We were there for the first time in awhile last night and it was great. The food was very good, but our waitress, Noreen, made the evening. She was very knowledgeable, attentive to our needs and just wonderful. Great people person and a real jem. When we come back I will make sure she is working and ask for her again.

So I picked up a take out order for dinner the other night from this place. I ordered a large caesar salad and the calamari«made their way». The salad had no croutons, very little parmesan and the dressing tasted so fishy that it was barely edible. Good thing I had my own croutons and dressing at home. So basically I paid 13.99 for romaine lettuce with a hint of parmesan. The calamari was horrible as well. They give you a handful literally and it is placed on a piece of bread that is soaked in marinara sauce. By the time I got home(15 minutes) it was all mush and I had to stick the calamari in the oven to make it a little crisper. Definitely not worth the $ 28.43 I spent on this meal or my time having to doctor it up to make it edible.

We’ve never been here before, but we had Lettuce Entertain You gift cards from Christmas and wanted to try something new. We didn’t have a reservation, but would call ahead next time if came at 7 pm, it was busy. They were great and sat us really quickly considering how busy it was. Our waitress was very nice, and friendly. We ordered the double dipped shrimp cocktail appetizer and it was great with a beautiful presentation. It was something different from the regular shrimp cocktail. My husband got the lobster, and I ordered the Sesame Crusted Chilean Sea Bass. My husband was very happy with his lobster and the Sea Bass was amazing, one of the best I’ve ever had. Even the bread basket was good, really warm. Not one complaint! We don’t usually order dessert, but decided to try something. I got the two bite peppermint ice cream with hot fudge. When the bill came they comped our dessert for being a new customer! What a really nice touch. Overall one of the nicer dining experiences we’ve had. Just as we were getting ready to leave, the manager Kevin stopped by the table, he heard it was our first time here, he wanted to make sure everything was OK and asked what we ordered and if we liked it. Again, a really nice gesture. We will be back!

Our group of about 14 had a lunch here recently. The private room was a bit tight especially the table space. The waitstaff worked hard but they did not seem polished nor used to the large group. The salad was good, the calamari was salty. The almond crusted whitefish was decent, the topping was crunchy and tasty but I was a bit surprised to encounter a couple of small bones and then a huge toothpick sized one mid-way into the dish. Not expected, glad I got to them before they got to me, if you get what I mean! Overall, minus the bones, food was decent, cooked to perfect temperature. The restaurant is dark and intimate if you like that kind of atmosphere, service was friendly. Will be back again but probably will avoid the whitefish and probably try a pasta dish.

I’ve been to this restaurant a few times, and each time it is consistently«sturdy» and by that I mean, good food, uniquely different, but not«over the top» but that’s ok! I’m not a salad person, but their salads are extremely good! Their mayfair dressing for the ceaser salad is wonderful. It’s very creamy and the anchovies are subtle and gives it the perfect taste. The croutons are homemade and meaty bread is used. Their sandwiches are excellent and their chicken was cooked perfectly, seasoned proportionally. Their service, from the servers to management are LYE standard, which is excellent. Everyone showed a genuine concern and were very responsive to any concerns I had. Incidentally, this visit they were able to prepare a luncheon for 30 people with two hours time, and they were right on time. My clients were extremely pleased. DiPescara will not disappoint. My only«beef» pardon the pun, is that they don’t have sausage or any pork products. Imagine that! An Italian restaurant without pork! But that’s ok, still great restaurant, and its a highly Jewish area. NO problem for me, I’m Catholic… and I appreciate sensitivity to our fast and abstinence laws. Mazel tov!

Di Pescara used to be a pretty good restaurant and I have recommended this place to many people. However I would recommend to all that they not go here as the place is in real need of a rescue. First off, the place is not very clean. Went to the bathroom and it is filthy! I can only imagine the kitchen. Service was lacking as well. Sat at the bar and waitstaff were the ones making cocktails. My server couldn’t even make a decent cosmo so sent it back and ordered a glass of wine. Fish and chips tasted like the oil was rancid. Clam chowder was more soupy than chowder and too watered down. The hot and crunchy fish Milanese was rank! I stamp this place: DNR-Do not return!

Low quality food. Nice people working but the food is prepared for way too long. Some of the items were tasty but it was few and far between

Came here with a group and it was great. Service was outstanding and food was well prepared and delicious. Don’t let the mall location fool you.

Typical Lettuce Entertain You restaurant. Overpriced and overrated. We went with a group. I had the shells with shrimp and vodka marinara sauce. The shrimp were overcoooked and the sauce had no taste. I’ve made better vodka marinara sauce. One star for the service.

This will be a bar app review… Killing some time in the afternoon. Had a few cocktails and ordered a few things off the menu. For Happy Hour you can get a mini burger, chicken egg rolls, fish & chips, plus other things for $ 5ea. All three things were good and worth the deal. Also had the grilled calamari & a crab cake. The calamari was good but gets overpowered by the other things in the dish(capers, olives, etc). The crab cake was moist and had a clean flavor with a pretty good sauce on the side. Last a king crab California roll. Don’t expect something like Shaws(which is always good). This one had little filling and was poorly made. I’d skip it for the full price @ $ 13 So for some cocktails & snacks in the afternoon and wanting something better than the food court in the mall I would return.

I suppose every restaurant has a «bad» table by the kitchen, but this one absolutely takes the cake! No really! I mean, who doesn’t love spending an entire meal watching a circus of servers and bussers dashing in and out of the kitchen? That’s amazing ambiance! Not to mention the constant and deafening CLANK of discarded dishes, glassware and silverware. We could barely hear each other conversing. But here’s the best part: to avoid running into each other when turning the corner, the servers and bussers KNOCK on the hollow wooden wall EVERYTIME they go in and out. All this, just inches from where you’re sitting. They actually seat people here. #FAIL

This was a terrible meal on multiple counts. 1). Over priced for the quality and taste 2). My tuna burger came with what looked was a bite taken out. 3). It was under cooked. I know tuna is meant to be not fully cooked but we are talking raw inside 4). Came with plain rice. Nothing else. About as in edible of a meal in ages.

Di Pascara’s has pretty consistent food, it’s the service that’s inconsistent. The place is always busy; that’s a good thing, although their kitchen may be too small to handle things or they have high wait-staff turnover. I suspect the latter. From now on we’re going to order in. That way we can enjoy the food without being punished. We live pretty close by. If you’re farther away, meditate or do some yoga before arriving. That way you can endure the experience in a relaxed state.

Come in at prime time on a Friday without a reservation and they are not quite sure what to do with you, so to the bar we went, the tables in which they consider managed seating as well, service is good despite. Tip — comp valet parking with validation. As strange as it sounds the turkey burger and the tomato soup came highly recommended to me so that’s what I ordered. They did not disappoint, in fact, I was stuffed as a result. Chances are you are at NB mall for a reason, but fair warning to the uninitiated, if the northshore scene is not your thing, then you might want to give this one a pass, because it screams northshore, not that that’s a bad thing but you should know. Also noted, not that it was ladies night or anything like that but if you fellas wonder where the ladies are at, they are all parked in the bar at Di Pescara ;) Cheers! And special thanks to my old neighbor Leo for the dusty xmas present that we finally utilized — Thx Leo! We hope you are well and hope to chat with you when it thaws :)

When dining at Northbrook Court we typically opt for dinner at CPK, which my kids go nuts for. Or if we’re really feeling«adventurous» maybe the salad bar at Claim Company. Recently I wasn’t feeling either option and opted for the fancy schmancy route(or as fancy schmancy we get with the kids) at Di Pescara. The hostess took one look at my rowdy 4 yr old and 2 yr old and seated us way in the back of the restaurant. I can’t say I blame her! I’ve eaten at Di Pescara many times with adults and typically go the sushi route. It’s not quite as good as what you’d find at a sushi restaurant, but good enough. And the rolls are huge. I always think I’ll want 2, but 1 tends to be plenty. Their kids menu has many great options. We ordered the pasta with veggies for both kids. Once the food arrived I realized one kids meal would have been plenty for both of them, but this way we didn’t have any sharing issues. The best part of their kids meal is that it comes with an ice cream cone for dessert. We convinced my 4 year old that there was a camera in the ceiling watching to see how she behaved… and if all goes well she’d be enjoying some ice cream for dessert. The plan worked perfectly, but not as well with my 2-year-old who doesn’t understand the concept of being threatened quite yet. Maybe next year! It was a nice change from our usual spots, although a bit expensive for what it is. We’ll likely continue to take the kids to their favorite spots and save this one for adult only meals before movies and other reasons to eat at the mall, but nice to switch it up everyone once in awhile.

We are De Pescara semi-regulars, because we can walk there, and because sometimes one just needs a drink and a snack after your partner drags you to «last call» at Neiman’s. Get there before 6 or after 9, during the week, for happy hour in the bar. This is the best deal in the North Shore. Great small plates, and drinks, about half off. This is a Lettuce restaurant, so create new and use old points. I will not give it a fourth star, and there is not a half star or I would give it a 3.5. You need to have something inspiring or original to get that fourth star out of me. This is a corporate restaurant that caters to the upscale north shore crowd. Check the menu, if you see what you like, it will be good. Crab cakes are good, fish and chips, etc. Just do not look to be wowed, so do not make it a destination meal, and all will be good.

My family and I have been coming to Di pescara for years. My mom raves about the turkey burger and tomato soup all the time and i agree that it is hands down delicious. I tend to order their fish or salads because they never disappoint. I highly recommend trying their fish because it’s always cooked to perfection! It is obvious how popular this restaurant is because it’s packed at night. I was pretty surprised we were able to get in. The restaurant is also pretty small so when the crowd hits it feels very crammed. In my past experiences, the waiting staff seemed very well trained. However, last night our waiter seemed a little aloof. I understand it was super busy, but the service was just not up to par. Overall, last night was not that great of a dining experience, but I’m not giving up on this place! The food is quite good!

Another nice LEY restaurant here. It’s mainly Italian, but they also have sushi and burgers and other sandwiches as well. Food quality is very good. Wife had their sushi(rainbow roll) and chopped salad combo for $ 17.95. I had their burger with grilled onions and fries for $ 11.95. The burger was nicely presented disassembled and I could on put my own amount of grilled onions, and ketchup, etc. I also very much liked the cloth towels in the washroom, and hadn’t encountered that in a while. Waiter and water service were both a bit slow. There were a lotta apparently non-working housewives dining, and it was quite busy for a 12:45pm lunch. They may have been headed to the adjoining Northbrook Court mall afterwards or just before lunch!

Great food and huge portions! I ordered a «small» Caesar salad and a side of grilled salmon. The salmon was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The salad seemed dinner size, but I devoured it all the same. I like how they crushed the croutons into small crumbs which added a crunchy texture with each bite. Hubby was accidentally given the dinner menu instead of the lunch menu and had his heart set on the Lobster Fra Diabolo. Our server was awesome — she checked with the chef who was willing to prepare it for him anyway. He really liked it, but the portion was huge so we took home about half of the pasta. The fresh lemonade was delicious. We also munched on the fresh warm bread while waiting for our meals. They also have a separate party room — I’ve attended a bridal shower here before and the food and service was just as great.
