Super Sergio’s

Super sergios used to be my all time favorite taco shop, but lately their quality in food has went down. Always giving me someone elses order or messing up an order, take forever, their horchata tastes nothing like how they used to make it, they even cut down on the carne asada fries, that cost $ 10 with NO FLAVOR, and Their salsa isnt as spicy anymore. They had the BEST salsa in National City. Im honestly disappointed, but I continue visiting to see if there will be improvements, but unfortunately, today is the day I will STOP eating at Super Sergios for the first time throughout my entire life. Im honestly so sad. Hope you get better soon!

Ordered carne Asada Fries the taste was on point however lack of meat. I will try again during the day.

Worst place to go at found a hair on my burrito and I told the girl and she thinks that I don’t understand Spanish. She told the manager and the manager told her to tell me congrats they found the missing hair in Spanish like it was a joke. Never coming back

This place used to be great, now it’s below average. Usually ordered the flying saucer, today i feel sick. I just got quizzy eating this. I won’t go back

Surf & Turf is on point! I come here when I’m in National City. Size of the burrito matches its price.

I remember when this place used to be the sh*t. Now it’s just like ehh. I mean the food was good but now it’s alright. I will only come here if it’s the last taco shop on the planet loll

I added beans an they put the tiniest smear. 2^nd time coming 2^nd time disappointed.

Super Sergio’s Legit! Roll Tacos, Carne Asada Fries!!! Best thing Ever… Drive Thru could be a paint in the butt with the wait time… And the guy at the window could be more friendly. Other than that Good Stuff!

This place sucks. I used to go back in the days and now staff changed, the food is not the same. Don’t recommend at all!!!

Kitchen is fully staffed, where other Mexican Food places only have 1 cook per shift. Plenty of indoor seating & 1 restroom. My order’s food temperature wasn’t cold, but I thought it could of been hotter. Which led to me rate them as 4 star review.

Way over hyped. Anything tastes good when you’re intoxicated. I’ve eaten here a few times and ordered a few different meals just to see if any of it was good. I wasn’t impressed with anything I ordered. The Horchata is good and the Carne Asada fries will do when you’re intoxicated but that’s about it. Don’t know why so many people love this place.

On 1÷29÷16, An Employee, name I will withhold, took my cell phone from the bench I sat while he cleaned the table. At my car I realized I forgot it and immediately walked back to the bench. The employee that cleaned the table pretended he did not take it. He eventually stated, «why would I want an iPhone, I can’t even connect it from where I am». I had not informed this employee the cell phone was an iPhone prior to his spontaneous comment. This employee told me his first name and then refused to give his last name. Eventually another female staff member was cordial enough to help me dial my cell phone while at the taco shop.
I request the owners attention to this theft. I am also filing a police report with National City police.

Heard this place was BOMB however, it was total opposite. After hearing that everyone loved going her back in the day I decided why not give it a try. We ordered Carne Asada Fried and rolled tacos. We asked for well done fries and got undercooked fries. There wasn’t much meat and it was so plain and had just cheese. I like my Carne asada fries with all the works however this place didn’t have that. The rolled tacos were also a miss. It wasn’t crunchy at all. I felt like the food we ordered was made an hr ago. Didn’t taste fresh at all and it’s overpriced.

Que Rico ! Best bacon burrito ever!!! One of my fave Mexican foodie place in National city. And of course the Carnitas tacos really soft tender meat and juicy ! Highly recommended you won’t regret. Customer service friendly too. These guys works here are my Homies! Super nice ! I usually call in my order and it’s super fast! Nom nom nom ;)

National City has a VERY STRONG Mexican population. National City itself is 15…20 minutes from the border. As such, when you have a Mexican Food spot in National City you better come correct. If you do not come correct you are a laughing stock before going out of business. SUPER SERGIO’S has been doing it for decades and it is simple… SUPER SERGIO’S IS AMONG THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS AROUND THESE HERE PARTS… Bottom line.
If you find yourself in National City and you want that REAL Mexican Food… SUPER SERGIO’S has you covered.

If it wasn’t for tacos el gordo this would be my favorite taco shop but it will just have to settle for 2^nd place. The california burritos are great and rolled tacos are made just the way I like them. Drive thru service is fast and proper.

Place was clean and staff was cool, but the food is not very good. I ordered the #21 which came with a taco, an enchilada and a chile relleno. Everything was cold. I love shredded cheese on everything, but when your enchilada is cold and you cut into it and nothing but cold shredded cheese falls out, it’s a fail. The rice they serve is flavorless. The beans are not ok. A few of my friends rave about this place but i must say I don’t think ill be returning.

Pretty decent Mexican food, and sometimes been hit and miss every time I’ve came here. It’s a great place to grab some food after a night of drinking or dancing, but the dine in area is pretty small so expect it to be packet during after hours that’s for sure.
One thing I highly recommend is the carne asada fries! Man do they over load them, and there’s more than enough for two people. Roll tacos are pretty good, the burritos are massive! You’ll definitely get your money’s worth with any burrito you order, and for most of the food on the menu as well.

Open 21hours!
After a night of partying this is the usual spot to go to for a quick bite to eat.
I always order a carne asada burrito 90% of the time. If i’m super hungry i’ll order carne asada fries or carne asada chips. These 3 items are always consistent when i come to Super Sergios. Never disappoints. although their rolled tacos can be better and you can’t go wrong with a cheese or carne asada quesedilla.
This place can get packed on Friday/​Saturday late night.
If you’re looking for consistent mexican taco shop food this is the place to go.

Dear Super Sergio’s,
We were frequent customers. I mean, once-​a-​week-​religiously customers.
We were so happy with your food… and I mean SO HAPPY that we never really cared that you were so far from our home.
We would drive up all the way from Imperial Beach to have some of your deliciousness.
But the last three trips were nothing but disappointments.
We gave you a second and third chance in hopes that it was just a fluke… but…but it wasn’t!
What did we do to you to deserve such a dramatic change in the quality of food?
Your beans taste like they’ve been sitting on the stovetop for over 3 days without refrigeration. They taste rotten!
Haven’t we been loyal to you?
And what’s with the old slimy lettuce and brown guacamole on our rolled tacos?
Did we not spend enough on you?
And why, oh why are the burritos cut down to less than half in size? I used to order the chorizo burritos because they were just so perfect!
This last one was an inch away from a rolled taco! Hardly any eggs in it and soooo oily!
I actually vomited from all of the oil!
I’m sorry Super Sergio’s…but we are going to have to break up.
I dedicate Whitney Houston’s «I Will Always Love You» to you.
But we are not going to drive up from IB to see you anymore.
