Dined her for lunch, the soup was delicious. We also had the cheese and meat plate which was fantastic. Service was great!

Undiscovered hideaway right on Madison Avenue. 2 floors, charming décor. Perfect for a casual date night. Romantic Spanish and Italian music sets the mood. Save room for dessert because they have the BESTTIRAMISU ever! They make it in house and it’s so light and fluffy and just delicious(and this is coming from someone who does not have a sweet tooth!). And the host was very nice and accommodating. Great service overall.

This is one of my favorite Italian places to eat. Their panini is delicious and it feels like you’re in Italy;)

This is one of the best Italian restaurants I tried recently. First, as I got in, I Had a feeling that I was back in Italy… Very authentic. They serve some interesting cocktails that you definitely need to try. Now the peak of the night was my meal… An outstanding blank ink spaghetti with sea food… To die for. I ended the night with their fabulous tiramisu… That made my evening memorable.

Couldn’t figure out why this place wasn’t more crowded-I thought it was really pretty good! Have lived in this area almost my whole life, and we don’t get many good little restaurants. I had an awesome salad and the pasta was good. Dessert wasn’t what I’d expected-not quite a true crème brulee-but it still tasted good. Quick, friendly service, too.

So just finished dinner at Via Quadronno on Madison. Having been here many times for lunch the food has been very good although I have never ordered a bottle of wine. Tonight we started with a couple of glasses of the Rossi Toscano which we immediately sent back — it was turned. Sent it back. Rather than risk another wine by the glass we decided to order a bottle of 2009 Brunello for $ 130 bucks which was also turned apparently it was sitting on self without refrigeration for a very long time. I asked the waiter to bring me $ 190 bottle of the 2011 Tignanello — how can you go wrong? Also bad. This place is either very wine incompetent or it is going out of business soon and is trying to rid of their inventory

Whoever likes this restaurant has never eaten Italian food!!! They should be embarrassed to serve the food We ordered Caprese salad and the tomatoes served were ridiculous. They were not even red and they were mushy! Subway would be ashamed! The veal — where to start!!! It was dry and overcooked and I am not sure it was Veal! The pasta was cooked — maybe yesterday!!! The Wine — they charged $ 19.00 for a glass of cheap cheap wine. Service — a disinterested hostile waiter!!! He was what gives NYC a bad name! The fact that this restaurant even stays in business is shocking. Stay away!!! I go to all the finest restaurants and it was shocking and the fact that it has a clientele at all is unbelievable. Do not go!!!

There’s a dearth of eateries in museum row — went for a drink and calamari last night. Drink arrived quickly and after we were getting tipsy, wondered why 30 minutes had gone by. Calamari showed up way later. Not sure if the cook walked out or the order never got back there. Tables are super close so the diners at the next table toppled over the oil/vinegar bottles. Other diners started chatting with us as we felt abandoned by waiter. At these prices, well… we deserved better. Still left a 20% tip thinking that the problem was the kitchen and not the waiter. But might never go back.

The sandwiches here are unbelievably delicious and the tiramisu is the best I have ever eaten. They always have room and the service is excellent. I love this place.

I really like this outpost of this East Side mini-chain. For starters, it’s much larger and more airy than its sibling locations on East 73rd and East 59th. The service is pleasant and quick. The menu is pricey, but the quality and presentation would have you think you’re in Milan, not Madison Avenue. This Carnegie Hill location also lacks the more snooty, Euro-trash crowd you get at the 73rd Street locale. Great gelatos and the best Italian coffee in NYC.

Been 4 times. Only once at dinner. Restaurant was hot last night about 9pm! no air conditioning. uncomfortably so. i guess we should’ve left. food was good as usual(though one pasta dish was overcooked, the other fine) but took a longgg time to come. three other times at lunch, we sat up front so wasn’t so hot but when will they start using their a/c? i hope they haven’t been leaving it off in order to save money. bottom line: food good. environment not so much. :)

Just had a terrific lunch here. I had the lasagne which is one of my favorites and my wife had tuna and artichoke panini. Our waiter managed to mix up the lasagna with linguine but he and the manager apologized profusely and we were delight to be given a free dessert for our troubles. The ambiance is very nice although the tables are a little small. Prices are what you would expect from a Madison ave restaurant. We will be back for some more delicious food but will save for a semi special occasion.

Very good restaurant which becomes excellent when they import the better dishes from their sister restaurant Bottega del Vino on 59th street. In particular, the best dish at Bottega del Vino, Tortellini dela Casa(beef and prosciutto handmade tortellini in a cream black truffle sauce may be the best pasta dish in NYC). No idea why this is not a a signature item at Via Quadrnoo, …crazy.

If you’ve just returned from Italy and you’re missing the high prices and teeny tiny spaces, this is for you! The prices manage to be stratospheric even though we’re not converting from euros, and the tables in the front section are the size of coffee table books. But Via Quadronno hasn’t recreated the charm of Italy — you’re squeezed into a Madison Ave storefront across from a Duane Reade, not squeezed onto a sidewalk on a small cobblestone street. The people watching and atmosphere are NYC, not Milan. Basically: You’re paying through the nose for decent food with an Italian theme, but you can get much better in NYC for much less. The service when we went was slow and uncoordinated, but maybe it will get better in time. Not a comfortable or inviting space.

So glad they opened this larger outpost of the original. The service is just as authentic(lots of Italian accents) and attentive. Our water glasses were never empty and empty plates were whisked away(after checking that we were done). The menu seems slightly expanded compared to the 73rd St. location(but maybe I never noticed the pastas before b/c I’m all about the panini). They have daily specials and the soups are homemade. The meal is pricey — but you can taste the great quality of the ingredients. I love the panini with shrimp and vodka sauce(originally struck me as an odd combo, but it’s refreshing and all works well together). And the tiramisu is a must-get(even for this non-fan of tiramisu). They have seating upstairs, in the back, and a line of 2-tops in the front. Saw lots of ppl placing to-go orders here as well.

Rachael Ray used to go to cities around the country and spend $ 40 on a 3 meals and maybe a snack. Today I spent $ 40 at Via! For two people, it was $ 20 a person! The food was okay but not great. We started with the caprasi salad, creamy mozzeralla, savory basil, and sweet tomatoes. This is one of my favorite salads and it’s simplicity inspires me to cook with simple ingredients. My friend finished the salad while I had a porkchetta Panani. The sandwich was over priced and bland. It needed mustard, which I asked for. Only to wait 5 minutes for a tiny thing of mustard. The mustard gave the sandwich a much needed flavor boost. Word to the wise, do NOT order coffee here. Coffee is $ 5! Overall, I might give Via another chance.
