The amount of praise I can give is not enough! My waitress Ari was amazing, nice, couteous even though I walked in JUST when they opened. The place is spotless, with a really nice vibe. Its small and cosy, in addition to tables it has a small couch with a couple coffee tables. Its gets moderate sunlight, and is just genuinely cosy.
I ordered their chicken and waffles and was not dissapointed. The meat was tender and juicy and the outside crispy with a nice crumble to it. Very much how my mom makes it at home and THAT is a big compliment. The optional bourbon maple syrup had a pronounced bourbon flavour and blended well with the hot sauce. The waffle stood up well to the oil and syrup and a bit of yield and crisp throughout.
I HIGHLY recommend this place for a hearty breakfast. If you are in the area and have the time this is a MUST. I’m looking forward to trying their empanadas!

What a neat little café! Bellini was excellent and staff was so friendly and upbeat. Loved the décor. Breakfast was scrumptious. We were lucky enough to get a parking spot right outside the door. Otherwise, parking is in the public lot. There really wasn’t a sign for the café other than the tent sign on the sidewalk. I thought that was a little odd. But I had the address so we knew where to find it. Definitely would go back for another Bellini and breakfast!

I really enjoyed our meal. Great menu. House potatoes are great and homemade, empanadas were not good. Fries are not homemade. Chicken and waffles were awesome. A little too smokey inside due to frying. Great service. The view of planned parenthood is a little bothersome. Will come back. A gem in Newton.

Just want to say that this was a great find! The food, décor and service were amazing. This place made me feel right at home as a New Yorker that has relocated to the suburbs and the Cuban sandwich is amazing! My kids loved the waffles and pancakes!!!

Went for brunch with a friend on Sunday. Food was delicious and service was friendly and attentive. The look and feel of the place is low-​key and hip with wood floors, black décor, and red accents with low lighting. They play cool music which honestly improves the vibe by a ton. A lot of places around here could learn a thing or two from 4Chicks. Get the fish tacos with a mimosa!

AWESOME new café in Newton (a town that desperately needs updating)
came here for lunch with my boyfriend, got the chicken and waffles. SO delicious. the place is cozy and not snobby like cloveberry feels in Sparta. the people are so friendly and Eco-​conscious!
I’m coming back for brunch win my girlfriends! definitely recommend checking it out for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!!!

Great Cuban!
My wife and I hit this place for a weekday lunch. Super pleased. I had a Cuban sandwich with a side of sweet plantains, rather than the fries which were also offered.
First time I had sweet plantains. Perfect companion for the robust Cuban, which was itself spot on.
The young couple that runs this spot have big plans and are looking to expand next door. I wish them the best of luck.
Great, great establishment for Newton!

Very friendly place. I went here with my mom and we walked in and we were immediately greeted and sat quickly. As I walked in I noticed that there was an odor of «burned» deep frying oil in the air and I immediately thought that I was going to smell like this place for the rest of the day. Umm, turn on a fan or open the doors! I am super sensitive to smells and I had several places to be after I left there that day.
Now onto the food, I ordered the 4Chicks Bacon Cheeseburger and my mom ordered the BLT. When my burger arrived, I took a bite and noticed that it was a turkey burger with turkey bacon on it, not what I was expecting. When you order a burger, you think beef burger, right? Well, wrong! It was a turkey burger with turkey bacon. I happen to not like turkey at all. I asked the waitress about why if it was turkey, why was it not specified on the menu? She informed me that they use turkey and they do not specify it on the menu, then most people would probably not «try» it. She did go on to say that it was healthier and better for you. I know that, but I think their menu is deceptive. They should specify what they are serving. My mom’s BLT was the same. It was also made with turkey bacon which is just not your «typical» BLT. I think they need to be more clear on their menu especially for customers that may have food allergies, just saying. There are plenty of other good places in the area. I do not think that I will be back.

Just had lunch at this charming little place. Had fish tacos and my wife had the black bean salad. Both delicious. Happy to see a place like this open in Newton. Understand they are doing dinner on Thursdays and Fridays Will be back to try it out.

Value: We had a breakfast sandwich, french toast with hash browns and bacon, coffee and hot cider for under $ 16! Portions were appropriate, not giant plates of food– we finished everything and left satisfied, not stuffed.

Never disappointed. Have eaten here a few times since they opened and consistently amazed by great food, creative menu, atmosphere, great people behind it.

Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The service was fast and attentive. The atmosphere is family friendly and very cute. The chicken and waffles were awesome. I will most definitely be returning in the future! Way better than the boathouse in Stillwater

I want to say what a great find this place is! We found it on Unilocal and went because of the great reviews and they were spot on! I normally never order a waffle because they are hard and just nothing to write home about. I had Belgium waffles for breakfast and they were out of this world! Just soft and delicious. San had the chic and waffles and it was so flavourful. They even put cumin in in the coffee to remove any bitterness! Place was clean and very cosmopolitan for our area. We will be back!

Staying in this lovely town for a couple of weeks. Stopped by here for breakfast. Love the place. Comfortable, clean, and best of all great food! Highly recommended.

A welcome addition to the wasteland that is dining in the Newton, Sussex area! A quaint, beautiful, little, family operation, the kind of place Newton needed! We both had the waffles and chicken (chicken was amazing) and we took empanadas to go, havn’t tried them yet but since everything is homemade with love, I am sure it will be great! If you want fast food go to McDonalds, if you want great food, come here :)

Had breakfast here today. Great waffles and french toast. Really nice inside… bright, clean, and comfortable. Very fair prices for great food. One of the best stops in the Newton area for breakfast!

This small, fledgling, family — run café is doing everything right. It’s a bright, clean space, and the owners are very welcoming, and really make you feel at home. What’s even better, is the food was awesome!
My fiancé and I each had the Chicken & Waffles, and the plates were exactly as they should be. Everything hot, fresh, and cooked to order. The fried chicken was so crispy it snapped, and the meat was moist, seasoning just right, and it wasn’t oversalted. Waffles were hot, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, served with a dusting of confectioners sugar, and the plate came with sides of pancake syrup, and hot sauce. Their home fries were a departure from the norm, and could more rightly be called chips — thinly sliced and mixed with seared chopped green peppers. A very light, ungreasy interpretation of a traditional home fry, but it worked well as an accompaniment to the main dish.
Everything here is fresh and cooked to order, so plan on relaxing a little bit. There’s a difference between a slow kitchen, and one that pays attention to detail, this is definitely the latter, and worth the short wait. A really enjoyable experience from some nice proprietors. Show the love, and come out to support the 4 Chick’s Café, you won’t be disappointed.
We’ll definitely be back, and looking forward to trying more items. If you’re just looking for a sweet snack, they had some really seductive looking cakes and cookies in a countertop showcase, and fresh iced tea, lemonade, and iced coffee too.

You won’t be distracted on chilling with the passersby because its location is a little bit secluded. Parking isn’t a problem either. You can go side street or on their private parking area. You can choose and pump your own syrup (according to your taste) for your coffee. All good!

From Chicago visiting Family in NJ and being the person I am– I had to try a couple handfuls of spots to eat before leaving. I’m a big chicken & waffle head and let me tell you… This has been one of the best spots for it! The atmosphere there is amazing. Very fast & friendly service, Fresh food. I also tried their empanadas. AMAZING. Def a spot I’ll be going to every time I come to jersey! Wish they had one in Chicago =(

Came just for desert — fried Oreos and a chocolate waffle. Soooooo good. Wish we had come for lunch. Everyone in the restaurant was raving about the chicken and waffles. Ambiance is adorable and fun. Service was great and we even got complimentary mimosas. If you come on a Sat or Sun (Open 9 – 2), get the brunch special. Weekday hours are 8 – 5.

Me and my sons had the Chicken & Waffles they were excellent!!! The prices are unbeatable and there isn’t anything close to this kind of quality of food on this side of town.
