Heard some business guys talking about this place at the bar at the Hilton Gardens. Tried it the following night, Friday at about 7:30PM and the place was packed. Found a seat at the bar. Service was outstanding. They kept my wine glass full. The fried pepper appetizer was great. Spaghetti with marinara and Italian sausage was perfect. I will return.

This is our favorite local bistro. We often eat at the bar. Their fried peppers and homemade bread are to die for. The eggplant rollatini is delicious. All of the fish specials are good, and my husband loves the prime rib on weekends. We go at least once a week when in the area

Our new favorite restaurant! From the warm bread to the tender mussels to the best sea bass north of the Mason Dixon line, this place has it all. Scallop risotto was sinfully delicious. Our entire table loved everything. Can’t wait to go back.

Been here many times before in past years, and was reminded why last time I think I told myself never to come back. Food quality has gone down dramatically over the years. Not sure if my taste has become more refined as I’ve traveled and tasted what truly good food is, or if things at this place have just gone downhill. Had lasagna for the first time tonight, ate three bites and had to stop so I wouldn’t make myself sick(and I had come in with a full appetite, as I had not eaten lunch that day). It was a ball of all cheese and likely out of the box noodles. The red sauce tasteless, just disappointing. The wedding soup was tasteless and not even made palatable by dumping a generous portion of salt over it. Just disappointed Cantons palate is so tasteless that people like this place. Won’t be back ever again.

I’ve ate here a few times and I’ve never been impressed. The steak was awful and the fish had bones it in. The Alfredo sauce tastes like something from a jar.

On travel again, this time to the home of NFL hall of fame, Canton, OH. Walking into the hotel I had to ask for the best locally owned restaurant and got sent to Sylvester’s… The place was packed and for good reason. The service was great and the food was even better. I had some huge scallops in a bacon and white wine sauce(I think)… Either way great meal and will probably try again tomorrow.

My wife and I went here to celebrate our anniversary of 22 years. We felt like we were the youngest people by far. The bar was nice, but the dining room was interesting in its décor. The staff was kind. Their service was professional. This is amazing considering how there was an elderly woman who had a seizure and then passed out at the table next to us. The food was very good. My wife had a pork chop with green beans and salad. The chop was cooked appropriately. I had the sausage risotto. Both main dishes were really good, but not great. I wanted to be wowed. Their home made house Italian dressing was very underwhelming. We will be back to try more. Portions were large so we didn’t order to much.

Delicious! My parents, fiancé, and I came here for dinner last night and we loved it!!! Great service, delicious food, good menu, HUGE portions! Don’t be fooled by the outside, this place is great for upscale Italian dining! Try the calamari appetizer and the prime rib!!!

Best kept secret in Canton.(well, maybe not). Great food. Very reasonable prices. Nice portions. Sat in the bar area three times and enjoyed the atmosphere. Their pork chops are awesome. Also had the chicken parmesean. Wait staff attentive, and not pushy. Never felt rushed or ignored. Well worth it.

My go to spot in canton. Near the airport. A great local favorite. Italian influenced. Basic pasta to higher end entrees. I usually gravitate towards the nightly specials. Service very friendly and attentive.

First came here, I feel good, elegant environment, and great steaks. The restaurant location is inconvenient to find, but next time will come again.

Got seated and that’s it. No one came over to wait on us so we left. The hostess walked by us twice and the 2 waitresses in the room completely ignored us.

This is an upscale Italian restaurant/bar that is 100% camoflaged as a little, out of the way«hole in the wall» place from its outward appearance. Inside, its«game on» with linen tablecloths, reduced lighting, and a large wine selection. The menu includes delicious renditions of classic Italian cuisine, plus specialty fare as well. I ordered the lasagna which turned out to be meatless. It was very good nonetheless. I had a Pinot Noir selection(one of about six available), and my wife enjoyed their version of Sangria which they make with Lambrusco. Our server was Heather, who had a very nice personality, knew the menu well, and was attentive to our needs. There was Frank Sinatra music playing softly in the background, which I enjoyed. If you, like us, prefer enjoying restaurants that are not a chain restaurant, I recommend this one for a nice Italian dinner experience. We enjoy finding nice, privately owned restaurants. This one is not too pricey– we will be back to try other selections from their menu.

The place was very busy, especially the bar. Although it initially took a while to get my drink the rest of the evening was great! Great food, great service, great atmosphere. There are many locals at this place, always a good sign. I had the Bruschetta and Chicken Piccata… both were fantastic. If I am ever back in the area I will certainly be back to Sylvester’s!

Phenomenal every single time. Classy but not stuffy. Can’t beat the food and the prices are extremely reasonable. My wife and I come once a month and are always so pleased. Do yourself a favor and come here to dine!

Was staying in Alliance, and wanted a decent dinner, so went to Unilocal for Help! Their fish special was sea bass(they say it was Chilean) which was yummy, but the sauce was kinda sweet and overwhelming. With the delicate flavour of sea bass, shouldn’t need as strong a compliment. But, was still good. My husband had sea scallops– fair market price of $ 24. Very good. both got pasta side– one marinara and one red sauce. VERY large portion, for a side. Red sauce is on the sweet side, and marinara more tart, your preference. They were very busy for a Monday night, and service was a bit slow, but we were not in any hurry so no problem.

My favorite restaurant in the canton area. We have eaten here many times and the food and service is always top notch. My favorite dishes and the filet, the drunken chicken, or one of the many fresh seafood dishes they serve. The house Italian dressing and fresh bread are excellent as well. It is not a fancy or new place inside but it is certainly not another chain restaurant and the food is first rate!

I have to say I was extremely disappointed at this place. I absolutely love Italian food and the reviews are outstanding. I have a feeling they could do better, and that is what let me down so much. So let me break it down: First we started with 2 apps, the calamari and the crab cakes. The calamari actually wasn’t bad, cooked well but needed salt, or any seasoning. The crab cakes were one of the better things I tried, lot of crab and cooked well. There was some kind of mayo on top that I wasn’t terribly fond of but not too bad. Now for the awful part. 3 out of 5 people in our party ordered a special which was papadell pasta with scallops, shrimp and clams. It was bad. Not just bad, terrible. All of the seafood was overcooked and bland. There was a watery sauce in the bottom that was maybe just chicken stock. No flavor. And to top it off, 2 out of the 3 had no flavor and one had a spicy kick? Inconsistent and terrible. I was also able to try the pork chop, which was over cooked. I also tried a special of lamb chops, which I at first thought wasn’t bad. Cooked well, still needed salt tho. Then the 4th one was cut into and it was well done. The service was slow but friendly. We had to ask for and wait on water refills. To me, that’s common sense and if you are going to pay that much for a meal, I want my water refilled without waiting. There is absolutely nothing about this meal that makes me want to return. The prices are outrageous for the kind of food they serve. Maybe it was because the place was packed, I’m not sure but at least do yourself a favor and don’t go on a Friday night.

Visiting the area and used Unilocal to find a place for Friday dinner, came up with Sylvester’s and it was a winner. Nice homey feel to this upscale Italian eatery. The catch of the day was seabass and halibut, but we passed on those as the preparations didn’t grab us.(We learned that they will prepare the fish to order Monday thru Thursday; it was so packed and busy on Friday I can understand they can’t do it then.) I had the salmon and my husband, the walleye. Both were exceptionally delicious. Delicate breading on the walleye, like I’ve never seen before and a wonderful sauce. Salmon had a delectable orange glaze and was sweet and cooked to, perfection. We both chose a pasta side. With the salad, fresh hot bread plus a vegetable, there was plenty to take home and finish today. These are shareable entrees for sure. Homemade sale dressing was great, salad was fresh and nicely presented. Our server was very good, from observation it seems all the staff are well trained and professional. Service got a bit erratic, bit the place became packed in a very short time. Seems reservations are highly recommended. We were lucky we got there about 5:40PM. Would definitely return next time we’re in the Canton area. Nice town, by the way! Lots of Italian flavor… Salut!
