The staffs were pleasant. For the people that I came with, the wait time for a table was a little bit long due to the beeper not functioning, and that their food arrived later than mine. Over all, it was a pleasant dining experience.

A little disappointed with the service. We had called ahead for a party of about 125 days in advance and the staff seemed unprepared for us. They sat us in tight seating. We were going to be moved to a larger table and had to wait for the other party to leave. It took awhile so we decided to stay where we were. The waiter took a good while before coming back over and it was only when we brought it to the attention of the manager that we were helped again. In total we spent 2 hours at the restaurant before getting our complete meals, some of which were already cold at this point. Food is good. I just wouldn’t suggest this place for a large party.

Out of all the chain restaurants in the area, including the newest one(Texas roadhouse) I have to say Outback is THEBEST hands down! Aside from delicious bread, outstanding, fresh food and ALWAYS clean dishes.(Cleanliness & health is important) They have fantastic customer service. If they make a mistake, they own it. If they do a great job and you tell them they genuinely appreciate it. Steak here is delicious. They make it to order.(usually) I did have ONE time of the countless times I’ve been here, where they mixed up my husband and my steak. I like medium rare he likes medium well. They accidentally mixed them up, but did take them back to fix. Due to this, I decided to contact them on their official website & they were FANTASTIC! I personally spoke to the corporate manager that oversees several of the locations nearby and he is very genuine, he was so kind & respectful, and he was VERY accommodating. He called me to speak to me about my experience. He didn’t just respond to my email, he called me and left me a message. He was genuinely concerned and wanted to rectify whatever mistake was made. His professionalism & personality shined through & I can see why he is in the position he’s in. His concern and his solution were not expected, but greatly appreciated. He was an honest to God, great person. I have to say, hands down, this place has AWESOME costumer service skills. Especially from their district manager. Kudos to you and your team. For a chain restaurant you guys are GREAT. I’ll happily bring my family here and feel satisfied. 4 stars instead of 5, but I know you can get to the 4 and ½ mark real quick if you guys keep doing what your doing. District manager, if you teach your employees to be like you, you will have THE best chain restaurant out there. No doubt. Happy eats. :)

My husband and I decided to enjoy a valentine’s dinner at Outback but when my prime rib came out I wasn’t really happy with it. Long story short, the awesome waitress made sure I enjoyed my meal and the owner even made sure I was taken care of. I highly recommend this restaurant, not just for the food but also for the wonderful, pleasant staff that actually care about the customers. They even gave out flowers for Valentine’s! I will certainly be back.

Ended up here as the newly opened Texas Roadhouse had a huge line of people waiting to get in. We, a party of 4, were seated after a brief wait. Have not been at this location in several years and boy have things changed. PROS: * Lovely waiting are indoor with a couple of couches * Nice ambiance. Love the wood look *New to me menu. 5 different levels of how«done“your steak is. * Several upgrade items to inflate the bill. * Higher prices than I recall * Our server must have trouble retaining information. After specifically discussing water with a little ice she brought us a tall glass of ice with little water. Mashed potato without Bacon? Nope missed that last part. A carafe to be shared by two? Somehow became two individual drinks and then given a condescending talk about how it’s only 3 oz difference and a better value as there is less ice that way. No, I needed a simple«Sorry, my bad». Incidentally, it took us flagging down a passing manager to complain our waitress did not return to rectify the drink situation despite saying she would be right back. Manager’s take on it? The Bar is swamped and backed up. * The food was good, the filet mignon was tender, fries were hot, the veggies looked fresh. So does one rate a restaurant based on food or the service? Each can by itself ruin the evening. I am not really the type to complain expecting a freebie. I am a sucker for good service manners and will forgive imperfections if treated with due respect. The lack of that justifies the 2 star rating. Will we be back? Probably not, given the Texas Roadhouse across the street and the Longhorn a short distance away at Crystal Mall. Then of course the superb steakhouses(But more expensive) at Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods. Also don’t forget the Steak Loft in Mystic)

I really like the Fire Grilled option to the Outback steaks as it gives them such a good flavor. They also have a tasty Blue Cheese Wedge and some delicious mixed drinks. They have a bar area with first come first serve seating which is convenient if the dining room is full.

Usually a really long wait and no place to wait during the busy times. You always feel like you’re in the way no matter where you stand – they should consider a redesign. Food, drinks and service is average for a chain restaurant(hit or miss).

Tired of the rip off’ When you order Filet Mignon you get a Sirloin every time ! The Manager Neil could not tell the difference !? The service is horrible at times as well as today waited 25 minutes and asked 2x for Blue Cheese. This IS a Steakhouse ? Not going back and at least you now know’ their game.

Onions and steaks Outback Steakhouse is a pseudo Australian type of restaurant that was started in Tampa around 1988 and now has over 1,200 restaurants in 23 countries. Outback really pushes the down under theme and does offer some nice, authentic Australian things like Foster’s beer. However many of the different restaurants have menus that are very regional and emphasize local favorites. This particular Outback is clean and pleasant with efficient and friendly staff. Of curse since it is a steakhouse most of the menu is centered around meat, especially steaks, but there are some other options available. One of the signature items on virtually all Outback menus is something called a Bloomin’ Onion. This is a massive one pound onion beast that has over 1,500 calories. You better really like onions if you order this thing. Outback is a bit different and has found it’s niche. Easy to get a whole bunch of calories and fat here but then only an idiot would think this is a health food restaurant. They know exactly what they want to do and they do it pretty well. An interesting restaurant when you’re in the mood for some fake Australian atmosphere and food.

Not too bad actually. Just realize it’s junk food and quite unhealthy and you’ll do fine. We stayed at the Clarion Inn which shares a parking lot and a lot of travelers with this Outback and our options for eating were pretty much this place or nothing as we got in quite late. As it turned out the food made for a decent«cheat meal.» Now, I’m not the healthiest person but I’ve become much more aware of what I ingest and steer clear of food like this a lot more than I used to. SALTEVERYWHERE! On the bar, on your drinks, in the food and in the sauces, it’s inescapable so either don’t bother going or just enjoy yourself. Our bartender/server was pleasant and honest about the alcohol content, or lack thereof, in the drinks offered. Everything we ordered was fried and tasted just like you would expect. We had a few drinks so our logic failed us when we ordered the fried coconut shrimp. I was still very leery about eating seafood from a chain like this and I think we dodged a bullet by not getting sick but my rule is to never eat ANY seafood from a chain and we got lucky because it tasted ok. Overall it was a better than expected experience.

Jim was our server he was amazing!!! I’m a server myself, and it’s really hard to impress me but this guy is hilarious and quick! Everything came out in a timely manner and without him I don’t think our experience would have been nearly as great give this guy a bonus!

Decent food for a chain. Nice steaks, fair prices and a nice menu selection. The only issue I had was that my french onion soup had almost no onions in it LOL. But the bread and melted cheese were plentiful, and the broth was yummy. I will definitely go back at some point. It is a great place to go and get a solid dinner on a week night, and my whole family loves a decent steak. This place does not serve Wagyu or Kobe beef, and is not Craft Steak, but you’ll get a decent steak at about a tenth of the cost with a nice selection of sides. Head on down to the Outback… you’ll leave with a pleasantly filled belly that won’t bust your budget.

Prime rib done RARE, baby Went to dinner on Sunday night very quiet dark nice ambience Google music pulsing in the background looks like a nice place to talk and eat. The waitress was very nice and accommodating and quick and friendly. She brought warm small fresh loaf black bread on a rustic cutting board and butter to start us off. Shared the bloomin onion and stuff mushrooms both which were good, but the stuff mushrooms portion size was only four and they’re not that big so we were fighting over them. For drinks, had the blueberry acai cocktail and a bottle of Chardonnay. my friend and I each had the rear 9 ounce prime rib and which was nicely browned crossed on the outside and cooked perfectly on the inside. The steak was tasty although it didn’t come with much of a sauce but I guess that’s okay. One of us got the baked sweet potato with butter and the other got grilled thin asparagus which were al dente and delicious. The steaks came with a good sized Caesar salad; it’s cool fresh lettuce and shaved aged cheese were a nice complement to the meat. And so as the night went on we drink wine and talked and have a good meal and had fun. We also shared an excellent piece of cheesecake. total cost $ 99

The odor and the fact that my feet stuck to the floor when we walked were warnings I should have heeded. However, my husband was starving so we went up to the bar to order drinks and dinner. The omnipresent odor — dirty kitchen? greasy floors? — lingered in the background throughout our meal. I ordered the 6 oz. Victoria’s filet done medium and received what appeared to be a 4 oz., cheap piece of overdone sirloin. This was no filet and should not have been advertised as one. My husband’s $ 30 porterhouse was the smallest I’ve ever seen, and he left a pile of gristle on his plate. It was also unnerving to reach for the pepper shakers and feel that mine was coated in a thin slime of grease. I gave 2 stars only because of the friendly staff and because their gluten free menu really is gluten free — I had no reactions. Unfortunately I’ll never be going back to this place again because(A) it needs a good cleaning and(B) the menu is misrepresentative of what they are really serving. For these prices, go to a nice restaurant in New London and bypass the chain restaurants.

This is a family steakhouse. If you’re looking for designer beef, go elsewhere. That being said, Outback has consistently good food. Every time I order take out it’s hot, brought out quickly and handed over with a smile. I love that they offer a gluten free menu and actually have more options than just salad. Their mashed potatoes, grilled shrimp, and chicken are my favorites but have yet to try anything that wasn’t at least decent.

I am not a chain restaurant kind of person at all! But we had a gift certificate so we went to try. Friday night and it was very busy! The steak was very good and cooked the way I asked medium rare. I tend to have alot of problems with steak being overdone when I go out for steak. The salad was good and aspargus was grilled perfect. The only thing I was disappointed with was the buffalo shrimp it wasn’t very spicy and tasted like frozen from a package. Our service was very good and attentive.

I’m usually not a chain restaurant guy, but I have a soft spot for a steak at Outback. Love their Ceasar salad followed by a nice medium rare ribeye steak. Yum. It’s not the best steak in the world, and I can make better at home, but something about it brings me back pretty often. Definitely one of the best for a chain steak restaurant. This location is pretty good. Great service, minimal wait even during a really busy time.

Good service and decent food.(especially the rib eye). The only reason I give two stars is for the bartender. We sat at one of the high tops at the bar, while the bartender who was coughing constantly, while making drinks, without washing her hands! I’m sorry but it is flu season. Big turn off…

My sister is getting married and for her bachelorette party we all planned a weekend around Foxwoods casino. Since we all arrived fairly late last night(Friday), we just wanted a place to have some good food and drinks and set the tone for the weekend. The food and drinks were great(the strawberry peach sangria was excellent, though my steak was a little too much on the rare side of medium rare for my liking). What really made our visit memorable was the staff that went above and beyond the call of table waiting duties. I told them about the bachelorette party and asked if they could do anything special. They offered to bring out dessert and sing a song, but they didn’t have a bachelorette song. I suggested Beyonce’s All the Single Ladies and they got excited. In the end, they came out and sang my sister a song they had made up(they tried learning All the Single Ladies in the kitchen but couldn’t get the lyrics). She had a really wonderful time and it was a great way to start the festivities. I want to thank Julian and the rest of the Outback staff for such great service.

Always delicious. Love the cheese fries, way better than Chili’s This is my favorite place to get wings. The seasoning is perfect. And they aren’t over priced. I will always love to come here no matter what. But service was a little slow today.
