This place is good. The wings are the best I’ve ever had. They used to be a takeout joint. I’m happy they opened a restaurant. However they need to get their stuff together. The beer selection was only okay. The wings tasted AMAZING but some were luke warm and they screwed up the order on our second batch. This place could beat the other well known wing placed around easily if they organized some. Definitely worthy of a return trip or two on different days of the week to see how they do.

I love this place. I’ve ordered many, many times and have never been disappointed.

If I could do no stars I would. Went there on a Friday at 12:55. Ordered within 7 minutes and by 1:35 still no food. Asked for it to go and waited another 8 minutes with nothing. All we ordered was tenders, fries and a crispy chicken wrap. The bartender/​waitress was getting short with us when I said we needed to just pay for our drinks and go. Gave the $ 20 gift certificate to a family that was there before us and had JUST gotten their food and left never to return.

Pretty good pizza and wings! We ordered here a lot for my work employees and they were always fast and prompt on delivery. The food is great! It’s funny to see 5 or 6 large pizzas disappear fast from my employees who scarfed them down! It must be good! They have a ton of toppings to choose from. Personal favorite is the buffalo chicken.
For me, the pizza is the better part of that two, didn’t care much for the wings. Felt they were average and just doused in sauces. I typically enjoy a wing where you can still taste the chicken and then the flavors or sauces on top.

My friend and I came in for lunch and some appetizers and while everything was OKAYYYY… nothing was particularly great.
The server was friendly, although slow in checking in on us throughout the meal and getting our check.
The atmosphere was dark and kinda dirty. Not that the tables were dirty or anything but you can see cobwebs of dust on the lighting fixtures above a few tables over and dark stains in the drop down ceiling tiles.
The presentation and look of the food was very wiltedly beige… and nothing really being crisp. My chicken cutlet sandwich was REALLY thin and the bread was almost too darkly toasted (and yet the bread still wasn’t crispy somehow).
The broccolli bites were tasty until I got a cold one… like it had been frozen but hadn’t fried long enough for the inside to get warm like the outside. Pickle chips were fair.
My friend and I left feeling underwhelmed and maybe that our folly was not ordering any the wings nor pies.
I suspect this place is a much better night time, watching the game with a pitcher of beer, and some onion rings sort of place.

We ordered a house special pizza for delivery. No olives, well done, extra cheese. We received a soggy pizza, loaded with olives and no cheese. What would you like me to do (when I called to complain) — we can send out another… how’s about just sending me what we ordered which we originally confirmed over and over again. Too hungry to care but will not order from them again !

This dump zone is right near my place so I always get raked into going. I decided to hit the happy hour special with half priced apps. I got the buffalo chicken dip. I was expecting some chunks of chicken in a dip but boy was I wrong. There was no thickness to the sauce at all. Was this food or was this the excrement of the cook after eating all the crap at this place? There was not a single piece of chicken in that sauce. I was gagging trying to choke it down. Everybody at my table was confused about what the dip actually was. Also I ordered the jalapeño poppers and they brought me out just 4 of them. WHAT? I was bummed out to say the least. New London has much potential to have good food, but sadly dumps like this keep opening up.

Know that this place has moved to 131 State Street, and that it has very good wings. We had good service but a very slow kitchen on a Sunday night. We didn’t have a deadline, so talking while waiting 45 minutes for dinner wasn’t a big deal. In addition, the wait person took off one glass of wine for the long wait, which we appreciated. Highly recommend for a casual night out for wings and drinks.

I ordered a bbq chicken pizza for delivery. I was told it would be about 35 minutes and approximately 35 minutes later the pizza arrived on time. The pizza was average and nothing special. The bbq sauce was nice and tangy but the pizza could have used more cheese. The crust was just ok. I was a little annoyed they charge a delivery fee but don’t tell you about the fee until after they make the delivery. The person on the phone taking my order also had a bit of an attitude. When I asked for diet coke they gave me an attitude that they only serve Pepsi products yet their menu says coke products.

I must say, everything I’ve had here has been especially good, two different types of pizza and a few versions of grinders. I can’t imagine how anyone could be disappointed based on the food I’ve had

My sponsor cadet put me on to this place. Had ordered delivery a few times but am now sold when I went in person. Asked for a custom gyro pizza and they did not disappoint! You won’t see it on the menu but if u like what comes in a gyro, just ask. At the same time, I brought a group of friends from out of town and all were thoroughly happy.

Buffalo Chicken pizza so good, you’ll want to breed buffalo chickens at home to try yourself… but you will fail. These chefs are culinary wizards.

Wings are good. Service is awful and unprofessional. We called in a take out order and when we arrived to pick it up the owner was at the bar eating and complaining about customers and lack of business. I wonder why?

Good bar food. Burgers are usually our favorite here. Husband ordered the Reuben and enjoyed it. Love that they deliver. Service is okay. Not so great wings. Way too dry, inside and out. Overall pretty good though.

Was kinda disappointed ordered a large pie green peppers/roni/onions…ask for it to be well toasted crisp… and the green peppers/​onions were raw. Ordered the same pie before from Ozzie it was good this one no bueno. I did call them though and told them
I was disappointed Ozzie listen For that Ill give another star. Don’t know if I’ll go back again.

Wings are amazing. Pizza is not so good. Also their location, it seems, has changed. No longer at the Clarion Hotel. They are located at the Holiday Inn in New London center.

I work in an RA position (floor governor) at Connecticut College. I have had to order mass amounts of pizza for my residents and I have to say that I am impressed with their efficiency. They are never late and the food is always great. The Pizza in large amounts could be a little better but overall better than you would expect. The wings are also very good, though I wish they could be bigger. The sauce is what makes them so good and worth buying.
On customer service alone, I applaud them for what they did this past weekend. In the wake of snowstorm Nemo, I ordered a pizza with the intentions of picking it up. However I could not get a ride over there. I asked them if they were willing to deliver and they refused to drive in the blizzard understandably. At first I had to pay for my pizza even though I had no chance of getting it. 20 minutes later the hostess called me back feeling bad about the situation and the OWNER HIMSELF ended up delivering the pizza to me with winds probably over 40 mph, snow blowing everywhere. I will never forget that and will make sure that as long as I’m at Conn, I will give them my business.
By the way. Order the buffalo chicken pizza, its a little more expensive because it’s a gourmet pizza but its well worth it. make sure to order it with blue cheese.

Good place, excellent quality food. Its inside a hotel but a great place.

Wings and Pie is an excellent value for the money. Their sauce selection is excellent, their pizzas and calzones are good, and the value for the money is excellent.
And they deliver.

My wife and I ordered some food from here one weekend and I was impressed. I asked if they deliver and they said they’d deliver to me in Waterford for a delivery fee ($ 4) and that it’d take a little while (45 mins). As for the food I had cajun french fries (which were delicious and had a great seasoning that I’d recommend to anyone who likes spicy food) and I order the boneless strips with their medium sauce and it had a little kick to it and the chicken was very good. My wife got a steak and cheese grinder and she really enjoyed it… overall it was a good experience.
Pros:
Lots of sauces, plenty of variety, fairly cheap, they deliver, and they offer and military discount.
Cons:
If not in New London they charge a delivery fee, there was a pretty long wait
