and virtually everything is fresh. Fast, fresh and fabulous, for what else do you want?

Do not go to the 3 guys at 89th and Madison. The food is revolting!!! A burnt hamburger and dried out chicken tenders to go… straight into the garbage:(wasted $ 32 dollars and won’t go there again.

Visiting from Massachusetts and stopped in here after visiting the Guggenheim and sightseeing all day. Not much background choice from seeing the restaurant pop up on my iPhone as being somewhere nearby with food. Pleasantly surprised to find a small Greek/American joint nestled in on Madison Ave. Fresh and delicious tzatziki, steak skewers, and my entrée of half roasted greek seasoned chicken was incredibly juicy and flavorful and delicious. Waiters and staff were very helpful, fast and kind. For NYC, even as a visitor, a decent bang for your buck as well. We had a lovely and delicious dinner tonight. Will absolutely be back next time we are in the area.

Breakfast here two days in a row. Day 1: dried food on the coffee cup. Day 2: plate one featured a bit of foil on my meal. Plate two featured dried egg on the plate. Meal was comped, they even refused my tip, but I expected more from a high-priced diner on the U.E.S. Clean it up.

Good, solid food. Large portions. Must be run by Greek folks. Stavros was our waiter. The language they were speaking was Greek to me.(Pun intended). The husband ordered the meatloaf special; it came with mashed and corn and soup or salad. I had the triple decker turkey and bacon sandwich. Come on, it was a club sandwich. It came with slaw and fries. Service was decent. But as like previous restaurants, you can’t get out for under $ 40.

The waffles are excellent. My daughter has strict dietary restrictions and she has never had a problem with any of her requests. They have sugar free syrup for her waffles and never forget her restrictions. They offer warm friendly service and are very personable.

These Fellas, These Men, These 3 Guys outdid themselves in this massive diner type restaurant. Ive ordered a few times from 3 guy while up on the upper east side and its always been excellent. The food is nothing spectacular to rave about, but its consistent, and that what matters. After months of ordering occasional delivery, i finally got to visit the place. I must say I was pretty astonished with the spot. It was well lit, completely booked and still pumping tables and food out at a pretty good pace. We had a server approach our table as soon as we sat to ask for drink orders and drop off menu. He later came back with the capacino then disappears for quite some time which was although understandable due to the high volume, kinda annoying. Once we got the order in, took possibly 10 – 15 minutes before we got the food to the table, which amazed me on how the kitchen is probably completely swamped but still managed to dish out food in time. I ordered the 3 guys Chopped Salad with Added chicken. The Salad was very refreshing and not heavy. Chopped tomatoes, cucumbers and some other stuff I don’t recall but it was definitely crisp and fresh. The Chicken was also flavorful and went with the Salad. My only issue with this place are the prices. They charge $ 25 for a basic salad and nearly every dish is priced around there. I mean come on, a salad?! A turkey sandwich with Mash is $ 24, so you get the gist. I like the food and would order more often, but it does truly hurt the pocket to spend $ 60 plus on lunch for Diner type food. Just my thought. Otherwise the service was alright, nothing to gloat. The Place is clean and food is tasty, I’m sure even though some negativity is in this review, 3 guys restaurant will continue pumping for the upper east side folk.

Very good diner. Yes, prices are high, but you are on Madison avenue near the museums and the rent is insane. For better prices walk east to Stargate on Lexington. But three guys does a good job, staff is sharp and friendly. Delivery is also fast and fries arrived still crunchy. They have a larger dining area on the second floor where I sometimes see larger groups eating.

I have been going to Three Guys ever since I was a kid. I have never once been disappointed with the food and the delivery always comes extremely fast. The food is amazing including the Turkey Club Wrap, or just a simple breakfast sandwich. This has been a family favorite of ours forever and will continue to be from years to come.

This diner was pricey but considering the location I guess the price is probably normal. Our food was just okay and not really anything to brag about. I could tell that this was a diner for locals. We were referred to this restaurant by the sales clerk at Lilly Pulitzer. I would not go back there again. However, I must say that the waitstaff and the guest were all very nice and friendly.

Restaurant in title, diner in actuality. 3 Guys offers the requisite diner booth and table seating, menu selection(including Greek specialties that most diners in the NY/NJ area boast), and even that signature bowl of melt-away mints at the register. Portions are big — at least for the salads my table and I all had. Toppings were plentiful and fresh, and my one buddy recommended the French onion soup. Prices are high for a diner(read, $ 18 salads) but then again, it’s NYC. Service was friendly and food came out quickly. I’d certainly go back if I want a diner in the area or am looking for a reliable go to near Mount Sinai Hospital, but I’m not itching to go relive any found culinary treasures.

I will start by saying that I work in the area so I come here for my coffee and breakfast all the time. It’s closer than Starbucks and the prices are NOTBAD considering it’s the Upper East Side on Madison Avenue. The employees are so friendly and accommodating. Even if they get really busy at the counter they never forget about me. I only order food«to go» but I’ve also had a sit-down breakfast before work once when I was early. I usually order coffee for myself and my coworkers. Sometimes I have special requests and if I was working there I’d be a little annoyed at me but they’re always so sweet about it. Once I asked them to melt the sugar before they put it in the iced coffee. I know they’re not a Starbucks and they reminded me of this but they did it for me because they weren’t too busy that time and my coworker wanted her syrup. Their cappuccinos are yummy and more reasonably priced than the other guys next door. I know this because of people that have gone there. I have never stepped stepped foot in there, not even to buy a cappuccino for my manager, because I am loyal to 3 Guys! Along with coffee I usually order toasted bagels or corn muffins. The corn muffins are a big hit with my coworkers(always ask them to toast them for you!). The chicken and rice soup is so good. I like mine with Tabasco sauce for a little kick, which George will happily add for you! After a fun night out with my girlfriends sometimes I need a little more than a bagel(they know this about me) so I ask for a grilled chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato, bacon, avocado, and honey mustard on a hero with pickles and coleslaw and some French fries. The hero is huge so I share it with my friend/coworker who was with me that night. The grilled chicken sandwich ALWAYS hits the spot! Once we even ordered 9 of them for everyone at my job and they ran out of hero bread because of us(sorry not sorry). Oh and when they offer you a blueberry muffin instead of a corn muffin because they’ve run out, again sorry not sorry. The one time I had the pleasure of dining here was on a Sunday with my friend/coworker and we shared a plate of steak and eggs(sunnyside up) with potatoes and a waffle with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. We thought we would not get full off of this because we can EAT but luckily we were satisfied and didn’t have to order more. Haha. We were seated on the second floor next to the window. It was quiet. Julio waited on us and if course he did an excellent job. He’s always very nice, accommodating and efficient. We will be back and ask for Julio again. Working in the area and seeing how some of the smaller businesses are being driven out because of the crazy rent prices makes me sad. I really hope this place stays forever! This is my first Unilocal review but I feel like I wrote an essay. Hopefully I will get better at this thing.

I don’t know why some of the reviews are so low. My SO and I stopped by before heading to the museums to grab a bite to eat. The prices are a little high but it’s the UES, what do you expect? I had the Greek chicken souvlaki platter which was super filling and delicious. It came with skewered chicken over a salad and fries on the side. Their secret tzatziki sauce is ONPOINT. At one point I ran out of things to dip in it and just started eating it by itself. My SO had the 3 guys super burger which was HUGE. And it came with bacon. We had friendly service when we were there and our experience was positive, sans a lady who didn’t seem to know how to control her unruly kids… It’s diner fare on the UES. What more can you expect?

Pretty ok but the price point for a diner is rather high… I spent $ 18 for a bagel, with cream cheese, capers and smoked salmon. It was not spectacular, therefore, I felt I basically wasted my money. The smoked salmon tasted as if it was not properly sealed, which can give is a rather unpleasant taste. The kids enjoyed their meal(chicken finger and hot dog with french fries). My mate felt his meal was pretty good, so all was not totally lost on this dining experience.

Even though we weren’t going to bother eating there again, it was the only place near the Metropolitan Museum with reasonable prices. We ate a late lunch there today — and I’m upgrading my rating to four stars, since the service was *much* better this time(and there was no evidence of the unfriendly server from last time). My husband ordered the grilled chicken a la Greek($ 16.95) and it came with a cup of soup or a salad. He chose the salad and it was a *very* generous size, plus it had lots of variety(even a stuffed grape leaf). The chicken portion was substantial and it came with lemon potatoes, both of which he liked. I ordered the spinach & cheese tortellini($ 15.95) and it also came with a cup of soup or a salad. I chose the(minestrone) soup, which was very satisfying. The tortellini was *really* delicious and the portion was generous. The bread basket had two rolls for each of us(and they were much better than the last time, as they were very chewy & tasty), plus some bread sticks & melba toast. We were only given tiny glasses of water, while — strangely — a nearby couple were given large glasses, so we had to ask twice before getting large glasses of water. Otherwise, however, our server was sufficiently attentive and he was pleasant. Also, the owner(manager-?) was very friendly. In addition, we had a nice conversation with a man sitting at the next table and he’s a «regular» there. When we got the receipt, I noticed we were overcharged for my meal. Our server readily corrected it, but I’m a little concerned that this happened both times.
